Abstract: A tool rest positioning device for wood lathe includes a base, an operation rod, a positioning device, and a holding member. The operation rod passes through the base and rotates between a locked position and an unlocked position. The positioning device includes an eccentric member, a pulling member, and an abutting assembly. The operation rod passes through the eccentric member. The pulling member is pivotally disposed on the outer periphery of the eccentric member. The abutting assembly is disposed on one end of the pulling member away from the eccentric member. At the locked position, the eccentric member drives the pulling member to pull the abutting assembly to abut against the slide rail of the lathe. The holding member is disposed in the base, preventing the operation rod from moving away from a containing groove at the locked position to be deformed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to 3D printer inputs including filaments comprising separated layers or sections. These inputs particularly including filaments may be prepared by coextrusion, microlayer coextrusion or multicomponent/fractal coextrusion. These inputs and specifically filaments enable layering or combining different materials simultaneously through one or more nozzles during the so-called 3D printing process. These techniques facilitate smaller layer sizes (milli, micro, and nano) different layer configurations as well as the potential to incorporate materials that would otherwise not be usable in standard 3D printer methods.

Abstract: In an example 3D printing method, an electrical conductivity value for a resistor is identified. Based upon the identified electrical conductivity value, a predetermined amount of a conductive agent is selectively applied to at least a portion of a build material layer in order to introduce a predetermined volume percentage of a conductive material to the resistor. Based upon the identified electrical conductivity value and the predetermined volume percent of the conductive material, a predetermined amount of a resistive agent is selectively applied to the at least a portion of the build material layer in order to introduce a predetermined volume percentage of a resistive material to the resistor. The build material layer is exposed to electromagnetic radiation, whereby the at least the portion coalesces to form a layer of the resistor.

Abstract: 3D printed objects have imperfections that result in small ridges or horizontal stripes on any model that is printed. A trowel like arm known as a slip form is affixed near the print head to allow for the models to have a more perfect finish. This retractable slip form helps prevent the small ridges and horizontal stripes that form during the printing process.

Abstract: A printhead for three-dimensional printing features a mixing cavity and a mixing rotor with a mixing portion disposed within the mixing cavity. The mixing rotor is operated by a motor to mix at least one polymeric stream received in the mixing cavity. The system further includes a control valve having a seat and a valve stem. The valve stem is mounted such that at least a portion thereof traverses through a void made along the mixing rotor. A pressure-generating mechanism advances the polymeric stream in a downstream direction into the mixing cavity and further through the flow passage of the control valve toward the outlet of the printhead. Linear movement or rotation of the valve stem is used to control the form of the flow passage and, therefore, the flow of the polymeric stream through the printhead.

Abstract: A print head for additively manufacturing fiber-reinforced composite materials includes a feed channel, a heating block, a nozzle and a cutting unit. A filament of the fiber-reinforced material enters an inlet of the nozzle through the feed channel, leaves the nozzle via an outlet of the nozzle, and is deposited on a print bed. The cutting unit is located inside the heating block which has a beneficial effect on the cut and/or the shearing of the material to be printed. The invention also relates to a method in which the filament is cut and/or sheared, wherein the cutting unit performs a linear movement or rotation, or the print head per se performs a linear movement or rotation, as a result of which the filament is cut and/or sheared off.
