Abstract: An acquirer acquires driving data of an electrically-powered moving body. A predictor predicts, based on the driving data of the electrically-powered moving body, an aging failure of an electromechanical transducer including a motor driving a driving wheel of the electrically-powered moving body and a drive circuit driving the motor. The driving data include an input voltage of the drive circuit, an input current of the drive circuit, a rotational speed of the motor driven by the drive circuit, and a rotational torque of the motor. The predictor predicts the aging failure of the electromechanical transducer based on a change of a value statistically representing a relationship between an input electric power of the drive circuit, obtained based on the input voltage and the input current of the drive circuit, and a shaft output power of the motor, obtained based on the rotational speed and the rotational torque of the motor.

Abstract: A method of determining a state of health of a vehicle battery on a hybrid or electric vehicle includes receiving diagnostic data including a trouble code status, an internal resistance and temperature of the battery cells. The vehicle battery charging and discharging are monitored and cell voltage for each of the battery cells is requested when the battery charging meets a charging threshold and the battery discharging meets a discharging threshold. The cell voltage is received from each of the battery cells and a determination of a voltage balance is made by comparing received voltages to a known average voltage range. A battery state of health is calculated based on a combined assessment of the diagnostic trouble code status, the internal resistance and temperature of the battery cells, and the voltage balance.

Abstract: Battery node diagnostic data may be received from a battery system. One or more outlier detection machine learning models may be selected based on profile information included in the battery node diagnostic data. The profile information may identify a battery node operation profile associated with some or all of the battery node diagnostic data. One or more of the battery nodes may be identified as outliers by applying the one or more outlier detection machine learning models to identify one or more differences between first diagnostic data for the designated subset of the battery nodes and a population-level representation of the battery node diagnostic data. Outcome values may be determined by applying one or more predetermined rules to the battery node diagnostic data. A battery node may be identified as exhibiting a fault based on the designated subset of the battery nodes and the plurality of outcome values.
