A fuzzy interface layer between each metal oxide layer and reducing metal layer includes reducing metal, reducing metal oxide, and metal oxide at least partially intermixed therein. The fuzzy interface layer forms while moving between chambers in a multi-chamber deposition process which minimizes exposure of the reducing metal to oxygen while moving between chambers. The fuzzy interface layer is not expected to grow in thickness after deposition. The method includes obtaining route information including designated routes and their distances in a defined operation period for the EV, and battery information including a consumption factor and a charging rate for a battery of the EV. The method further includes adding dummy routes representative of a predefined charging time period for the battery in the defined operation period. The method further includes defining a dummy factor having a first value for each of the designated routes for the energy being consumed, and a second value for each of the dummy routes for the energy being replenished. The method further includes determining a schedule for the designated routes and the dummy routes for the EV using an optimization model having constraints for the route information, the battery information and the dummy factor.

Abstract: A method for planning an optimal geographical route by an electric car from origin to destination locations, using an objective of minimizing estimated time, minimizing distance to travel, or minimizing charging price, while arriving at all user-defined multiple locations along the route. The method uses time or trip sensitive data and non-time/trip sensitive data, the data include environmental factors (such as roads map, charging stations location, and weather), car related factors, and driver or user factors. The optimal route planning may be based on Bayesian network or optimization, such as by using a Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP), a Linear Programming (LP) problem, using unsupervised clustering such as K-Means clustering or algorithm, or using casual inference methodology or process that is based on Bayesian inference or Frequentist statistical inference. Any data item used may be obtained from a database, a server, or from a local or remote sensor.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides computer-implemented methods, systems, and devices for integrating external services into a navigation system. A computing device receives, from a user computing system associated with a user, a navigation request, the navigation request including a destination. The computing device generates, based on geographic data stored in a database, a suggested route to the destination, wherein the suggested route includes an interaction with a system other than the navigation system. The computing device transmits, to the user computing system, route recommendation data for display at the user computing system, the route recommendation including a recommendation to perform the interaction with the system other than the navigation system. The computing device, in response to receiving an approval indication from the user computing system, transmits initiation data to the system other than the navigation system to initiate the interaction.

Abstract: An optimization and recommendation engine can receive user location data to programmatically generate customized recommendations regarding the user's operation as a potential service provider for a network service. The optimization and recommendation engine can determine potential service routes based on the user location data indicating a frequent route of the user and on service data associated with the network service. The optimization and recommendation engine can also perform multivariate optimizations to select one or more optimal service routes from the potential service routes. The recommendations can include the one or more optimal service routes as well as parameters associated with such routes. The recommendations can further include a comparison of the parameters against characteristics of the user's frequent route.

Abstract: A display device includes: a controller that determines a form in which to display a display object indicating a guide image based on a route (scheduled route) a vehicle is scheduled to drive on; and a display that projects light that forms the display object in the form determined by the controller onto a display medium in the vehicle that reflects the light toward a user in the vehicle, making the display object displayed beyond the display medium visible to the user as a virtual image. When a condition related to driving of the vehicle is satisfied, the controller determines the form so as to give the display object a shape corresponding to a view of the virtual image from an angle of depression greater than an angle of depression corresponding to a view of the virtual image from a viewpoint of the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods are directed to detecting uncontrolled intersections and providing warnings. In response to a navigation request from a user device, the system generates a navigation route using integrated map data, whereby the integrated map data includes indications of uncontrolled intersections that comprise intersections where at least some of the traffic is not required to stop. The system causes presentation of the navigation route in a user interface on the user device and monitors navigation of a vehicle associated with the user device along the navigation route. If the system detects that the vehicle is approaching an uncontrolled intersection based on the monitoring and the integrated map data, the system causes presentation of a warning indicating the uncontrolled intersection in the user interface.

Abstract: Patterns in lane data and traffic signal data around intersections are used to detect potential errors in map databases and automatically generate data for map databases. Groups of lanes inbound into intersections and/or outbound from intersections can be categorized, and these categories may be used to compare lanes around an intersection, or at multiple intersections along a roadway or in a region. Deviations from expected patterns of these intersection categories may be used to identify errors. Patterns of internal lanes based on external lanes and traffic signal data may be used to automatically generate internal lane data for intersections.

Vehicles may also determine the location of reference objects relative to the vehicles, where the location of the reference objects in an absolute coordinate system is also known. The absolute coordinates of various detected objects may then be determined from the absolute position of the reference objects and the locations of other objects relative to the reference objects. Newly-determined absolute locations of detected objects may then be transmitted to HD map services for updating.
