Abstract: A compactor for compacting material includes a trough adapted to hold the material for compaction. A feed channel is coupled to the trough. A shearing die assembly having a first aperture aligned with the feed channel is adapted to receive material and a second aperture is adapted to receive a ramming portion.
Abstract: A belt filter for effecting separation of liquid from solids where, at the collection zone, a filter belt or belts is changed shape so as to provide a supporting shape to bold liquid, which is then fed into a nipping zone. In an embodiment there is a single belt used which is folded in a middle portion to provide the supporting shape.
Abstract: A folding table is described with a tablet and supporting frame. The frame includes an outer and inner pair of legs as well as a U-shaped link bar. The outer legs are directly attached by a connector to the underside of the tablet. The inner legs are pivotally joined to the outer ones and further are pivotally joined to the U-shaped link bar. In turn, free ends of the link bar are pivotally attached to the underside of the tablet through an L-shaped bracket. A stop device in the form of a brace with leg extending orthogonally outward is attached onto the link bar to brace the latter against the inner legs when the table is in the open upright position. Each of the legs have upper and lower portions, these portions being bent at an obtuse angle relative to one another. When the table is completely folded, the upper portions of the legs are oriented parallel to one another while the lower ones are oriented away from one another.
Abstract: A belt filter press comprising two co-operating, endless belts, particularly for manure, which according to the invention takes steps to enable liquid and solid substance to be better separated from each other. The pressure between the endless belts is increased, the longitudinal edges are sufficiently sealed and substance that is still too moist is subjected repeatedly to compression since it remains stuck to the upper endless belt and is carried to the intake of the belts.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for processing fresh cheese curd such as is produced in the manufacture of cottage cheese. Employs a belt in the form of a plastic screen which is caused to press a continuous layer of the curd against the peripheral surface of a rotatable drum to express liquid and to provide a curd of the desired moisture content for further processing. The pressing action can be controlled by adjusting the belt tension.
Abstract: Apparatus for dewatering sludge comprising a primary dewatering section in which the sludge is supported on a filter means sloped downwardly towards the center, and a secondary dewatering section which follows the primary dewatering section and through which the sludge is carried on a non-filtering support which is sloped downwardly towards the side, and means for applying pressure onto the top side of the sludge layer during passage through the primary and secondary dewatering sections.
