Portable Receptacle Lid Applying Patents (Class 100/54)
  • Patent number: 8260528
Abstract: A control system for a vehicle includes a CPU, a throttle sensor, a brake sensor, and fuel injectors. When the CPU detects a control failure of the throttle valve with a value detected by the throttle sensor, the CPU adjusts the output of the engine by controlling the fuel injectors such that the motorcycle runs with a previously set negative target acceleration. Also, when the CPU detects a brake operation by the driver with the brake sensor after the occurrence of the control failure, the CPU corrects the target acceleration such that the deceleration of the motorcycle becomes larger. Then, the CPU adjusts the output of the engine such that the motorcycle runs with the corrected target acceleration.

Abstract: A lid construction is described for compression of the content of a container, where a body in connection to the lid of the container is set up to create a pressure down onto the content such that it is compressed. It is characterised in that it comprises a moment arm construction which on rotation is set up to push the element down to its active position, and to be pulled up to its passive, rest position. The moment arm construction is preferably integrated in the lid, and it comprises compacting a relatively longer arm part (40a,40b) which is firmly connected to the relatively shorter arm part (48a,48b), and where the moment arm is rotary mounted in the lid. Also described is a construction of a docking station for a waste container and where the lid construction is integrated. Application of the inventions is also described.

  • Patent number: 4988019
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new and improved system design associated with the storage and/or utilization of any edible such as tea, coffee, soups, and the like, that is contained in a bag structure. The invention defines a compact enclosure capable of providing air tight packaging, whereupon, removal of the lid of the packaging enclosure of the device allows for the removal of the straining container and the edible contained within the bag structure. The bag structure has affixed to the free end of a string attached to the bag structure, a disk member whose dimensions are compatible, with the opening appearing in the straining container contained within the packaging enclosure. The straining container additionally has formed through the bottom portion thereof, holes to allow for the passage of a liquid squeezed from said bag structure in accordance with the invention.

  • Patent number: 4297161
Abstract: An apparatus for heat sealing composite lids, made of a laminate of a light ductile alloy coated with a layer of thermoweldable plastic material, on glass containers. The apparatus applies, under pressure, a flexible membrane onto said lid while disposed in position on the mouth of a glass container. The membrane is a simple sheet stretchingly supported by its outer periphery on a movably and hingedly supporting frame. The side of said membrane opposite said lid is subjected to a controlled heat flow, thus sealing the lid to the container.

  • Patent number: 4263843
Abstract: Method and apparatus for removing excess ceramic slurry from polyurethane foam used as a matrix for ceramic material in manufacturing filters for molten metals such as aluminum. The apparatus comprises a first chamber for retaining a body of polyurethane foam impregnated with a slurry of ceramic material; a second chamber; a slurry-permeable screen between the first and second chambers; and compression means for pressing the polyurethane foam against the screen. By evacuating the second chamber and simultaneously compressing the foam against the screen, slurry is withdrawn from the foam into the second chamber while retaining in the foam an evenly distributed residue of ceramic material.
