Roller Patents (Class 101/314)
  • Patent number: 6619204
Abstract: There is disclosed a hand-held labeler which is easy to load, clean and service. The labeler has a gear driven print head wherein the print head is situated on an upper housing section and the print head is actuated from a lower housing section. The upper housing section can be moved to an open position without interfering with the maintenance of the drive connection with the print head or the advance of a label carrying web through the labeler. An inker enables an ink roller to be easily inserted and removed without ink from the ink roller being transferred to the user's hands. An impression control device has only a small number of parts and is easy to assemble.

  • Patent number: 4356767
Abstract: A hand operated label printing machine in which a series of labels are incrementally fed onto a printing platen in response to the squeezing of a hand lever so that they may be imprinted with selected indicia. The hand labeler is equipped with an ink supply device, comprising a holder that holds two inking rollers. The holder is movable to bring the inking rollers into and out of contact with the types of the printing device to ink them. The ink supply device is actuated by a mechanism which is comprised of a combination of a cam pivotally attached to the machine frame and a roller pivotable with the printing head supporting printing lever for being received in the cam and for pivoting the cam with the printing lever. A link joins the cam with the holder, so that pivoting of the cam moves the holder. Guide grooves in the machine frame regulate the inking roller motion along different loci. The link has a slot in it which prevents the holder from linear protrusion to the front of the labeler frame.

  • Patent number: 4056183
Abstract: A printer unit for selectively printing on documents fed between a matrix printer and a rotatable inked platen. The platen is actuably movable between a retracted position and an advanced print position. The document while being printed upon is moved at the same speed as the velocity of the periphery of the rotating platen. The document feed is limited by a feed control roller cooperating with a pressure roller. The feed control roller is coaxial with the rotatable platen and is adapted to move therewith between the retracted position and the print position. A solenoid is provided to move the feed control roller and platen between the two positions. The documents are permitted to pass through the print station unimpeded when the roller platen and feed control roller are retracted.
