Abstract: A graphic arts die assembly includes a die carrier plate, a die, and a die adjuster. The die is adjustably supported on the die carrier plate. The die presents an outer margin and an engraved surface within the outer margin. The die further presents an adjuster surface that extends transversely relative to the engraved surface. The die adjuster shiftably engages the adjuster surface, with shifting movement of the die adjuster causing relative movement between the die and the die carrier plate.

Abstract: A tool for clamping using end surfaces of box workpieces, comprises a soleplate and an upper template. A tightening cylinder has a piston rod connected with a top plate, and the top plate and the piston rods are in swinging connection. Three protrusions are arranged on the upper surface of the top plate and distributed in a triangle shape. A rotating shaft is arranged beside a position of the upper template, the upper end of the rotating shaft is provided with a hand wheel capable of driving the rotating shaft to rotate, the rotating shaft is sleeved with a compression spring on the portion between the hand wheel and the upper surface of the upper template, and the lower end of the rotating shaft is fixed with one end of a transverse support rod which is linked with the rotating shaft.

Abstract: A plate cylinder including a plate cylinder body; a first partially cylindrical image carrying shell and a second partially cylindrical image carrying shell, the shells being removably fastened to the plate cylinder body. Printing plates can be prefastened to the shells. The present invention also provides a method for attachment to a printing cylinder including the steps of mounting a first partially cylindrical shell and a second partially cylindrical shell to a printing cylinder body.

Abstract: Apparatus for changing press cauls of a heated press used for fabricating a finished board. A plurality of rods having mandrels are arranged adjacent the longitudinal sides of said cauls and removably positioned in a corresponding plurality of receiving loops secured to each caul. The cauls may then be moved vertically with respect to their platens. Clamps are used to secure each caul to their respective platens. Conveyor belts are used to insert a new caul pack into the press after removal of the old cauls. The conveyor belts are secured to a plurality of arms having suction pickup means and holders used to remove a protective intermediate layer between the cauls for completing the insertion operation.

Abstract: Apparatus for holding an end portion of a printing blanket on an associated printing cylinder is provided and employs an elongate holding bar and bar support which cooperate to hold such end portion in position in a highly efficient manner and the apparatus has double eccentric means for quickly attaching and detaching the holding bar relative to the bar support.
