    Abstract: An ski paraphernalia basket for use with a chair ski lift having a pivotally moveable safety bar is disclosed. The basket includes a floor suitable for receiving ski paraphernalia, first and second side walls extending upwardly from the floor, and front and rear walls extending upwardly from the floor. The front wall includes an exterior surface having a plurality of inner fastening blocks disposed on thereon. Each inner fastening block includes a recess and each recess is preferably shaped to cradle the safety bar. An outer fastening block is preferably attached to each inner fastening block. Each outer fastening block includes a recess shaped to cradle the safety bar and a sub recess shaped to receive a clamp associated with the safety bar.

    Abstract: A portable ski tow mechanism utilizing a first winch (1) positioned adjacent one end of the ski run. The main ski rope (9) is wound onto a cable drum of the first winch (1). The rope (9) can be partly withdrawn and the free end transported to a remote location. The cable drum is rotated to wind the ski rope (9) onto the cable drum and to pull the skiers up the ski slope. In a modification, a second winch (20) is utilised. The second winch (20) has a cable drum on which an auxiliary rope (21) is wound. The free end of the auxiliary rope (21) is joined (22) to the free end of the main ski rope (9) and the auxiliary rope (21) is wound onto the cable drum of the second winch (20) to withdrawn the main ski rope (9) from the first winch (1). The two winches (1, 20) can be located at the same end of the ski run or at the opposite ends of the ski run.

Carriages, to which there are attached transport assemblies, can be displaced along the supporting cable. Each transport assembly accommodates at least one person. The transport assembly may be a cabin, a chair, a supporting harness, or the like. A supporting and guide rail is fastened on the supporting cable and the carriage can be displaced along the supporting and guide rail from the mountain station into the valley station.

    Abstract: The installation conveys persons from a valley station to a mountain station and for carries individuals from the mountain station to the valley station via carriages that are guided along a track formed by a running rail. The installation has a cableway system with a haulage cable and transport assemblies that can be coupled thereto and are intended for persons and for conveying devices that convey the carriages from the valley station to the mountain station. The haulage cable is guided over cable-deflecting pulleys in the valley station and in the mountain station. Guide rails are provided in the valley station and in the mountain station along which the conveying devices and transport assemblies, uncoupled from the haulage cable, are guided around the cable-deflecting pulleys with conveying wheels. Bypass rails are connected to the guide rails via diverters both in the valley station and in the mountain station.

The tow device further includes a lever arm (30) attached to the locking member for selectively rotating the locking member between a locked position, wherein the tow line is clamped between the first and second bearing members for propelling a person along a surface at a rate substantially equal to the rate of the tow line, and an unlocked position, wherein the tow line passes freely through the tow device.

Using the cables (18, 19) the device can also be moved on steep or swampy terrain in which it is no longer possible to continue to move by means of conventional drives.
