Reorientatable Support Patents (Class 108/12)
  • Patent number: 5169360
Abstract: An aerobic step device comprising a platform and a detachable leg assemblies for maintaining the platform at selected heights above a support surface. The platform has a skirt depending from the edges of a top, flat rectangular surface. Each leg assembly includes a pair of laterally extending arms, each of which have a protrusion which engages a selected one of at least a pair of slots that are provided on the inner surface of opposed sides of the skirt, the slots being longitudinally and vertically offset from each other. The height of the platform depends into which slot the protrusion is received into. Ribs and locking tabs depend from the underside of the top surface of the platform to engage respective channels and openings in the leg assemblies in order to stabilize the device in its operative positions.

  • Patent number: 5037084
Abstract: A step for performing exercises is circular to allow approaches from any direction equally. The step has a base member and a platform member, the platform member being selectively movable with respect to the base. The base has a plurality of grooves, and the platform has a plurality of tongues to be received in the grooves. There are grooves of different depths so that, by selecting the proper grooves for the tongues, the height of the platform can be changed. An elastic may hold the base and platform together while allowing adjustment.

  • Patent number: 4934718
Abstract: A multi-purpose hand truck having an elongated frame (1) possessing at one end two wheels (9) as well as toe plate (7) projecting at approximately 90.degree. from the frame, and at the other end possessing a handle arrangement (3); in a further refinement the truck can be converted into a utility table by means of a table top (10) and a support stand (5) which are attached to the frame (1). The table top (10) is on the one hand preferentially pivotably attached to the support stand (5) and on the other hand it pivots and is guided longitudinally in the side members (2) of the frame (1). For this purpose trunnions (14) projecting transversely from the table top (10) engage in grooves (15) on the inner surfaces of the side members (2). When the table top (10) is folded out, the toe plate (7) can be pivoted through the frame (1) into a horizontal position (7") so that its underside faces upwards.

  • Patent number: 4583467
Abstract: A convertible table is comprised of a central planar section and two end sections. The end sections are hingedly secured to the central planar section for rotation thereabout. Each end section has a pair of legs fixedly secured thereto. The legs are not capable of movement with respect to the end sections, but rotate with the end sections.Utilizing the aforementioned approach, a number of table designs are possible. For example, to facilitate folding, the pair of legs attached to one end section may have a greater distance therebetween than does the pair of legs attached to the other end section. In this manner, when the end sections are folded to a position perpendicular to the central planar section, a coffee table, or cocktail table or the like having a lower overall height is formed. The end sections support the central planar section and also form two sides of the table. The legs form the other two sides of the table and may also support the central planar section.
