Abstract: An adjustable display board system comprises a display board, first and second grippers, first and second racks, and a handle. The first and second grippers are coupled to the display and include a plurality of teeth. The first and second racks are mounted to a rigid structure and include a plurality of teeth generally greater than the number of teeth of the first and second grippers. The teeth of the first and second grippers mesh with the teeth of the first and second racks to maintain the vertical position of the display board. The handle is pushed to disengage the grippers from the racks and allow vertical motion of the display board. The adjustable display board system also comprises a display board, a linear actuator unit, and one or more pivot arms. The linear actuator unit includes a movable actuator rod and is coupled to the one or more pivot arms, which in turn is coupled to the display board. Motion of the actuator rod is converted to raising and lowering of the display board.

Abstract: A work bench. The work bench includes a table top, a plurality of legs connected to the table top, and a leg length adjustment mechanism positioned on at least one of the plurality of legs. The leg length adjustment mechanism includes a threaded rod configured to rotate about a rod axis, and a leg adjustment member moveable between a first position where the leg adjustment member threadedly engages the threaded rod and a second position where the leg adjustment member is removed from the threaded rod. Rotation of the threaded rod about the rod axis results in axial movement of the threaded rod when the leg adjustment member is in the first position. The threaded rod is freely moveable along the rod axis when the leg adjustment member is in the second position.

Abstract: Apparatus for adjusting the longitudinal and angular position of a work surface support leg is disclosed. The leg passes through a channel in a cap held via a spring and pin to a base. The leg's angular position is adjusted by rotating the cap, moving a tooth through a series of mating depressions, while the longitudinal position is adjusted by moving the leg with a series of notches that mate with a locking tooth in the cap. A knob interfaces with the cap via a rotary cam having high and low steps and a matching cam rider. The low step allows separation between the cap and base and the high step locks the cap to the base, thereby locking in the adjustment setting for the leg. The invention affords superior convenience when making angular and longitudinal leg adjustments, especially for people with physical handicaps.

Abstract: An adjustable lectern includes a base portion having a tubular upstanding base member and a tubular upstanding tower member that is mounted in a telescoping arrangement with respect to the base member. The base member and the tower member are each respectively formed as rigid tubes or channels by a single, unitary piece of material such as sheet metal. The lectern further includes a work platform that is positioned at an upper end of the tower portion. The work platform is both vertically and horizontally adjustable with respect to the base portion, so that both users who will be standing behind the lectern making a presentation and users who will be sitting behind the adjustable lectern in a wheelchair when making a presentation may be accommodated. Both the work platform and the base member include industry-standard rackmount structure for facilitating integration of electronic components.

Abstract: An elevating mechanism is mounted on a woodworking bench for adjusting a cutting depth of a milling cutter. In the elevating mechanism, two curved arms are pivotally turnably connected at proximal ends to and between two frame members. When it is desired to clamp or release the milling cutter via the two curved arms, a compression spring provided between two distal ends of the two curved arms allows the two curved arms to be pushed against or pulled from the milling cutter via an adjusting lever at reduced force.

The mounting table is vertically raised and rotated by the rotational driving mechanism. The rotational driving mechanism includes a driving shaft extending in a tangential direction of the mounting table and a moving body moving in the tangential direction via the driving shaft. A first cam follower is attached in perpendicular to the moving body and a second cam follower is extending horizontally from an outer circumferential surface of the mounting table so as to be in contact with the first cam follower. Also, a resilient member connecting the mounting table and the moving body brings the first cam follower and the second cam follower into elastic contact with each other.

  • Patent number: 6854402
Abstract: A shelf stores items and provides for organized and attractive display with ease of item access. Conforming to a defined physical environment or variable storage space optimally requires the shelf to provide for both vertical and horizontal adjustment. Here this is accomplished by a pair of legs that are telescopic (to reduce size) and can be locked at a height (vertical adjustment) by use of a pawl, pin, screw or other fastener known in the art. The shelf includes a planar surface that is comprised of a shelf portion, which is supported on each distal end by a leg extension. The leg extensions are mounted to the upper area of the legs. The leg extensions are received by the shelf portion, being movably mounted thereto. This allows for horizontal (width) adjustment. An end cover can be used to provide a flat surface that is consistent with the upper surface of the shelf portion.

Abstract: A height adjustable table, preferably with a circular tabletop which includes a vertically telescoping column to support the tabletop and with the column telescoping between extended and retracted positions. A base supports lower end of the column vertically upright. A locking mechanism is provided within the telescoping column adapted to lock the column against telescoping when the tabletop is rotated in one direction relative the base and to unlock the column when rotated in the other direction. When the table is unlocked, a user may adjust the height of the table either by manually lifting alone or assisted by a lifting mechanism to bias the tabletop upwardly and at least partially bear the weight of the tabletop. A stop mechanism is preferably provided to ensure the table is not extended so far as to disengage the tabletop structure. The base of the table is adapted to be engaged by a user's feet to prevent rotation relative to the tabletop when locking or unlocking.
