Attached Laterally Of Support Patents (Class 108/152)
  • Patent number: 4753405
Abstract: A support brace assembly for shelves such as shoe shelves has an integrated unitary structure comprising a truss with a lower leg having a support rib and a foot which rests stably against a wall. This leg is joined as by a gusset and a strut to an upper leg which has reinforcing ribs, with a front hook integral with the truss and for receiving a shelf rod so that the rod may be received within the hook bite with the bite gripping the rod. A rear resilient hook is integral with the upper leg and has a bite to receive another shelf rod flush against the bite. The upper leg has a foot which rests against the wall. The rear hook is spaced from the foot so that the passage between the tip of the rear hook and the foot is less than the thickness of the shelf rod received by the hook so that when the rod is moved through the passage, the rear hook expands to allow entry of the rod and snaps back to hold the rod in position. The foot of the upper leg has a wall anchor integral therewith.

Abstract: An improved portable tree seat for hunters and outdoorsmen comprising two symetrical and substantially triangular tree engaging support members whose frontal or vertical face protrusions engage the tree at four distinct locations, and whose rearward horizontal top edges support and interconnect with the seat which in conjunction with two lateral interconnecting members, provide separation and permanent attachment of two tree engaging support members. The entire seat device is held tightly against the tree and locked thereunto by a steel chain which can be adjusted to varying tree diameters by selection of the appropriate link. One end of the chain is permanently affixed to the upper exterior face of one tree engaging support members by means of a free wheeling steel eyelet bolt and with the chain encircling the tree, is then selectively secured to the opposing tree engaging support member's upper exterior face by means of a free wheeling swivel hook.

  • Patent number: 4597473
Abstract: The tree stand has a notch which receives a tree trunk and has a flexible steel band encircling and engaging the tree. The band is positioned at an angle extending upwardly and rearwardly from the platform. The band is supported by means at each side of the platform including front and rear legs pivoted on the platform and slideably interconnected. When the legs are raised from their storage position against the platform, they are automatically locked together when they reach their operative position. One leg carries a guide which receives the band. A cylindrical member fixed on the guide supports a plunger which is biased to engage holes in the band. A cam-type actuator bears against the cylindrical member and is moved relative to the plunger between a lock position (plunger engaging the band) and a retracted position (plunger withdrawn from the band). A lock screw can fix the actuator relative to the plunger to prevent accidental movement of the actuator to the released position.

  • Patent number: 4582165
Abstract: A pack frame and tree stand assembly is comprised of two major components. A back engaging support platform serves as the pack frame in the back pack mode and as the tree engaging support platform in the tree stand mode. A pack carrying seat is the second main component and is carried by spaced framework members which are pivotably attached to the back engaging support platform. In the back pack mode this second component forms a shelf upon which a pack can be placed. By being rotated through generally about 90.degree., the pack carrying seat becomes the seat portion of the tree stand. The stand is attachable to a tree by a tree encircling line which is carried by, and is securable to the frame of the seat of the tree stand.
