Patent number: 4535705Abstract: Many different so-called "wall systems" as are often used in offices and other locations employ perforate, vertically extending, spaced, parallel standards in supporting one or more objects through the use of hooks extending through perforations in the standards. Any such system can be improved by utilizing sloping surfaces on an object held by the standards and a wedging member associated with each sloped surface. When an object with such a surface is in place on a standard so that the hooks employed extend through openings in the standard the wedging member associated with the surface is moved so as to be wedged between the sloped surface with which it is associated and the standard so as to move the object generally outwardly from the standard in order to pull the hooks firmly in contact with the interior of the standard. This results in the object being held firmly relative to the standard employed.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 1983Date of Patent: August 20, 1985Assignee: Eldon Industries, Inc.Inventor: George Soulakis

Patent number: 4535704Abstract: In a shelving unit having a two-piece upright with a sloping slotted lower part and a vertical slotted upper part telescoping into the lower part, the slots in the upper part are recessed behind the upper end of the slotted portion of the lower part to allow room for shelf tabs projecting through the slots in the lower part near the upper end thereof. A shelf bracket may be mounted at the transition between the lower and upper parts of the support with its upper tab in a slot in the upper part and with one or more of its lower tabs projecting through slots in the lower part. The slots of the two parts are positioned relative to each other so that the lower tabs project through their slots in the lower part of the support and abut the recessed slotted surface of the upper part, which extends downwardly behind the slotted surface of the lower part. In this way a shelf spanning the transition is situated at the same angle as a shelf supported entirely on the upper part.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 1983Date of Patent: August 20, 1985Assignee: The Mead CorporationInventor: James M. Patent number: 4409907Abstract: The present invention provides a portable tree table that includes two sub-assemblies: a tree belt and bracket assembly, and a table assembly. In use, the tree belt is first tightened about a tree to dispose the bracket at the desired height and adjusted. Then the table assembly is mounted to the bracket. Further adjustments are then made, including extending against the tree and securing stabilizing braces. Disassembly calls for a reversal of these procedures. It is easy to bring in the table and leave the bracket attached to the tree for instances where the table is to be put back up again shortly. Thus there is provided a steady, level work surface easily and securely mounted at a desired height, with no harm to the tree.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 1981Date of Patent: October 18, 1983Assignee: Brell Mar Products, Inc.Inventor: Don S. Patent number: 4193648Abstract: A music box casing structure is disclosed, the configuration of which permits ease and convenience of assembly, that result being achieved by the proper combination of abutments and undercuts formed on the sidewalls and lid of the structure. Patent number: 4191110Abstract: A shelf construction includes a pair of vertically extending end supports mounted in spaced parallel relationship to a rear support surface and including a plurality of vertically spaced horizontally extending support rods extending between the end supports. Mounted to the support rods is a rod receiving integral shelf and bracket including a forwardly facing socket with a lower leg extending downwardly from the socket, an upper leg extending rearwardly from the socket, and a middle leg comprising the rear portion of the socket and extending vertically between the upper and lower legs. Both lower and upper legs extend rearwardly against a rear support surface to which the end supports are secured a distance such that the upper and lower legs force the socket into lockable engagement with the support rod. Integrally formed with the upper leg is a horizontally extending tray for holding objects on the integral shelf and bracket so formed.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 1979Date of Patent: March 4, 1980Inventor: Edward O. Patent number: 4181382Abstract: Releasably attached to the rod of a conventional towel rack by means of a pair of horizontally-spaced wedge-shaped undulating spring brackets is the top shelf of a double-shelf cabinet having end plates depending from the top shelf to a bottom shelf. Extending between the end plates near the forward upper corners thereof is an auxiliary or supplementary towel rod. The cabinet is attached to the rod of a conventional towel rack by lowering the brackets upon it between it and the wall to which the towel rack is attached, the wedge-shaped undulating form of the brackets causing them to snap into fixed recessed positions relatively to the towel rod and to be held therein by the wedging action. Pushing inward on the bottoms of the brackets disengages them from the towel rack whereupon the cabinet may be lifted off the towel rack.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 1978Date of Patent: January 1, 1980Inventor: Louis A.
