  • Patent number: 10238205
Abstract: A folding table and seating arrangement includes a pair of table tops, each of the table tops having a table top frame. A folding framework supports the table tops and facilitates folding the table tops between a first position and a second position, the folding framework defining a rotational axis with each of the table tops. A folding assist system offset forces during folding and includes a mechanical strut assembly attached to the folding framework and providing a biasing force. Cap elements have a receiving portion inserting into an orifice in the table top frame and aligned with the rotational axis to receive a tubular cross. The cap elements provide low friction and have tabs that clip into corresponding slots in the table top frame.

  • Patent number: 7448330
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus for a folding table assembly comprising a lifting assist center torsion bar assembly, a lift off caster assembly and a stability locking mechanism. A folding table assembly with a lifting assist mechanism provides a lifting assist force during a portion of the folding process of a foldable table from an unfolded use position to a folded storage position. A lift off caster assembly maintains an unfolded table assembly in a stationary position and prevents the unfolded table from wandering or deviating from its original location on the floor. There is also provided a stability locking mechanism that can set the folding table in a folded and stable semi-closed position.

  • Patent number: 6644221
Abstract: A folding sectional table assembly includes a pair of table sections, each of which includes a frame assembly and a table top. Each frame assembly includes inner and outer leg assemblies, and each leg assembly has an upper tubular member pivotably mounted at its ends relative to a pair of apron members secured to the underside of the table top, for providing pivoting movement of the leg assembly relative to the table top. A latch arrangement selectively maintains the table sections in the folded, storage position, and includes a latch member pivotably mounted to one of the table sections and a catch member stationarily mounted to the other of the table sections. A latch actuator is interconnected between the latch member and the apron members, for disengaging the latch member from the catch member when it is desired to move the table sections away from the folded, storage position.

  • Patent number: 5825909
Abstract: An image segmentation method for segmenting various regions of digital radiographic images first uses progressively smoothing techniques to generate smoothed images at multiple scales (resolutions). Next, texture measures are computed at each scale for each pixel in the smoothed image. Then a clustering algorithm is applied to the feature space spanned by the vector of texture measures. A segment spectrum, which is the number of clusters as a function of scale, is subsequently constructed to determine the most stable range of scales and the most stable number of regions into which the image is best segmented. Each pixel in the image is then classified into one of the detected regions according to its belonged cluster in the feature space. Region filling is then performed to eliminate small holes in each segmented region. Finally, a segmented map is generated to function as multivalued templates for any further image processing to be done on various segmented regions of the image.
