The support may comprise an elongated cavity configured to accept one or more portable electronic devices. The portable electronic devices may be held at various viewing angles relative to the passenger. In some embodiments, the passenger may be permitted to adjust the angle at which his or her portable electronic device is positioned.

Abstract: A portable beer pong table including a table having a plurality of coextensively shaped apertures formed therein, a plurality of flexible rings removably attached to the table and positioned about the apertures respectively, a plurality of rigid first support members attached to the table and spaced from the apertures, a plurality of rigid second support members attached to the first support members and extending downwardly from the table, a plurality of rigid third support members adjustably coupled to the second support members and disposed opposite to the first support members, and a plurality of anchoring sleeves positioned along a portion of the third support members and remaining spaced from the second support members respectively. In this manner, the second support members cooperate with the third support members to maintain the table at a substantially stable position.

Abstract: An article support device for attachment to an automobile steering wheel is provided for the purpose of supporting an open book, magazine, tablet computer or the like. The device comprises a supportive body, a shelf member, a shelf lip and a securing means. The shelf member is rectangular, having a height similar to the diameter of a steering wheel. A plurality of slots on the body provide for modular securement of a shelf member. A shelf lip is secured to the outer edge of said shelf member and extends upward to restrain movement of items placed thereupon. The device is secured by a pair of hooks that fit over the top of a steering wheel, or alternatively the hooks may be utilized as a support stand to support the device in an upright position on a flat surface.

Abstract: A roller shutter storage container includes a container body, a roller shutter accommodating portion, a pair of guide grooves, and a roller shutter. Each of the guide grooves extends linearly in an opening formed in the container body and is curved in the roller shutter accommodating portion. The roller shutter is configured by connecting a plurality of slats each having shafts formed at two ends of the slat with respect to the widthwise direction in a bendable manner. As the two shafts of each of the slats slide in the corresponding guide grooves, the roller shutter slides between an open position for opening the opening and a close position for closing the opening. Each one of the shafts is spaced from a vertical wall surface of the corresponding one of the guide grooves. A projection formed of soft material projects outward from each shaft of each slat in the widthwise direction and contacts the corresponding vertical wall surface in an elastically deformed state.

The apparatus comprises a plate with a flat recess and an insert which is removably mountable in the flat recess of the plate and is configured to receive an information medium which is viewable when the insert is mounted in the flat recess of the plate. A package tray is provided that is attachable to the vehicle in a first position generally vertically spaced from the battery housing, and a second position generally abutting and forward of the battery housing. The package tray includes a pair of rotatable posts and a net connecting the posts. The package tray further includes receptacles formed on the package tray for receiving the posts when the posts are rotated downward towards the package tray.

The recessed cavity is open on the side and the top and can be used for transporting items while not increasing the overall size or footprint of the surface maintenance machine.

Abstract: A concealed 180° hinge for the movable connection of two parts between a collapsed state and a fully opened-out state of the parts has at least two U-shaped pivoting brackets. The hinge, which has the highest possible strength and also allows the two parts to be moved in relation to one another without any risk of collision, includes rotary pins of the two pivoting brackets on the one hinge part that are arranged in a plane substantially parallel to the plane of the part, which can be connected to this one hinge part. The rotary pins of the two pivoting brackets on the second hinge part are disposed in a plane located substantially perpendicularly to the plane of the part, which can be connected to this second hinge part.

Abstract: Described are table stop assemblies having a mounting block having at least one receptacle, at least one stop coupled to the receptacle, and at least one arm knuckle. The arm knuckle includes a side, a first end, and a second end, wherein the side is pivotally coupled to the mounting block, the first end is pivotally coupled to a tray table, and the second end is configured to contact the stop when the tray table is in a deployed position. As examples, the position of the stop is adjustable relative to the receptacle, and the tray table in the deployed position includes a surface that forms an angle relative to a horizontal axis that is controlled by the position of the stop.

Abstract: A folding platform assembly for the top deck of motor vehicle carrier trucks. The platform features a grate, whereupon a person may safely and comfortably walk along the length of the truck. The platform also features a safety net system affixed to the grate to catch a person in the event of a slip, trip, or fall from the grate. The grate has an access panel for easy ingress and egress to the platform from a ladder or set of steps. When storing or transporting the platform, a folding mechanism pushes the platform into its closed, substantially-vertical position. This same mechanism pulls the platform into its open position when it is ready for use.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a work surface proximate to a seat in a vehicle. The apparatus comprises a base support connectable to the vehicle, a substantially planar member and a parallel linkage extending between the base support and the planar member for planar translational movement from a first position to a second position about an arcuate path defining a first plane. The first position is substantially proximate to the seat and the second position is above the seat and forward of the first position. The planar member is also pivotable about an axis parallel to the first plane away from the seat. The apparatus further comprises a support for selectably maintaining the planar member at a substantially horizontal orientation. The method comprises moving the planar member from the first position to the second position, rotating the planar member to the horizontal orientation and supporting the planar member with the support.

Abstract: A portable steering wheel mounted table provides a lighted writing surface and item storage in the cabin area of a vehicle. The table includes a housing having a first section pivotally coupled to a second section. A first surface of the first section and a first surface of the second section are coplanar forming a writing surface in an open position. The first surface of the first section and the first surface of the second section face each other in a closed position. A first mounting strap is coupled to the housing and configured for being coupled to a steering wheel. Support legs are coupled to the housing and have curved distal portions configured for resting on the steering wheel. Lights are coupled to the housing by a plurality of positionable arms.

Abstract: A table can be folded in the interior of a motor vehicle and comprises a table top arranged on a vehicle-mounted support so that the table top can be moved from a resting position, in which the table plane is oriented substantially vertically, into a usage position oriented substantially horizontally. The support extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and the table top is fastened to the support so the table top can be pivoted by a table top retainer from the vertical resting position into a horizontal position about a pivot axis in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The table top and/or the table top retainer can be locked in the usage position by a locking device when the table top is in the horizontal position and/or in the vertical position.

Abstract: An object holding table comprising a table top, a frame body, two rotating shaft sets and a foot stand set. The rotating shaft sets are used to movably attach the table top and the frame body to allow the table top to turn 90 degrees. The foot stand set has a first lateral foot stand and a second lateral foot stand both capable of overturning outwards and supporting the object holding table to stand; and when not in use, to withdraw and being stored at the inner side of the table top. By assembling the foregoing assemblies, the object holding table of the present invention is hence capable of holding a portable electronic device and turning 90 degrees to reach a convenient watching position.

Abstract: Mechanisms designed to facilitate movement of tray tables or other platforms are addressed. Internal flexible sleeves provide more constant pressure on linearly-moving shafts associated with the tables, reducing or cancelling possible lateral misalignments of the shafts. Outer cases maintain the flexible sleeves in position, and positive stopping features may be employed to prevent extension or retraction of the shafts beyond desired amounts.

Abstract: A trailer hitch-mounted table is disclosed herein. The table includes an L-shaped frame for attachment to the trailer hitch of a land vehicle. The L-shaped frame also carries a tabletop remote from the trailer hitch. A pair of support leg is affixed to the tabletop for supporting the tabletop, and one or more umbrellas, when the table is used.

Abstract: A portable table apparatus which can be releaseably attached to a vehicle is disclosed. The portable table assembly comprises a horizontal assembly having a tubular member and a second member, wherein the second member is slidingly and rotatably disposed within the tubular member, and a fixturing means capable of releaseably attaching the second member to the tubular member. The portable table assembly further comprises a tubular vertical assembly attached to the second member and a table that can be releaseably attached to the vertical assembly, wherein by rotating the second member within the tubular member the vertical assembly is rotated with respect to the horizontal assembly and wherein the top surface of the table can be placed in a gravitationally level orientation by rotating the second member within the first member. The portable table assembly further comprises a shield assembly that can be releaseably attached to the table.

Abstract: A table or similar structure is provided having an expandable surface area arrangement where the usable or working surface area is retractable into and out of a housing along a curvilinear path that includes both horizontal and vertical components and wherein weight compensating structure is provided to offset the impact of vertical movement of the surface area. The usable surface is formed from an array of adjacent panels connected by a backing web which allows them to lie flush together when the surface area is retracted for use and to separate as needed to follow the curvilinear path when retracted into the housing for storage. The extent of movement into and out of the housing is variable according to the amount of surface area required in a given instance. When implemented into a dining table, for example, vertical support legs for one end of the table can be attached to the end panel of the surface area which is first withdrawn from the housing.

Abstract: A workstation with position memory includes a stationary flat mounting, a plate translatably mounted relative to the stationary flat mounting and a locking system secured to the plate. The workstation also includes a fastener secured to the stationary flat mounting, a strap including a first end, an intermediate portion and a second end, the first end being attached to the fastener and the second end being free from any strain. The locking system has a first open position in which the locking system can slide along the intermediate portion and a second closed position in which the locking system is retained in a locked position along the intermediate portion. The invention has a direct application in the field of military vehicles.

At least one table top segment has a screen on one side. Two table top segments are pivotable or rotatable in relation to each other about at least two axes. Abstract: A work surface/storage system can be attached to a motor vehicle which has a passenger compartment with a driver seat, a passenger seat, a passenger restraint belt, and a dash panel in front of the passenger seat. A main body section of the system includes at least one flat surface for providing a writing support for a person in the driver seat, at least one storage bin, and a bottom surface for positioning on the passenger seat. A belt receptacle is located at a rearward end of the main body for capturing the passenger restraint belt so that tension in the passenger restraint belt loads the rearward end against the passenger seat. A front wing section extends forward and upward from the main body section to a distal end. The distal end includes an attachment tab. A bay is provided in the dash panel including a holder for capturing the attachment tab.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a platform for the transfer of a plurality of items from a base level on a transportation device, to a second location, the platform comprising: (a) a frame; (b) a base for supporting the plurality of items, the base attached to the frame; and (c) one or more members for engagement of the platform in both a deployed position and a stored position with the transportation device; wherein the deployed position is at a higher level on the transportation device than the base level of the transportation device. The platform may be removably or fixedly attached to the transportation device. In addition, there is disclosed a method for the transfer and placement of a plurality of items from a lower level of a transportation device, to a second location.

Abstract: An automotive seat has a seat back and a seat bottom that are movable between a seating configuration and a work desk configuration. When moving from the seating configuration to the work desk configuration, the seat bottom pivots forwardly into a generally vertical orientation and the seat back pivots downwardly into a generally horizontal orientation. The seat bottom supports an end of the seat back when the seat bottom and the seat back are in the work desk configuration. The back surface of the seat back faces upwardly to provide a work surface when the seat bottom and the seat back are in the work desk configuration. Sufficient space is provided beneath the seat back when in the work desk configuration to accommodate a person's legs underneath the seat back.

The steering wheel table includes a table member, at least two wheel grasping arms and a brace arm assembly. The table member has a length, a width, an underside and a front edge. The at least two wheel grasping arms are connected to the table member and extend beyond the front edge of the table member and are releasably engageable with at least a portion of the top section of the vehicle steering wheel. The brace arm assembly is pivotally connected to at least one of the underside and edge of the table member and releaseably engageable with the bottom section of the vehicle steering wheel.

A bi-fold table comprised of a table panels is horizontally stowed and supported on the upper surface of the base unit. Thus, in a stowed condition, one of the table panels is folded so as to be sandwiched between the other of the table panels and the upper surface of the base unit. The edge of the other table panel opposite to its hinged edge adjoining both table panels is pivotally connected to the base unit by means of a primary hinge. In use, the table panels may be rotated as a unit about the primary hinge so as to achieve an intermediate fold-out condition. While in such a position, the table will present itself half-sized so as to provide the associated aircraft seat occupant with minimal forward obstruction.

Abstract: A folding table and support frame assembly is disclosed. The table comprises two planar portions connected by a hinging member. One of the planar portions is coupled to a support frame such that the folded table can be moved into a stowed position within the support frame assembly. The planar portions comprise a proximal portion or inner member and a distal portion or outer member. The proximal portion and distal portion are connected to one another by the hinging member or middle member. The hinging member enables the rotation of the distal portion into a folded relationship upon the proximal portion. When the two planar portions are folded, they provide a smaller table surface in a half-open or partially extended position. When the two planar portions are opened along the hinging member, the planar portions and the hinging member provide a larger contiguous table in the fully extended position.
