Abstract: The present invention is directed to a workstation having a base including two spaced apart arcuate legs having a common first radius. A worksurface support assembly is supported on the base and includes two spaced apart arcuate supports. Each support has a common second radius that is equal to the common first radius of the legs. Elongate slots extend through each of the supports. Each of the legs has a central segment that is received in a respective one of the elongate slots in the supports. Each of the supports includes an arcuate member that is slidably fitted on a support track. A worksurface is secured to and supported by the arcuate members. A lift assembly is provided and is configured to move the worksurface support assembly in a generally horizontal direction with respect to the base to vertically adjust the worksurface between upper and lower elevational positions.

Abstract: A modular structure for furniture includes a tubular post formed by a pair of channel-bars disposed so that one faces the other and secured to each other by a base plate and a cross-bar. A series of longitudinal grooves, namely internal grooves made in the inner walls of the channel-bars, and external grooves made on the outer walls of the channel-bars. A support leg extends diagonally from an upper part of the post and is connected to the post by means of a connection member engaging one of the external grooves of the post. The cross-bar is formed by a “U”-shaped bar with an open side turned upwards, so as to form a channel closed at top by a cover element. The base plate and the cross-bar are connected to the post by means of connection pegs engaging the internal groove of the post. A bracket for supporting a working surface is fastened at bottom of the cross-bar by a clamp. A pair of counter-facing sides are joined to the post with a snap fit.

Abstract: A computer keyboard/mouse support apparatus including a keyboard support having three layers which are rigidly sandwiched together is disclosed. The top layer is for supporting a keyboard while the bottom layer is for attachment to a keyboard arm. The center layer has a surface area which is substantially less than that of the top and bottom layers so that it defines a gap in which left and right mouse extensions pivot between extended usable positions and retracted stored positions. In their extended usable positions, the front edges of the keyboard support and the mouse extensions are flush with each other and define an ergonomic curve. The top surface of each mouse extension also preferably frictionally engages the underside surface of the keyboard support so that the extensions are not easily moved by the user when moving a mouse supported on the surface of the extension.

Panels providing a fascia defining a covering on the frame are coupled to the panel by plug-in connectors. The panels may include “smart” elements or fascias providing writing or tack board surfaces, or an accessory element to which shelves or other accessories can be coupled. Heavier capacity shelves can be coupled directly to the posts of the frame. Electrical and/or data connections can be provided via a horizonal rail incorporated in the skin. The rails can include a plug-in module and wire management channels extending outwardly from the module. The wall system may incorporate a pocket door built on the same principle as the overall wall structure. Also disclosed are a pivot door structure and a patch plate for fitting a standard lockset or latchset to a glass door.

The system also uses opposed side frames between sections for partially defining the passageway.

One embodiment of the novel cable organizer includes a modesty panel which has an integral bead retention channel extending the length of the top edge and a bead retention channel extending the length of the bottom edge and mounting brackets engaged in the top bead retention. The modesty panel includes a slide lock assembly extending outwardly from the back side. A substantially U-shaped cable containment channel is slidingly engaged in the slide lock assembly and the bottom bead retention channel. Another embodiment includes a raceway having a bottom wall, a rear wall and opposed end walls, the end walls each have aligned and complementary openings for the introduction of electrical cables into the raceway.

Abstract: A table with cable trough adapted to be joined to one or more additional tables in generally end-to-end relation. The cable trough is movable between open and closed position at the rear of the table. An opening is provided in the table top such that when the trough is closed, cable receptacles are accessible through the opening for connecting equipment that is used on the table top. The rear comers of the table top are notched to provide space for a connector that will releasably retain adjacent tables in generally end-to-end relation.

Each slot extends for the length of each channel so that wires may be disposed in each channel through the slot. The second side of the flexible member may be pushed inwardly into either channel opening so that the wires may be laid into the channel through the slot.

Abstract: A housing which includes a cable take-up reel is mounted to the underside of a work surface for storing excess cords or cables employed to control an adjustable height table. In one embodiment, the housing is a motor control which integrally includes a toroidal transformer covered by a cylindrical body extending downwardly from the housing and which forms the drum of the take-up reel. A snap-fit flange extends over the end of the cylindrical body to hold cords in position once wrapped around the drum. A protective and decorative cover snap-fits over the motor control and take-up reel once the excess cord has been wrapped around the take-up reel for storage.

Abstract: A position sensor holder for a powered lift system includes a polymeric member having a mounting surface on one side for attachment to the housing of a lift system and an elongated socket for receiving a magnetically responsive sensor positioned on an opposite side for providing a control signal as a magnet on a movable element of the lift system approaches the sensor. In a preferred embodiment, the socket comprises a pair of upwardly extending resilient legs for snap-receiving the sensor and including an undercut for receiving a cover element which covers the sensor and wires extending along the elongated socket coupling the sensor to a control circuit for the lift system.

Abstract: A wire management device for routing wires and cables underneath a work surface includes a plurality of body members having arms extending therefrom, the distal ends of which are slidingly connected to a flexible skirt. The body members and arms are configured to support the skirt such that a free edge of the skirt is in close proximity with a bottom surface of the work surface. Cables or wires may be inserted into the device by deflecting the flexible skirt whereupon the cables or wires can be supported underneath the work surface on the arms and routed to any desired location. The device thus allows for convenient wire routing and is particularly effective in permitting reconfiguration of furniture components.

Abstract: A telecommunication, data including audio and visual data, and electrical station which can be permanently mounted within an aperture formed in a board room table includes a container having a perimeter flange which supports the station within the table. The container also has separate compartments for electrical plug-ins and data and telecommunication jacks. The upper face of the compartments are tilted toward the user for ease of attaching plugs and jacks. A lid pivots between a closed position flush and coplanar with the table surface and an open position fully rotated below the surface of the table so as to permit unrestricted access by the user to the interior of the station.

Abstract: A table construction includes a base having a pair of legs secured together by a transverse beam, and a tabletop pivoted to a top of the legs for movement between a horizontal use position and a vertical storage position. A pair of support arms are pivoted to the top of the legs for selectively holding the tabletop in the horizontal use position. The support arms are spring-biased and pivoted at an angle so that they counterbalance a weight of the tabletop during its pivotal movement. Ganging connectors on opposite ends of the tabletop automatically interconnect adjacent tables upon pushing adjacent tables together. The legs each include first and second castings that bolt together and that are arranged to matably nest when tables are moved together for storage. A utility raceway structure attached to the base includes a frame that defines upper and lower chambers and further includes upper and lower lockable doors providing separate access to the upper and lower chambers, respectively.
