The portions may include one or more interlocking and/or engaging features that may be used to help secure the portions in the use position and/or the nested positions. If desired, the first and second portions may be sized and configured to be independently used as pallets.

Abstract: A transport pallet is provided with a chassis including feet on its underside from providing space for lifting using a fork lift truck or the like. The chassis is also provided with receptacles in the chassis for corner posts erectable at the corners of the chassis. The corner posts may also be provided with cross-members for increased stability. When not in use the corner posts and cross-members can be stowed in channels in the chassis, with the channels, posts and cross-members being color coded for ease of identification. The chassis can also be provided with straps for securing of the load.

Abstract: A reinforced plastic pallet includes a modular platform having top and bottom major walls which respectively have left and right stacked and held segments confronting each other. The stacked and held segments respectively have depression and supported regions. A spacer extends downwardly from each of the supported regions to have a base region confronting the corresponding depression region. A hollow strut extends upwardly from the base region through the corresponding depression region, and has an open end joining with the corresponding depression region. With the hollow struts, the structural strength of the spacers can be increased so as to prevent deformation thereof when the plastic pallet is subjected to a heavy load.

Abstract: A pallet made according to this invention provides a one-piece plastic pallet with integrated full window-frame runners for improved safety, nesting and stackability. The pallet includes a plurality of recessed portions that form angled leg portions below the lower surface of the deck. The pallet also includes integrated full window-framed runners in order to accommodate four-way entry. Each window-framed runner includes an angled leg portion having about the same draft angle as the opposing sidewall of the recessed portion. The deck also includes a plurality of channels sized to receive a window-framed runner of a second pallet. Each recessed portion also includes a stop to arrest the downward travel of the leg portion of the second pallet and allow for the nested second pallet to be easily removed from the first pallet.

Abstract: A pallet according to one embodiment includes a deck and a plurality of columns extending downward from the deck. In order to increase the stability of the pallet on a fork, at least one alignment feature protrudes downward from the deck between the pair of columns. The alignment feature extends downwardly substantially less than the columns, such that the alignment feature does not contact the floor and does not significantly increase the weight of the pallet. In another feature, preformed foam inserts are inserted into the cavities of the columns and/or the alignment features.

When used on a ship, the invention provides for the stowing and unstowing of loads quickly and efficiently, to automatically secure such payloads for sea and to achieve high stowage density, while retaining the capability to select and retrieve any ordered payload, move it to and load it on elevator trays under computer control.

The dividers are stackable and nestable with one another and with the pallet, and include a retaining wall to prevent movement of products off of an upper supporting surface thereof. The divider may be molded of a high-density, polymeric material to form a strong, rigid and durable divider which may be reused. As the dividers are nestable within one another and a pallet with which they are used, reshipping of multiple dividers for reuse is simplified.

In the collapsed position, the upper goods-supporting platform, leaf and legs lay flat against the horizontal lower platform. The footprint of the collapsed apparatus is no greater than the footprint of the lower goods-supporting platform. In the erected position, the substantially vertical legs support the upper platform in a horizontal position above the lower platform, and the leaf is pivoted from the upper platform into a fixed position over the lower platform. The extended leaf is supported by a pair of deployable legs. A locking mechanism is used to lock the apparatus in the erected position. Goods may be loaded onto the upper and lower platforms of the erected pallet.

Each deck comprises a thermoplastic sheet formed with ridges and channels on one side, corresponding to features necessarily defined on the opposite side. Each insert includes a recess for receiving an anti-skid plug.
