Consequently, the cost for manufacturing the pallet can be reduced. In addition, when one base member is damaged or missing, the damaged or missing base member can be replaced by a new base member. Therefore, the pallet can be used for more times, allowing the cost reduction in manufactory. Furthermore, the base members and the connecting bars are connected with each other to form the pallet frame which is rigid and has high structural strength, such that the pallet frame would not deform and is safe when used for handling and transporting materials.

    Abstract: A pallet of the load-and-roll type having a frame constructed to carry sheet steel of varying widths, being light weight, stackable and nestable for unloaded return shipment. The pallet defines a front or roller end, a back or lift end, two sides and a top surface. The pallet includes frame members and peripheral arms and side rail members. A vertical roller is provided at each corner of the pallet to assist in moving the pallet into and out of lading carrying container.

    Abstract: A method for storing and/or transporting outboard marine motors utilizes a rack having a rigid, substantially planar, horizontal base with parallel horizontal channels for insertion of fork lift tines. The base supports a pair of upright opposing frames, each frame in turn supporting a respective motor mounting beam. Preferably the frames and base are made of metal, while the motor mounting beams comprise a plywood plank with a metal sheath. At least two outboard motors can be mounted to each beam. Then a forklift is used to lift a fully loaded rack and load it onto a trailer or other carrier vehicle. A multiplicity of loaded racks are transported to a shipping destination. At the shipping destination, the outboard motors are removed from the racks. The empty racks are then returned to the point of origin.

A plurality of vertical plastic members (2) are arranged on and across the horizontal members at right angles and individually have a plurality of fitting block parts on the bottom surface of a longitudinal part. The block parts are fitted into the fitting holes of the horizontal members (1), thus assembling the two types of members into a pallet without using any nails, screws, or rivets or the crosses. The vertical members individually have a pipe insert hole (7) at a position around each of the block parts, thus allowing the pallet to be selectively formed as a many-storied structure.
