Patent number: 11697523Abstract: A modular pallet formed from a plurality of frame members and a plurality of deck members. The deck members extend between the frame members to define an upper deck surface and optionally a lower deck surface of the pallet. A plurality of spaced-apart channels are formed in at least an upper surface of the frame members to receive the deck members. In some embodiments the pallet may be configured as a stringer pallet and in other embodiments the pallet may be configured as a block pallet. In some embodiments the frame members are unitary stringers. In other embodiments the frame members are modular structures each comprising a block pallet subassembly and a deck support panel. The number, size, orientation and spacing of the channels formed in the frame members and the corresponding arrangement of the deck members may vary in different embodiments of the pallet. Once assembled, the frame members and deck members may be integrally connected, such as by heat welding.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2020Date of Patent: July 11, 2023Inventor: William Stuart Robinson

Patent number: 8555787Abstract: A shuttle pallet for a high rack storage facility has three longitudinal supports extending parallel to each other. Load bearing bridges orthogonally extend relative to the longitudinal supports. The longitudinal supports and the load bearing bridges are connected to one another in an articulated fashion. The longitudinal supports are made of a wear-resistant and bending-resistant semi-finished product and are form-fittingly and exchangeably connected to the load bearing bridges. The longitudinal supports have in cross-section an area with a circular ring-shaped cross-section. The load bearing bridges have legs. Snap-on-connectors with a circular segment-shaped cross-section are formed on the legs. The longitudinal supports are supported with the circular ring-shaped cross-section rotatably about an axis of rotation and exchangeably in the snap-on connectors, respectively. The axis of rotation extends in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the longitudinal supports.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2008Date of Patent: October 15, 2013Assignee: CABKA GmbHInventor: Dietrich Haaf

Publication number: 20130247798Abstract: The plastic pallet structure includes a supporting base and loading plates. The supporting base includes first bases and second bases. Each first base includes a first base body, first opening clamping portions and first arch bridge portions. The first opening clamping portions and the first arch bridge portions are respectively disposed on two first long side edges of the first base body. Each second base includes a second base body, second opening clamping portions and second arch bridge portions. The second opening clamping portions and the second arch bridge portions are disposed on a second long side edge of the second base body. When the loading plates load goods, forks of a forklift are inserted in to the second bases, so that the forks of the forklift are abutted against the second arch bridge portions without contacting with the loading plates to lift the goods up.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 28, 2013Publication date: September 26, 2013Applicant: CAMRY PACKING INDUSTRIAL LIMITEDInventor: Bo-Xin JIAN

Patent number: 8113129Abstract: Pallet systems are described that can be formed of corrugated paperboard without the necessity of any attachment materials such adhesives, staples, or the like. Individual stringers of a pallet matrix are interwoven together, with stringer notches interlocking with notches of crossing stringers from both above and below any one stringer. Systems can be easily and quickly assembled and, should the need arise, can be quickly repaired, for instance by replacement of one or more individual runners. Systems can also exhibit extremely high strength, and can withstand greater than about 20,000 pounds of static compression at less than about ? inch deflection.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2009Date of Patent: February 14, 2012Assignee: Clemson University Research FoundationInventors: Rupert Andrew Hurley, Judson T. Lattice structure assembly having members with overlapping end sections connected by connection rods
Patent number: 7665270Abstract: A lattice structure includes a plurality of members and a plurality of connection rods. The plurality of members may be individually oriented to form the lattice structure. Each of the plurality of members may include at least one of (i) an end section having a sidewall and a platform that define an end gap, or (ii) a mid-section having two sidewalls and a platform that define a mid-gap. Each member of the lattice structure may be connected to at least one other member, so that the lattice structure includes a plurality of connections between individual members in the plurality of members. Furthermore, each of at least some of the plurality of connections is formed by one of (i) an end section of a first member of that connection overlapping an end section of a second member of that connection; or (ii) an end section of the first member of that connection overlapping with a mid-section of the second member of that connection.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2007Date of Patent: February 23, 2010Assignee: LatticeStix, Inc.Inventor: John Moffly -

Patent number: 6413349Abstract: A method of manufacturing furniture or sculpture by cutting plies from a sheet material, laminating the plies into a beam element, and removing excess portions of the plies. Bars of similar diameters and lengths are cut. The beam elements are interconnected with other beam elements. The bars are inserted into some of the slots, grooves, cut-outs and tabulated apertures in beam elements. By orienting some of the beam elements or some of the bars to be in collinear alignment to a load acting upon the furniture, and by orienting some of the beam elements such that some of the individual plies are disposed with an edge facing forward, a structural object can be created.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2000Date of Patent: July 2, 2002Inventor: Philip C.
