Patent number: 11930927Abstract: A drawer slide is arranged for guiding a drawer (2, 4, 6) in an essentially linear movement as the drawer (2, 4, 6) is pulled out from a cabinet (8) to a static extended position (S). The drawer slide comprises at least one drawer biasing member arranged to bias the drawer (2) in a direction towards the cabinet (8) upon pulling the drawer (2, 4, 6) further away from the cabinet (8) beyond the static extended position (S) to a biased non-static extended position (B).Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2019Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: IKEA Supply AGInventor: Benny Andersson

Publication number: 20140102337Abstract: The present invention describes a beach table assembly that provides securement of the table into the sand. The table has a single leg with a removable threaded attachment that is configured for insertion into the distal end of the leg and is adapted for securement into the beach sand. The table surface has hinges that enable rotation of table ends for the opening and closing of the planar sides of the table, wherein the table sides are supported by arms located underneath the table surface and are locked into place by locking pins on the table leg. The table further has pockets for the storage of suntan lotion, magazines, books, etc., and sunken upper surfaces adapted for the holding of beverages.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 29, 2013Publication date: April 17, 2014Inventors: Carolyn Ralph, James Ralph

Patent number: 7013813Abstract: An adjustable work surface arrangement has a primary work surface, a secondary work surface, a link system, a link brake mechanism arranged to selectably prevent or permit rotation of the first end of the link system, a tilt mechanism mechanically connecting the primary work surface and the secondary work surface and a tilt brake mechanism to selectably prevent or permit tilting of the secondary work surface relative the second end. The link system is pivotably attached at a first end to the primary work surface and at a second end to the secondary work surface, to permit the secondary work surface to be displaced relative the primary work surface. The tilt mechanism connects the primary work surface and the secondary work surface, so that when the first end of the link system is pivoted about a first axis, an angular position of the secondary work surface with respect to the primary work surface is kept substantially constant.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2003Date of Patent: March 21, 2006Assignee: Baral Holdings Corp.Inventors: Jose M. Publication number: 20020170470Abstract: The present invention is a foldable table structure, which is comprised of a fore-board, a backboard and two connection rods. Wherein, two symmetrical concave troughs are arranged at the connection side of the fore-board and the interior of the concave troughs each has a folding plane and an unfolding plane. Corresponding to two concave troughs of the fore-board, two concave troughs are arranged at the connection side of the backboard and each interior of the concave troughs also has a folding plane and an unfolding plane. The connection rod has a fore-end and a back-end. The fore-end is pivotally connected inside the interior of the concave trough of the fore-board and the back-end is pivotally connected inside the interior of the concave trough of the backboard.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2001Publication date: November 21, 2002Applicant: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventor: Chung-Hsiung Cheng

Patent number: 5375514Abstract: A mechanism for dual-height tables, counters, or the like, in which the top lifts and pivots upward and outward on pairs of links attached to the top and to link housings attached to the table or counter base. Each pair of links comprises a pivot link and a locking link. The pivot link has holes at each end which ride on pins or the like attached to a bracket on the top and the pivot link housing on the bottom. The locking link is similarly arranged at the top, with a hole for a pin attached to a bracket. The bottom end of the locking link has an elongated slot, through which a pin is inserted to fasten the locking link to the locking link housing. When the top is in the lowered position, the pin is in the end of the slot closest to the end of the locking link. As the top is raised, both links pivot on the pins in the link housings. When the top has reached its most-forward pivot position, the locking link rests on a forward stop.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1993Date of Patent: December 27, 1994Inventor: Herbert I. Dann, Jr.

Patent number: 4637321Abstract: The known built-in ironing boards are disposed on a pull-out which is movably mounted in ways so it can be swung via parallelogram guide arm pairs from a lower position at rest into an upper working position. When ironing on such an ironing board, the pull-out must be pulled out first, whereupon the ironing board must be brought into the working position and locked therein. To facilitate handling, there is now provided a naturally flexible member in the form of a flexible connector such as a wire rope which is effective only when the pull-out is extended, in which position it connects the ways, or a part fixed thereto, to the ironing board. Shortly before the end of the pull-out motion of the pull-out, the ironing board is retained by the wire rope so that the parallelogram guide arm pair pivots upwardly, bringing the ironing board into its working position without requiring additional manipulations to accomplish this.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 1985Date of Patent: January 20, 1987Assignee: Hafele KGInventors: Georg Hasler, Rudiger Walz

Patent number: 4384532Abstract: A table extension suitable for use by a person confined to a wheelchair which is mountable beneath an existing table, and also a table in combination with such a table extension. The Table extension includes a pair of opposed spaced side frame members forming a housing, means for securing the housing to the underside of a table top, a first planar member, support means in each side frame member for slidably supporting the first planar member, a second planar member disposed above and substantially parallel to the first planar member, and locking hinge means connecting the planar members and providing for movement of the planar members from a collapsed position within the housing to an extended position wherein the second planar member is raised to a position substantially at the same level as the table top.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 1980Date of Patent: May 24, 1983Inventor: Arthur B.
