  • Patent number: 7975625
Abstract: A table may include a table top and at least one leg assembly. The table top may include a first table top section and a second table top section. The table top sections may be movable between a first position in which the table top sections are generally aligned and a second position in which the table top sections are at an angle. The leg assembly may be movable between an extended position and a collapsed position relative to the table top. The leg assembly may include a first support structure and a second support structure. The support structures may be movable between a generally aligned position and an angled position when the leg assembly is in the extended position. Moving the support structures to the angled position may help retain the leg assembly in the extended position. Moving the table top sections to the second position may help retain the support structures in the angled position and thus further help retain the leg assembly in the extended position.

  • Patent number: 7971898
Abstract: A multiple link, self-jacking mobile work cart includes the main body defining upper and lower portions supported by the plurality of rotating wheels. A multiple link, self-jacking mechanism is provided in connection with two laterally deployable work tables which can serve as infeed/outfeed tables for a power tool or the like supported by the main body of the cart. The multiple link mechanism includes an actuator arm, a linkage arm, a control arm and moveable support legs all pivotally connected to one another such that when the work tables are deployed, substantial weight placed on the tables is transferred to the support legs, rather than the wheels which support the main body.

  • Patent number: 7481502
Abstract: Front decorative panel can be moved from its storage position directly in front of the desk into a deployed, horizontal work space position near or at the height of the desk's top. When deployed the panel provides additional workspace arranged to run in parallel with the front of the desk or perpendicular to the desk top as a long extension. At least one support member that can be moved into position beneath the front panel after horizontal deployment to keep the front panel in its upright, horizontal position. Control hardware enables the front panel to be physically manipulated into deployed or storage positions by a user. A safety mechanism associated with the control hardware can restrict the speed or movement of the front panel. The front panel can be used by meeting collaborators when deployed and enable the maintenance of open office space when the front panel is stored.

  • Patent number: 7140305
Abstract: A folding expandable table having a composite pedestal. In the preferred embodiments of this folding table, retractable table legs are integrated within each member of the composite pedestal assembly, which serves to both store such legs and support table top leafs; and, as the table is unfolded, supports the table top with up to four leafs. The folding table can be partially or completed unfolded, to form three distinct configurations with one, two or four leafs.

  • Patent number: 6763769
Abstract: A drop-leaf table comprises a center leaf and two drop leaves, which are articulated to the center leaf by a hinge and mounted for pivoting into a dropped position and a position that is directed upwards beyond the center leaf. The table further comprises a table frame, which has a basic body fixed to the center leaf with supporting arms pivot-mounted therein, which are mounted for pivoting into a swung-in first position of support of the center leaf and a swung-out second position of support of a drop leaf. The supporting arms are provided with table-legs.

  • Patent number: 5375837
Abstract: Table tennis apparatus is disclosed which incorporates a pair of tabletop panel assemblies each of which comprises a pair of subpanels which fold together into a light and compact unit for storage or shipping. The subpanels include support structures which carry a planar layer formed of a flexible material which provides the playing surface. The planar layer bridges across a folding butt joint which separates the subpanels without creating any objectionable undulations or seam along the butt joint when the panels are unfolded into the playing configuration. The apparatus is adapted for converting to a single player configuration in which one of the tabletop panel assemblies is mounted upright to serve as a backstop along a side of the remaining horizontally positioned panel assembly. The components are releasably locked in the different configurations by splines which interfit into keyway recesses formed in the perimeters of the subpanels.

  • Patent number: 4942829
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gateleg table capable of serving as a dining room or conference table. When the table is completely extended to its fully opened position, it can sit up to twelve individuals (four individuals on each side and two individuals at each end). Each respective side of the base table legs contain stored support members which pivot horizontally to support a respective section of the table. The table has two drop-leaf members (one at each end), as well as two center surface members, and will fold to a closed position in an accordion-like fashion. In its fully closed position, the table has three top members which extend in substantially the same horizontal plane and which will facilitate placement of a removal top surface on the table.

  • Patent number: 4242967
Abstract: A rectangular body portion is hinged along its end edge by first hinges to the bottom of a pull-out table end leaf and is movable from a position parallel with the leaf to a position normal to the leaf. A pair of U-shaped support legs which serve as slides for connecting the end leaf to an extension table are hinged to opposite side edges of the body portion and are separately pivotal from a common plane parallel with the body portion to positions at acute angles with the body portion and have latches thereon for interlocking engagement with latch plates to hold the U-shaped support legs in position to support the table leaf as a separate assembly. A portion of the top of the table end leaf is hinged to pivot upward and be locked in the raised position by a bracket to form the back of a child's bench.
