Abstract: A covering mechanism for covering an area in which a movable table, etc. of, for example, semiconductor assembling machines using a flexible sheet cover that has elasticity. One end of the cover is fastened to a take-up shaft and the other end to a movable member that moves over the movable table, etc. in the direction perpendicular to the take-up shaft. The cover wrapped around the take-up shaft is stretched out when the movable member is moved away from the take-up shaft, thus covering the table. When the movable member is moved towards the take-up shaft, the cover, with the elasticity, is back to be wrapped around the take-up shaft. By arranging a plurality of take-up shafts at right angles, the covers can stretch in the directions perpendicular to each other, thus covering a wider area in which an X-Y table is moved around.

Abstract: A cooktop cover system and apparatus having at least one cooktop cover recessed within a surrounding framework to provide a flat surface when a cooking surface positioned under the cover is not in use. The cover comprises a generally flat plate-like member with a plurality of support legs attached to the plate-like member and extending downwardly therefrom to detachably engage a rigid planar member positioned under the plate-like member. At least one of the support legs is disposed inwardly from an adjacent outer edge of the plate-like member to provide a lever arm so that downward force applied between the inwardly disposed support leg and the adjacent outer edge of the plate-like member pivots the cooktop cover and raises the opposite edge to allow removal of the cover.

The tray assembly includes at least one track and a mechanism for mounting the at least one track to the shelf so that the track is fixed longitudinally with respect to the shelf. The tray assembly also includes a tray member for carrying items thereon which is moveably secured to the track and is moveable in a lateral direction with respect to the track and the shelf. The tray member is releasably lockable in at least two positions with respect to the track. The tray assembly is both convenient to use and provides an aesthetically pleasing and eye-catching appearance to a consumer.

Abstract: A disposal system comprising a temporary, disposal work surface covering of substantially flat, flexible sheet material, such as extruded plastic or the like, having cinch means incorporated therein. While the preferred embodiment of the present invention is exemplified as a disposable tablecloth, the invention is useful in a variety of applications, including lawn care, garbage collection, and any use which requires traditional garbage bags, but at a significant decrease in disposal effort and expense. An alternative embodiment of the invention teaches a tablecloth or the like having a upwardly extended, peripherally surrounding, raised edge areas for preventing liquids from spilling onto the users. Likewise, incorporated therein is a cinch strap system for enveloping the contained refuse.

Abstract: A generally flat add-on desk surface is provided with hooks and stop members so that the work surface can be attached to a tablet on a tablet arm chair. Hooks and fixed stop members engage side edges of the tablet to hold the added surface in position and a retractable stop member permits simple attachment and detachment. The surface is significantly larger than the surface of the original tablet and can be added for special purposes such as examinations and the like.

Abstract: A rectangular planar plastic member unfolds by a piano hinge along one of its edge sides from a trapezoidal planar plastic member in order to form a coplanar flat top surface suitable for ironing. The bottom side of the rectangular planar member presents two elongate bores. The bores are preferably spaced parallel to each other and to the flat top surface, and are also aligned transversely to that edge side of the rectangular planar member which is opposite the piano hinge. The bores have open ends that are directionally disposed toward the piano hinge. Two generally "U"-shaped elongate tubular brace members both slide and rotate within the bores. The brace members rotate from storage positions folded against the bottom side of the rectangular planar member to deployed positions where the plane of each "U" is perpendicular to the planar member.

Abstract: An ironing table covers, particularly a one-size adjustable cover adaptable to different sizes of boards by use of pressure sensitive tapes and by use of a pull string to permit the cover to be easily adjusted and tucked-in. The cover includes a nose portion which can be folded back to extend under the ironing board so that the pressure tapes of the nose portion can be engaged with other portions of the cover so as to secure the cover to the board.

Abstract: It is necesary to supply electronic components to a precise location in a transfer station 26, the components being supplied in a plurality of magazines 22 e.g. for a component placement machine. Desirably the magazines may be readily exchanged without significant time being taken in setting up the magazine position accurately. Suitably the magazines are mounted on a turntable 24 each magazine having a location mark 362 positioned accurately relative to a transfer position 286. Drive structure 264 moves the turntable 24 to present the transfer position 286 of the magazine 22 at the transfer station 26 and sensing structure 358 senses the mark 362 when the supply structure 18 is in a characterizing mode. Information supplied by the sensing structure 358 determines when the transfer position 286 is at a precise location of the transfer station 26.

Abstract: A portable game table arm cushion for providing a comfortable support for a user's forearms, the cushion being removably attachable to the forward edge of a desk or table by means of insertable clips, said cushion being conveniently portable by means of being foldable into convenient lengths so as to fit into a purse or handbag. The cushion may be economically produced in any number of unitary or variable length segments so as to make up a composite cushion of any desired overall total length.

Abstract: A subsidiary bench top apparatus for a work bench or the like comprises a standing section secured to laterally extended brackets at opposing distal ends, four support members joined respectively to the brackets at one end and connected in pairs at the opposing distal end by medially disposed bolt and nut assemblies for fastening onto a work bench with lateral variation of the standing section respective of the work bench.

Abstract: A sheet plastic cover for a picnic table has a pair of channel-shaped side edges so that the cover can be slid onto the table and attached by an adhesive or nails to the table. The cover is useful for either protecting the table surface or changing the appearance of the table. A similar cover is mounted on the seat of the picnic table.

Abstract: A wheelchair work tray multipivotal mounting assembly may be easily mounted and removed from a wheelchair and is adapted to receive a multipivotal mount for use by wheelchair occupants. The mounting assembly is adapted for mounting over one arm of a wheelchair and includes a pair of plates adapted for sliding over a wheelchair arm. Once positioned on the arm, the mounting assembly may be locked into place by a locking assembly including a lever operated cam. The cam secures the mounting assembly to the wheelchair arm and resists displacement or rotation in any direction. A receiver accepts a multipivotal mount supporting a tray and enables vertical adjustment and rotation of the multipivotal mount about a vertical axis. The mounting assembly may be removed by rotating the lever counterclockwise and swinging the locking assembly outward.

Abstract: A portable work bench (10) has two wooden bench top parts (22, 23) mounted on a collapsible support frame (14). One bench top part (22) has an opening (26) normally covered by a wooden cover plate (30). To convert the bench into a power tool bench, the cover plate is replaced by an insert plate (36) having a power tool (such as a circular saw) bolted beneath it. The cutting element of the power tool projects through an opening in the insert plate to cut a work piece supported on the bench top.

Abstract: A cover, of see-through glass or plastic is provided of a size and configuration to fit over the top of a table top, and with sides extending down and adjacent the sides of the table top. An insert, one of a plurality of inserts, having opposed surfaces each of a different color, finish, decoration or design, is formed of a size and configuration to be disposed between the cover and the table top and so as to expose one of its surfaces. The cover is readily removable and replaceable and thus the insert, and/or its exposed surface, can be easily changed to provide any one of a plurality of aesthetic appearances for the table top.An alternative embodiment forms the table top as an open picture frame with a plurality of braces spanning the opening and connected to adjacent or opposite sides of the frame and formed to support within the frame opening a backing upon which an insert (also with its opposite sides of different colors, finish, decoration, or design) and a cover are supported.

An auxiliary board having a reversible sub-frame fitting within the frame of the basic table permits the playing of additional games.

Abstract: A combined table and bench assembly for indoor and outdoor use, capable of being assembled and disassembled without tools. The component parts of the assembly fit together solely with interlocking notches and/or protrusions. The assembly is sturdy and will withstand rugged use. Yet, it is light enough to be easily transported. The parts of the assembly may be conveniently stored and transported in a compact wheeled carrier.

The covering includes an associated pad whereupon positioning over an ironing board yields a smooth and continuous ironing surface. The pad is securable by means of a plurality of transverse belts securable by means of Velcro.RTM.-type fasteners. The various corner portions of the ironing board pad may optionally also be securable by Velcro.RTM. connectors. Gradation lines are formed on both longitudinal side portions of the ironing board cover and at end portions thereof for indication of dimensions which may be accommodated by the ironing board cover of the instant invention.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a pallet extender for mounting at an end of an aircraft cargo pallet comprising, a first elongate load support panel, hinges on one elongate edge of the panel to mount the panel along an end of a pallet to pivot about an axis extending along said edge of a panel. A second elongate panel, extends along the other elongate edge of the first panel and is connected thereto by a hinge to allow the second panel to pivot with respect to the first panel. Locking means act between the first and second panels to lock the second panel in any one of a plurality of different attitudes with respect to the first panel. Support structures are provided at both ends of said one panel extending to one side of the panel, and brace means connect the support structures to the pallet to support the panels at a required attitude with respect to the pallet.

Abstract: A wind proof table cover is provided and consists of a sheet of material that is secured to a table top by a drawstring so that a person will not be bothered by wind blowing the cover when used outdoors. In a modification the cover can be used for both a square and circular table.

Abstract: There is disclosed a circular table suitable for use as a dining table or the like, including a round, rotatably mounted table top supported by four outwardly extending feet and a standard which is provided with removably attachable arms to be secured to the top portion thereof, which arms extend beyond the periphery of the table top to support a plurality of leaves in the form of sectors of an annulus, such leaves being removably securable at the ends of the arms whereby the rotatable circular table top can be extended to a larger circular area with the outer annular surface thereof flush with the table top and non-rotatable. The entire table top and extensions are solely supported from the central standard with no other vertical legs for support. The rotatable table top is provided with means for locking it in position if desired.

Abstract: An adjustable desk-top assembly is disclosed having upper, lower, and inner side panels, the upper and lower panels being spaced apart for forming a compartmentalized enclosure. The desk-top has an adjustable work surface capable of assuming a slope and a centralized cut-out portion therein for extending in a semi-circle around the user of the desk. The inner or door panels, are releasably secured and can be removed for accommodating any of a number of suitable components. The slope imparted to the work surface can be adjusted to an optimum level for the particular task and, by imparting greater slope and covering the components therein, a security measure is also provided.

Abstract: An ironing support or board structure has two parallel ironing surfaces formed of boards connected by spacer elements of small height. One of the ironing surfaces is formed by a single board, referred to as the main board. The other ironing surfaces are formed by two separate accessory boards which overhang or overlap the main board. The spacer elements which connect the accessory boards to the main board are associated with the main board at opposite ends of the main board. This results in free parts or free ends of each accessory board extending towards the other accessory board.

Abstract: A drafting board having a planar top surface with a peripheral depression. A thin, resilient, cover sheet is removably secured to the top surface by a pressure-sensitive adhesive and extends into the peripheral depression where it is retained by a peripheral retaining rim extending about the panel below the plane of the working surface. The parts are structurally related so that the cover sheet slopes gradually downwardly into the depression without lifting or bulging along the outer limits of the panel's top surface. Replacement of the cover sheet is achieved by removing the retaining rim, stripping away the old cover sheet, adhesively securing a replacement cover sheet, and securing its border within the depression by re-mounting the retaining rim.

Abstract: A table cover connectable to edges of a table top comprising: a top cover; a skirt adapted to overhang the periphery of the tabletop; and retainer members adapted to grippingly engage the edge of the table top. The retainer members have first surfaces connectable to the top cover and second surfaces adapted to engage the skirt when the skirt is placed around the edge of the table. Fastener strips on the second surfaces of the retainer members and on the skirt are positioned such that the fastener strips cooperate to support the skirt to extend around the periphery of the table top and to cover a portion of the top cover.

Abstract: A removable cover for an outdoor table or a bench, each of which would include four corners. In one embodiment of the removable cover, the cover includes a plurality of interconnecting panels having a pair of opposed outermost panels. Each of the pair of outermost panels has a pair of opposed panel sides and a pair of corners including a seam at each corner such that when the cover removably lodges over the top of the rectangular surface of the table or the bench, each of the seams essentially snugly engages the general vertical section of one of the corners of the rectangular surface of the table or the bench, and a breadth depending skirt is integrally formed. In another embodiment of the removable cover, the removable cover includes a sheet instead of a plurality of panels. The sheet may also include the seams with the skirt. At least one loop is secured to each of the pair of outermost panels between the respective pair of seams.

Abstract: A collapsible flow control art easel comprises a base plate which is mounted on the under-side of an art board and which includes spaced apart apertures. A retaining plate mounted on a tripod such as the type commonly used by photographers has two spaced apart guide members with lips that interlock with rims of the base plate adjacent the apertures. The retaining plate also carries a pivotal lever arm having a flange movable into and over a rim of a third aperture of the base plate, in order to releasably lock the base plate to the retaining plate. The guide members have exterior, laterally converging guide surfaces which engage converging lateral rims of the base plate for aligning the latter to the retaining plate. A multi-pivotal support assembly, including the tripod, enables movement of the base plate and the art board carried thereon in a path defined by a reference line extending transversely through the base plate and sweeping an imaginery, inverted cone.

Abstract: A work table is disclosed having three end-to-end abutted sections joined by adjustable longitudinal bars for forming a rigid table from one or more of the respective sections. Four sets of adjustable bars extend longitudinally of the table and fit varying lengths of the table comprising from 1 to 3 sections of the abutted table members. The bars extend in parallel to the longitudinal length of the table, provide rigidity to the respective table sections as well as extend between the respective sections when one or more leaves are joined. Cross X-type legs are provided with a variable pivot. The variable pivots enables the crossover point of the legs to be varied so that the table may be disposed at various heights and inclinations about its longitudinal length. The legs are provided at their upper end with U-sectioned channels having locking wing nuts for keying at selected locations to the longitudinal bars.

Abstract: The invention provides a display table attachment for shopping cards of the type generally found in, for example, high volume food marts and like retail outlets. A typical cart has a wheeled frame carrying a basket that has an open top delineated by a peripheral rail structure whose front and rear ends are differently configured, including shapes and dimensions. The inventive table is configured to accommodate the front and rear configurations in such manner that the table top is level at a comfortable height and thus serves admirably for the display of samples, promotional products and the like, usually monitored by an attendant. Specifically, the table is notched, slotted, etc. at its rear to accommodate the wider and higher rail structure at the rear end of the basket and the front end of the table includes a support for elevating the table, in cooperation with the rear end configuration, so as to achieve the level status of the table.

Various shaped and sized tables can be accommodated by an apparatus utilizing a series of opposing pairs of strips releasably attached to a location underneath one edge of the table.

Abstract: An ironing table comprises an ironing cloth to be stretched thereacross. In order to allow a faster replacement and fixing of the ironing cloth, the ironing table comprises a groove or slot at a first side thereof for engaging a first lateral edge of the ironing cloth and a Velcro fastening at the opposite second side of the ironing table for attaching the opposite second edge of the ironing cloth.

Abstract: Pivotal attachments are incorporated in the construction of a restaurant tray support stand which provide the option of doubling the tray-supporting capacity thereof, without necessitating any significant complicating changes in construction or mode of use. The inventive stand is still easy to position, set-up and use, either with one or, according to the present invention, a second tray support area or station.

Abstract: A stand is designed for holding a computer printer and in particular mounts the printer at right angles to conventional practice so that the platen of the printer runs front to back on the stand rather than side to side. Such an arrangement allows easier access to the printer. The stand is provided with a shelf below the top surface for storage of paper which is to be printed, and provision is made for a slot in one or both side walls to feed the paper upwardly and outwardly into the printer. Each of the two side walls is generally planar and imperforate with the exception of the slots for the aforementioned paper feed. A basket may also be provided for reception of the paper after printing.

Abstract: An accessory table for a portable kettle type barbecue grill includes a table top surface with an inner edge contoured to match the arcuate shape of the kettle, the inner edge being mounted to the kettle in a spaced apart orientation by two pairs of clips which capture the lip of the grill by fitting over and under its rolled edge. A tubular strut supports the outer edge of the table surface by extending therefrom to the grill's axle. The strut is held in position on the axle by a retaining pin, and at the table surface by a swivel mount which permits it to be leveled by changing the swivel mount's position. A plastic tie wrap is used to strap a medial portion of the strut to the third support leg of the kettle grill. The accessory table may thereby be provided in kit form for installation on a kettle grill without detracting from its portability as it is supported entirely from the grill itself.

Abstract: A pair of planar members which form the surface of a table are arranged in co-planar relationship on flanges extending inwardly from the opposite side rails of a rigid, non-expandable frame. The two planar members are slidable between a first, closed position in which the adjacent edges of the two planar members abut each other and a second, open position with the planar members spaced apart. In the open position, a third auxiliary planar member, having a width equal to the first two and normally kept separate from the table, is inserted between the spaced adjacent ends of the planar members and supported on the flanges. The frame is formed of a pair of spaced side rails, end rails connecting the side rails, and four legs extending downwardly from the corners of the frame member.A locking mechanism interconnects the side rails and the two planar members, so that the two planar members are held together in locked relationship in either the first position or the second position.

Abstract: A unitary package rest member for use on a wrap station is comprised of a central section (42) which can be mounted in at least two different positions to the wrap station, and first and second shelves (44, 45) extending from the central section parallel to each other, spaced apart, and of substantially different area in order to provide to the operator a selection of mounting the rest member with either the smaller or larger shelf in the active operating rest position. The shelf parts extend in opposite directions from the central section, such that the rest shelf not in use projects inwardly under the top section of the wrap station, out of the way of the operator. The rest member can be formed by bending a unitary blank of sheet metal such that the shelf parts are parallel to each other, extending in opposite directions, and the sides of the blank are so dimensioned, in symmetrical fashion, that the blanks may be struck from a strip or sheet of the material with minimum waste.

The auxiliary table may be mounted on the carriage in a first position, in which the auxiliary table surface forms an extension of the main table for conjointly supporting work pieces to be moved in cutting relation to the saw blade, with the screw jack functioning to adjust the spacing bewtween the saw blade and a fence carried fixedly by the base, and a second position in which the auxiliary table surface is disposed vertically at an edge of the main table top and the projecting saw blade overlies the main table surface for grooving, edging or shaping the edge of a work piece supported on the main table.

The container has a frame of generally right-angled parallelepipedic shape that supports a plurality of juxtaposed shelves. The vertical corners of the frame are defined by vertically-extending members, pairs of which are interconnected to form the sides of the frame. The sides are adjustably interconnected to each other. Each side supports one-half of a shelf, with the lowermost half being rigidly connected to the vertical members and the upper halves being adjustable. The shelf halves extend towards each other to define a support surface. The distance between the shelf halves is varied by changing the distance between the interconnected sides. Wheels are connected to the frame to facilitate its movement.
