Abstract: A security storage box for papers of a similar size, such as checks, is provided by a one piece molded container, one piece molded lid, and accessories such as a handle, key lock securing the lid to the container, adjustable interior partition wall to adjust the container for a different volume of papers, and a transparent envelope on one end wall of the container to secure identification cards. The container and lid are provided with various reinforcing ribs and flanges, and an interlocking structure to secure multiple lidded containers in a stacked position with like end walls aligned.

Abstract: A wall safe 10 uses an open front steel cabinet 20 mounted flush within a wall with a lock assembly 30 secured in one region and a portable deposit box 50 removably locked in place within another region. Lock assembly 30 includes a combination lock 24, an operating arm 35 enabled to turn when combination lock 24 is open, and a pair of live bolts 25 linked together for movement by arm 35 between locked and unlocked positions. A pair of dead bolts 19 arranged on an inner wall of cabinet 20 opposite live bolts 25 cooperate with lock assembly 30 in holding deposit box 50 securely in place. Opposite ends of the deposit box have internal steel channels 54 and 55 enclosing recesses into which the live and dead bolts enter through apertures 60 in the side walls of box 50. When locked, live bolts 25 pin together lock assembly 30, a crossbar 16 at the back of cabinet 20, and deposit box 50, making the system highly resistant to attack.

Abstract: A conventional steel case with drawers or a cash container are placed on an elevating system placed in a container below ground level. An outer shell of the container comprises armored, high strength and water proof concrete and an inner shell of the container comprises galvanized steel plate and the container is covered by a three layer armored cover plate. The cover plate has an upper layer of jointless connected steel segments or of a compact high hardness cast iron plate and prevents drilling and cutting with portable tools. The intermediate layer of copper plate renders impossible the use of cutting burners. A lower layer of an asbestos containing insulating plate protects the contents of the disappearing underground safe from heat in case of fire. Safety switches for the power of the motor and the actuation of the motor and a built in alarm system provide additional protection.

Abstract: A hidden drawer arrangement for a cash transaction cabinet. A drawer is mounted in slide-out fashion in a compartment of the cabinet. A plain face panel on the drawer extends the width of the compartment to have the appearance of an immobile structural element of the cabinet. A latch arrangement is provided on the bottom of the drawer and is hidden by a lower section of the drawer face panel extending below the plane of the drawer bottom.

Abstract: A safety deposit box of all plastic construction has a tray component and a cover comprising a fixed lid and a hinged lid hingedly connected thereto. The hinge is a plastic molding having a pair of resilient tongues engageable with retainers on the undersides of the lids, and having a flexible medial portion which defines a transverse hinge axis. The hinged lid is held in the closed position by an all plastic releasable latch.
