The released water boils and forms steam. A spiral-shaped steam conduit is formed in either the wall of the storage container or in the liner itself. The steam conduit directs the steam away from the munition. The metal storage container includes a pressure relief valve to release the steam pressure. The storage apparatus delays the detonation of the energetic material in the munition.

A jump drive within the portable box preferably houses the magnetic media. When the fire resistant containment system is exposed to 1550° F. for 30 minutes the interior of lightweight portable box enclosure remains below 125° F.

    Abstract: A safe anchoring device for anchoring a safe to a floor. In addition to anchoring the safe, the safe anchoring device simultaneously provides a watertight and airtight seal for the interior of the safe. A tunnel connects the interior housing to the exterior housing. Insulation is between the interior housing and the exterior housing. A removable top cover covers the tunnel on the inside of the safe at the interior housing. When the anchoring device is used to anchor the safe to the floor, a removable threaded locking bolt extends through the tunnel and is threaded onto a threaded tube section of a bottom cover while the bottom cover is securely attached to the floor. In a preferred embodiment, when the safe is anchored to the floor the watertight and airtight seal is provided by a gasket under the top cover and an O-ring under the bolt head of the threaded locking bolt.

One method of making the composite armor includes: providing a honeycomb core having polygonal openings; adhering a sheet to cover the polygonal openings that are located on one side of the honeycomb core; at least partially filling at least some of the openings with a resin; placing one or more inserts within at least some of the openings; and adhering a front sheet to the oppositely facing side of the honeycomb core. A preferred manufacturing practice involves resin infusion.
