  • Patent number: 8943984
Abstract: A girdle band for underwear connection and a processing method thereof, the girder band has a baseband with upper and lower overturning edges, a plurality of snap rings, surface cloth and a shaping layer, and the processing method has the following steps: firstly respectively connecting both surfaces of the lower overturning edge of the baseband with the shaping layer and the first strip of the surface cloth; sewing the bottom surface of the second strip of the surface cloth with the shaping layer; forming the upper and the lower overturning edges; and using an ultrasonic wave cutting machine for cutting the long strip-shaped baseband into girdle band units. The girdle band has the advantages of no sewing joints on the back surface and good appearance effect, and can avoid skin injuries.

  • Patent number: 4250822
Abstract: A novel low bulk seam is disclosed for use in paper making machine fabrics, such as dryer felts. The seam is particularly adapted for use with multi-filament yarns which comprise multi-ply fabrics. A novel method for producing this seam is disclosed which comprises the insertion of a seaming coil, the removal of picks in adjacent fabric areas, the folding and sewing of such areas, the creation of a warp fringe, the weaving back of portions of that fringe into the fabric body, and the application of various fasteners including adhesive and sewing to create a unique, reliable seam providing substantially uniform thickness and air permeability across the full fabric width. A durable, reliable, non-marking seam is accordingly provided.

  • Patent number: 4048277
Abstract: An improved splice is provided which is useful in joining segments of a substantially flat band (e.g., a flat tow) of an acrylic fibrous material in an end to end relationship. A fabric surrounds and is sewn to an end of each band segment and extends beyond the end of the band to form a fabric extension. A pair of fabric extensions are sewn in an overlapping opposing relationship in the absence of any substantial overlap of the acrylic fibrous material of each band segment within the splice. The resulting splice is substantially flat in configuration and the band may be continuously passed in the direction of its length through the thermal stabilization zone without impairment of movement resulting from the presence of the splice. The usual exothermic heat of reaction which is evolved during the cyclization portion of the thermal stabilization reaction effectively is dissipated from within the splice without harm.
