Abstract: Disclosed is a fastening system for garments such as brassieres, and methods of manufacturing thereof, that places a female engaging device, such as an eye, in a cavity, thereby allowing a male engaging device, such as a hook, to engage with the female engaging device without adding bulk or depth to the fastening system. This provides a slim, comfortable and stylish fastener.
Abstract: “Decorative Covers” provide consumers with an easy and efficient method for changing the look of vertical Venetian blinds (5) five different ways in a distinct design. The invention is comprised of two separate swatches of cloth material, each of which bears a different color and/or design. These swatches are elongated strip format and in same proportionate sizes to match the Venetian blind slat to which they are to encase. These swatches are attached by stitch on each elongated vertical side and on one horizontal border remains an open proximal end is an open horizontal slit, and on each wall, and through which the attachment pieces of the encased Venetian blind slat fit. The interior border of this proximal end may be lined with a hook-and-loop, buttonhole, snaps and/or straps upon encased Venetian Blind slat. The sleeve may be removed and machine washed. The sleeves are available in a wide variety of colors and designs.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a connector by fastening a plurality of the fasteners in an array on a face of a backing sheet and forming an aperture in a first sheet portion for receiving each fastener. Each aperture extends between the opposing first and second surfaces of the first sheet portion. Each fastener is inserted into each respective aperture such that the face of the backing sheet is directed inwardly to lie against the first surface. A second sheet portion is abutted with the second surface and joining the first and second sheet portions such that they are joined along at least two opposing edges common to both the first and second sheet portions. The backing sheet is fixed to the first or second sheet portion and inverting the first and second sheet portions such that the face of the backing sheet is directed outwardly. Each fastener protrudes outwardly from each aperture and the backing sheet lies between the first and second sheet portions.
Abstract: Brassiere tapes having a body portion and a pair of overlapping tabs extending outwardly therefrom are manufactured by providing a continuous strip of the tape material having elements spaced there along and layers at least in the body portion-forming part thereof. The material is weldable with ultrasonic vibratory energy, and the tabs are separated physically from each other while simultaneously maintained in acoustical energy coupling relation to each other, such that the individual layers of material in the strip are welded together across the body portion of a tape defined thereby and the tabs are individually welded along an edge but not welded together when interposed between an ultrasonically vibrating horn and an anvil. The strip is advanced on an intermittent basis between the horn and the anvil by the elements for continuously producing tapes having a desired number of elements thereon.
