Abstract: The feed dog adjustment device, includes a feed rock shaft rotatably attached to a sewing machine frame with an eccentric shaft provided at an eccentric position with respect to a center, a feed rock shaft crank that slides about the feed rock shaft, a feed bar rotatably attached to the feed rock shaft crank, a feed dog provided on the feed bar, an actuator for inclination adjustment that rotates the eccentric shaft, and a controller that drives the actuator for inclination adjustment to adjust an inclination of the feed dog on a basis of data related to a type and stretchability of fabric.

Abstract: A sewing machine includes a sewing controller that controls sewing machine components, an imaging element capable of capturing facial images of a sewing machine user; a settings storage that stores settings for preset modes, the settings comprising items pertaining to sewing machine functions; a user information storage that stores facial image data of the user captured by the imaging element with mapping to the settings of the mode registered with the user; a verifier that verifies whether or not image data that matches the facial image data captured by the imaging element at sewing operation start exists in the user information storage; and an instruction controller that reads the settings from the user information storage when receiving a positive verification result from the verifier, and that instructs the sewing controller to control the sewing machine components based on the settings read.

Abstract: A workpiece cloth positioning guide device for a sewing machine includes a projector which projects a sewing reference mark onto an upper side of workpiece cloth placed on a sewing bed of the sewing machine. The projector includes a telescopic cylindrical body having an upper end provided with the light source and a lower end, a transmission part provided in a lengthwise middle portion of the cylindrical body and formed with a mark forming pattern for forming the sewing reference mark, a projector lens provided in the lower end of the cylindrical body, and a projector lens elevating unit which raises and lowers the projector lens, and a mark size setting unit which sets a size of the circle of the sewing reference mark to a desired size.

Abstract: A sewing machine includes a needle, a holding frame having a stitchable area within which the needle is operable to perform stitching, storing means for storing sewing data on various embroidery patterns, indicating means for indicating, within the stitchable area, positions on the workpiece that is held by the holding frame, stitching region setting means for setting a stitching region in accordance with the positions indicated by the indicating means, embroidery pattern creating means for creating, in accordance with a position and a size of the stitching region, and based on the sewing data, embroidery pattern data on an embroidery pattern having a size that is fittable within the stitching region, and control means for controlling the needle and the holding frame to form the embroidery pattern on the workpiece within the stitching region in accordance with the embroidery pattern data.

Abstract: Sewing machine provided with an indication device including a display that is so large that the lower leftward portion protrudes into the stitch working area of the machine. The display may be moved up and down by of a switch and may be moved up until the lower end side of the display aligns with the lower end side of the machine arm and may be stopped at an upper optional position. At the lowest position, the upper end side of display has the upper side located in alignment with the top side of machine body and has the front side plane planar with the front side of the arm and has the lateral end side planar with the lateral end side of the machine body. The display has no part protruding from the machine body at the lowest position, and is thus placed compactly in the machine frame of machine body.

Abstract: A pattern stitching sewing machine is disclosed, wherein a pattern selecting device including a pattern selecting dial is rotatingly operated to select at least one of a plurality of different patterns pattern. First and second indication means are operated in association with operation of the pattern selecting device to indicate a pattern selected by the pattern selecting and an adjustment scope of the selected pattern with respect to at least one of the stitch width and the work feeding amount respectively.

Abstract: A sewing machine has a front operating panel secured thereto and a pattern selecting device. A pivotable pattern table is mounted on the lower end of the operating panel and an inside surface of the pattern table has a pattern indicating device. The pattern table is rotatable from a closed position in which an outside surface is flush with the outside surface of the operating panel and into an open position in which its outside surface is resting on the sewing machine frame so that both the pattern indicating means and pattern selecting devices are simultaneously visible to a machine operator. The pattern table is pivotably supported on a shaft supported in a bearing located at the lower end of the operating panel.

The marker adopts an individual color for each line of symbols, whereby the number of marker devices is reduced. The setting values of the stitch, zigzag, and tension controls (16,17,18) are indicated on a tape (22) operated by a seam selector knob. The tape includes a flap (24) for the marker.

Abstract: An electronic sewing machine comprises two tables of ideograms corresponding to the patterns capable of being sewn by the machine. One of these tables is carried by the front face of the casing of the machine and the other by the bottom of a pivoting cover capable of occupying two end positions. One of these end positions is a raised end position, in which the user may view the ideograms of the cover, and the other is a lowered end position, in which the cover is closed over on the casing of the machine and covers up the first of the tables of ideograms, the second also being likewise out of sight.

The pulse generator cooperates with markings which deliver pulses corresponding to the stepwise amounts and can be switched on via a switch actuable upon locking engagement of the setting element. The pulse generator is connected to a display unit via a pulse evaluating device.

Abstract: A pattern indication arrangement for a pattern selecting device, that is operated by finger-pushing, of a sewing machine, is comprised of a plurality of shorter rectangular pattern indicators; a plurality of longer rectangular pattern indicators, and located on each indicator for actuating the indicators when pushed. Each element is projected from each of the indicators, the shorter rectangular pattern indicators and the longer rectangular pattern indicators are arranged adjacent to each other in longitudinal and transverse directions in alignment with each other in the alternate rows.
