And Specified Electronic Memory Patents (Class 112/445)
  • Patent number: 11274385
Abstract: A sewing machine includes a bed portion, a conveyance portion, a sewing portion, an image capture portion, a projector, a processor, and a memory. The conveyance portion is configured to convey a sewing object placed on the bed portion. The memory is configured to store marker information and computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, instruct the processor to perform processes. The processes include causing the image capture portion to perform the image capture at a predetermined timing, during a conveyance period, identifying the marker in a captured image, using the marker information stored in the memory, identifying a projection position corresponding to the identified marker, when the marker is identified, and causing the projector to project the projection image indicating the identified projection position, while following a movement of the marker on the sewing object being conveyed.

  • Patent number: 10934649
Abstract: The sewing machine includes a projector and a controller. The controller determines a sewing area inside an embroidery hoop such that the sewing area is greater than a projection area where the projector projects a projection image. The controller determines an embroidery pattern and a position of the embroidery pattern located relative to the sewing area. The controller determines, in the sewing area, a target area corresponding to the projection area. The controller generates projection image data representing a part or a whole, which falls in the target area, of the embroidery pattern relative to the sewing area, and controls the projector to project a projection image based on the projection image data after moving the embroidery hoop.

Abstract: When rotating processing of an embroidery pattern is called, an embroidery data processing device first determines whether a right turn key is operated. When the right turn key is operated, a current rotational angle is increased by a predetermined number of degrees. By contrast, when a left turn key is operated, the current rotational angle is reduced by a predetermined number of degrees. Further, display of a mask indicating sizes in the X and Y directions of the embroidery pattern is changed based on the instructed rotational angle. When the rotational angle is finally determined, the embroidery pattern is rotationally converted and the mask data is formed based on the embroidery data after the conversion. Therefore, when the embroidery pattern is rotated, a range for arranging the rotated embroidery pattern in a sewing area is not narrowed.
