Abstract: A testing apparatus for the hydrostatic interlock of a lifeboat includes a pressure cylinder provided with a valve. A positive-negative pressure annular fastener made of soft plastic material is assembled on the topside of the pressure cylinder and has its topside formed with an attaching surface. A U-shaped support frame is fixed at the outer side of the pressure cylinder, and a telescopic support holder is connected to the U-shaped support frame. An anchor base is positioned under the telescopic support holder, and a manual pump has a tube connected to the valve, and installed with a pressure gauge. The testing apparatus for the hydrostatic interlock of a lifeboat in the invention can simulate the launchings pressure of a lifeboat to carry out actual hooks release in a lifeboat drill, able to ensure safety of lives of the personnel who participate in the drill.
Abstract: A coupling for coupling a fall (26) to a lifeboat (1) comprising locking portions and a receiving portion constituting a hollow (10) having a open end and an upwardly facing aperture (15). The locking portion (25), hollow (10) and aperture (15) having a form preventing the locking portion (25) from passing through the aperture (15). The coupling further comprises actuators (30, 35, 39) controlled by a controller (40). A string (27) may be provided for easy retrieval of the locking portions upon the retrieval of the lifeboat (1).

Abstract: A rigid structural pallet is provided to support and carry cargo suspended by a crane or helicopter for delivery into or recovery from the water. The pallet consists of a rigid panel extending the full longitudinal and lateral (horizontal) extent of the pallet, one or more longitudinal rails, and a single suspension ring attached to the longitudinal rail or rails carrying the full weight of the cargo and pallet.
Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus for launching or retrieving a vessel. This apparatus includes a first vertical member having a top and a bottom end. A lower vessel engagement hook is positioned at the lower end of the vertical member. A second vertical member is positioned in parallel spaced relation to the first vertical member. An upper vessel engagement structure is positioned at the lower end of the second vertical member in spaced opposed relation to the lower vehicle engagement hook. The second vertical member moves axially upwardly and downwardly to allow for engagement with the vessel.

Abstract: A lifting harness for hoisting a dinghy includes a hoisting ring having a top and a bottom. The ring has a portion at the top for fastening the ring to an overhead hoist. The ring also includes a horizontally extending strap-supporting slide bar for supporting a stern strap and a bow supporting member as a part of the ring for securing a bow strap to the ring. The stern strap extends over the slide bar and includes an opening at each end for surrounding the rear portion of the pontoon tube. The stern strap is adapted to slide to the left or to the right across the slide bar relative to the dinghy for balancing the dinghy. A bow strap is provided and includes an upper end that is connected to the bow support member. The bow strap extends downwardly from the ring and includes a means for connecting the bow strap to the bow of the dinghy.
Abstract: A keel hoist assembly for use in raising and lowering the keel of a retractable keel sailboat and including a winch unit and a generally tubular retractable support tube. The winch unit is removably mountable to a top end of the retractable support member which, in turn, fits within a tubular receiving column provided to the sailboat and extending between the bottom of the boat hull and the deck. The retractable support member is adapted for telescoping movement within the tubular receiving column and is movable between a first retracted position within the tubular receiving column and a second extended position wherein the support member is disposed extended upwardly at a distance above the top deck. locking pin members are provided to lock the support tube in the retracted and extended positions. When not in use, the winch unit is removed from the retractable support tube and stowed below deck and the retractable support member is moved to its retracted position and locked in place.
Abstract: A lifting device is provided for rapidly coupling and uncoupling a floating load, such as a boat, when it is set afloat or raised from the water. It includes essentially a hook secured to the load and a coupling element connected by cables to a lifting appliance. The concavity of the hook is turned downwards. Its section is trapezoidal and tapers towards its tip. The coupling element includes two arms whose facing walls are slanted and guide the hook towards the central housing. Springs, disposed laterally in the housing, come to bear against the lateral slanting faces of the hook and prevent it from leaving again.
