Abstract: A system and method for ascertaining field position for the game of American football has first and second wheels, each being substantially planar and round. The first wheel is relatively smaller than the second wheel and the two are rotatably mounted coaxially with respect to each other to allow rotation. The wheels are marked with various notches, numbers, and arrows to allow quick and easy calculation of yards gained or lost on a given play in accordance with the described operation.

The activation device may include a motion sensor or an infrared sensor. The motion detector may take the form of an ultrasonic sensor, which is sensitive to vibrations in an ultrasonic frequency range.
Abstract: A card game playing aid comprising a display support structure on which is affixed an array of reference marks and a plurality of legended indicators adapted to be positioned relative to said reference marks in accordance with clues and inferences of card holdings obtained during game play. The positions of the individual said indicators and the special relationships between these indicators form a compact display of key qualitative and quantitative card hand parameters determinative of card holdings, and thereby enables the user to establish the make-up of concealed card hands during game play without the need for the special skills normally required of card memorization and other mental manipulation typically beyond the capability of average card players.
Abstract: A device for keeping a golf score comprises two flat panels fastened to provide a space in between. The first face is equipped with nine horizontal slots, numbered 1 to 9 and the second face an equal number of slots numbered 10 to 18 representing the holes on a golf course. Indicating runners or slides operate in these slots which are equipped with stops providing spaces and numbers from 0 to 10 for each slot representing the number of strokes per hole. Indicating slots are of novel construction so as to be easily moveable and yet may be readily arrested and held in place opposite the number corresponding to the strokes taken by the player. Numbered wheels are provided for totalizing the score as the game progresses.
