Abstract: Technologies for determining positional coordinates on the surface of an object are disclosed. In some embodiments the technologies utilize a code drum to encode incident light into structured light and non-structured light that is projected on the surface of the object being measured. The code drum may include a plurality of hybrid cyclic binary code (HCBC) patterns, wherein the plurality of HCBC patterns include a plurality of weighted numbering system patterns, and a plurality of unweighted numbering system patterns. Systems and methods for measuring positional coordinates on a surface of an object being measured are also described.
Abstract: An appliance and illuminated knob assembly are generally provided herein. The knob assembly may include a surface panel, a control knob, a light source, and a light guide. The surface panel may have a forward face and a rearward face. The control knob may be attached to the surface panel at the forward face. Moreover, the control knob may be rotatable about a central axis. The light source may be disposed behind the surface panel at the rearward face. The light guide may be removably attached to the surface panel about the control knob and include a view ring to receive a portion of light emitted from the light source.

Abstract: A radio decoration system for enhancing an ornamental appearance of a radio includes a vehicle and a radio that is coupled to the vehicle. The radio has a plurality of knobs and each of the knobs is selectively manipulated. A plurality of covers is provided and each of the covers is removably coupled to an associated one of the knobs. Each of the covers is structured to have an ornamental appearance of athletic equipment.
Abstract: A knob assembly includes a repositionable knob having an interior framework and a light-transmissive indicia, at least one light source for projecting light into the knob to back-illuminate the indicia, a position sensor for providing an output dependent on the position of the knob, and a controller receiving the output from the sensor and controlling the intensity of the at least one light source to compensate for any light blocked by the interior framework, and maintain a substantially uniform illumination of the light-transmissive indicia so that it is viewable from the exterior of the knob.

Abstract: A niche for a pool or spa light includes a back wall having an aperture for a power cable, a side wall, a plurality of mounting ribs, and a groove formed in at least one of the plurality of mounting ribs for receiving a locking mechanism of a pool or a spa light for locking the pool or spa light in position with respect to the niche. In another embodiment, a niche for a pool or spa light includes a body and a rotatable hub with a plurality of mounting ribs for attaching a pool or spa light to the hub. The body includes a back wall having a power cable aperture and a threaded aperture for receiving a screw, and a side wall. The hub includes a back wall having an aperture for receiving the screw and a plurality of mounting ribs, the hub being rotatable about the screw. A groove is formed in at least one of the plurality of mounting ribs for receiving a locking mechanism of a pool or a spa light for locking the pool or spa light in position with respect to the niche.

Abstract: A display for a vehicle, including a light source, an optical device to guide light from the light source and form the light from the light source into a light pointer, a head portion disposed above a meter surface to project the light pointer formed by the optical device on the meter surface from above of the meter surface, a driving device to rotate the head portion, and a height adjusting mechanism to adjust a height of the head portion to the meter surface to be capable of changing a length of the light pointer while projecting the light pointer.
Abstract: An improved system for indicating a tuned broadcast band frequency in which a rotatable turret projects a beam of illumination along a predetermined path towards a dial scale with marking indicia indicating a selected band frequency. A carriage operative to move in a linear path tunes a predetermined band frequency as selected by an operator. The carriage engages a pivotable line on said turret so as to rotate the turret on its axis to project the light beam on the dial scale at a band frequency corresponding to the position of the carriage.
