Abstract: A litter box assembly for house pets is disclosed, which includes a container rotatably mounted to a stand, allowing the litter box to rotate from its normal position to a cleaning position and/or a resetting position. The litter box assembly includes contact portions that contact a portion of the stand or the floor in the cleaning position and the resetting position. When the contact portions contact the stand or the floor, the vibration of the litter box container caused by the contact facilitates the movement and dislodging of litter and waste. This contact can be repeated to facilitate the cleaning of the container.

Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus and method for maintaining pet waste in a fully-encapsulated environment whereby waste may be removed and litter may be added/replaced in a substantially sealed, dust-free, and clean manner. In one aspect, the pet waste management system comprises a sealed means by which litter may added and/or removed and/or exchange with fresh litter without the substantial release of contaminated dust and materials from the litter system. The invention also provides a vessel or container for receiving spent litter and/or for housing fresh litter where said vessel or container comprises a connection means for sealably connecting the vessel or container to an enclosed pet management system so that litter may be added and/or exchanged therewith. Further, the invention provides a continuous bagging dispenser fitted to a pet management system which allows for continuous removal of pet waste from the pet management system.

Abstract: A device for separating clean litter from soiled litter comprising a receptacle with one inlet and two discharge outlets. Soiled animal litter enters the receptacle through the inlet and clean litter is separated out from the soiled litter. When the container is tilted in a first direction, feces exit the container through the first outlet and clean litter is retained in the receptacle. When the container is tilted in a second direction, clean litter exits the container through the second outlet and clean litter is retained in the receptacle.

The window opening includes an upper edge, a lower edge and two side edges. The animal litter-box further includes a granular-sifting-apparatus, having a container body, and a litter-scooper disposed inside the upper portion of the container body. The litter-scooper includes a scooper container body, wherein sifting-openings are formed at the bottom and optionally, at the lower sides of the scooper body. The granular-sifting-apparatus further includes a paws-sifter, disposed on top of the litter-scooper, for the animal to step on when going in and out of the granular-material-housing.

Abstract: The insert of the present invention comprises a bottom with slots so it allows the liquid waste to flow through without spreading to the remaining litter. The slots are two different sizes so that various types of litter can be used. With the feature, the liquid waste can be separated from the solid waste, thus it makes the cleaning much easier than using a regular litter pan or box. Since less litter is soiled by the liquid waste, the amount of litter to be replenished every day can be reduced, thus, it can cut down the consumption of litter. As a result, the owner can save money.

Abstract: A cat litter box cleaning system designed to sieve waste clumps from cat litter is provided. The cat litter box cleaning system has multiple layers thereby providing multiple cleaning operations. The layers may consist of a sieving layer and a liner. The liner shields the sieving layer from the cat's claws and the sieving layer is used to remove the waste from the litter. Each sieving layer and liner releasably cooperates with layer securing fixtures. The layer securing fixtures releasably attach the layers to a base and prevent the cat from dislodging the sieves or liners. Access ports may be provided for removing the layers from the layer securing fixtures without having to come into contact with the cat litter. A method is provided where at least two cat litter box cleaning systems are utilized to ensure that fresh cat litter always forms the basis of the litter used.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a pet litter box that has a lower portion shell assembly and an upper portion shell. The upper portion shell assembly includes an opening onto a grate floor which a pet has to walk across to gain access to the litter below in the lower portion shell. The grate floor and an associated dividing wall are couple directly to and with the upper portion shell such that when the upper portion is removed from the lower portion shell, the grate floor and dividing wall are removed with it giving full access to the litter below. The grate floor is typically comprised of an expanded metal grate.

The main litter box is divided into two compartments by the scoop, which is releasably attached thereto. The scoop has approximately the same width and the same contour as the inside of the litter box. A pet-accessible compartment allows a pet to use the litter during elimination. The litter box system can be tipped up onto an angled end as part of a cleaning method allowing unclumped litter to pass through the scoop into a litter reservoir. The scoop can then be used to remove the waste. Then, litter can be directed back into the pet-accessible compartment by tipping the box the other way and replacing the scoop before placing the box levelly onto its bottom.

A scoop having an extended handle and storage compartment may be provided to facilitate removing waste from the pan.

During a rotational sifting cycle, the sifting drawer enters the litter to capture the litter for filtering to separate animal waste from the litter. The sifting drawer is removed along a direction that is parallel to the axis of the housing about which the housing is rotated.
