Abstract: A decorative cat litter box enclosure having a furniture like appearance with a pivotal ramp having a lip on three side and a mesh-like material extending between the sides so that when the ramp is closed the interior ramp edge arcs over the litter box depositing any captive litter from the cat's paws back into the litter box. Also provided is a based positioned hinged door to access the litter box which has a plastic liner and drawstring that work in conjunction with an extendable retractable latch located on the exterior front that when extended prevents removal of the litter box while the drawstring is used to close the plastic liner bag. The latch is then retracted and the litter bag is removed for disposal. Also provided on the exterior surface are a plurality of hooks for attaching accessory items as desired by the user which may include dust pan, brush and rubber gloves along with attachable removable food and water dishes.

Abstract: A cat litter box having a base and detachable cover secured to the base. The front portion of the top of the cover and an inwardly and outwardly swinging door attached to the front portion together form a bifolding door for opening the front and a portion of the top of the box for servicing the litter box. The cover when detached from the base nests with the base for storage and shipping the box.

Abstract: A disposable liner for placing in a litter box protects the litter box from soil deposited by cats and other pets. The liner has side and end walls projecting upwardly from a floor. Each of the longer side walls has a discontinuity that serves as a fold feature allowing the liner to be folded along a fold line into a folded configuration with the two sections of the floor on either side of the fold in facing relationship. In the folded configuration, the side walls overlap to form a partially closed space for retaining pet waste prior to disposal of the lining.

Abstract: An enclosure for a pet litter pan, having a moisture and odor-resistant plastic rattan-like material woven on a wire frame. The enclosure is quickly and easily assembled from multiple panels using pin connectors and connector feet. An openable panel provides access to remove the litter pan for cleaning, and has low-friction rails along its interior for facilitating easier removal and replacement of the pan.

Abstract: An animal litter box includes an evacuation container and a hood, the hood having a fixed hood, a movable hood, and a pair of connecting portions. The movable hood is configured to be moved rotatably either outside or inside the fixed hood such that an end edge of the movable hood is proximal to the fixed hood while maintaining a prescribed distance at least one of the fixed hood 31 and the movable hood is provided with a convex restricting portion which prevents a distance between an end edge on at least the one end of the movable hood 32 and the fixed hood 31 from being less than the prescribed distance.

Abstract: An animal litter box having a movable hood can be used both in the open state and the closed state, and the movable hood can be compactly accommodated in the open state. The animal litter box includes an evacuation container and a hood, the hood having a fixed hood, a movable hood, and a pair of connecting portions. On the movable hood, an opening is provided to a front surface of the movable hood, wherein, the movable hood is rotatably movable with the movable hood 32 being located outside of the fixed hood, and wherein, when the movable hood is in the open state, the movable hood covers an outside of the fixed hood.

Abstract: A portable urination/defecation station for use by dogs, cats, and other pets, for urination/defecation comprising: a base tray, with two halves joined at the center with hinges, and a perimeter for holding artificial grass, or other material; locking snaps and a handle for portability. The station includes two additional hinges equal distance from the center line hinge; both sides of the base are pitched to draw urine, with an impressed pan at center of each pitched side, pans hold an absorbent material to contain liquid; the top edge of the perimeter walls are slotted for side panels with a close interference fit, base has an extruded hole at each corner of the perimeter to allow for tent structure; a circular protuberance placed near one corner of the base is for accessories to be affixed, a handle at one end for transportation, and non-sliding protuberances located at each outside corner.

Abstract: A collapsible animal litter pan has polymeric surfaces that are immune to urine soaking. A plurality of hinges collapse and expand the litter pan. The litter pan has a plurality of friction generating rubber pads on a floor-contacting surface. The opposite surface of the litter pan has sidewalls that locate, receive and stabilize a urine absorption sheet. The urine absorption sheet has a liquid impervious bottom layer, a urine absorption layer composed of cotton, cellulose fluff pulp, commuted pulp, soft wood fine chips, or hydrophilic paper and combinations thereof, together with superabsorbent polymers and a top, liquid permeable, layer. The top and bottom layers are bonded to constrain the urine absorbent layer. Animal urine is substantially completely absorbed by the urine absorbent sheet, while sold waste is not absorbed. A soiled urine absorbent sheet may be replaced with a fresh urine absorbent sheet without soiling the polymer surface of the animal litter pan.

Abstract: A pet litter containment and cleaning system and methods of using a pet litter containment and cleaning system are described. The pet litter system comprises a pan module and removably attached processor module. Soiled pet litter is conveniently processed by rotating a system of the invention, screening and separating soiled litter from clean litter. Pet waste and soiled litter are collected in bags which may be discarded when full. Systems of the invention may be used with both absorbent and nonabsorbent litters. Systems of the invention minimize human contact with soiled pet litter and pet waste and simplify the care of domestic pets.

In the third position, the base panels, side panels and end panels are folded to form a closed box shape. The base includes a bottom portion located between a pair of base panels. The end panels are foldably connected to the base panels. The side panels are foldably connected to the base and the end panels.

Abstract: A litter box assembly has a two piece litter box, each piece having an open end and a support frame in which the open ends are pivotally mounted to each other and to the support frame. Elevating support legs are affixed to the support frame and depend therefrom, the legs being held in fixed rigid position by spacers and braces. The supporting legs form an assembly having an open front, a rear, and two sides, with the open front allowing insertion and withdrawal of a waste or trash container.

Abstract: A circular litter box having a scoop removal remounted in a scoop holder which is pushed around the sidewall of the box to scoop the box. The mounting mechanism for the scoop causes the scoop to assume a relatively vertical position during scooping, to minimize formation of a wave of litter in front of the scoop as it is rotated, but causes the scoop to assume a more horizontal position as the scoop is removed, so the collected waste will not spill from the scoop during removal.

Abstract: A collapsible/expandable pet litter box includes a disposable compact box assembly having a base, a removable lid covering the base, and internally folded flaps connected to the base. The flaps are capable of being unfolded and extended upwardly from the base so as to substantially surround the base and cooperatively form, with the base, a box having sidewalls. One of the sidewalls forms a pet entry and exit aperture. Pet litter is encased within the base of the box. To construct the pet litter box, a first flap is unfolded into an upright position so that a side panel thereof forms a first lateral sidewall. Next, a second flap is unfolded into an upright position so that a side panel thereof forms a second lateral sidewall generally opposite the first lateral sidewall. Then rear panels of the first and second flaps are unfolded towards one another to form a rear sidewall. Front panels of the first and second flaps are unfolded towards one another to form a front sidewall and the pet entry and exit aperture.

Abstract: A litter box cleaning system includes an upright cabinet with a litter pan pivotally mounted in the upper end to move between a horizontal use position and a tilted dump position. A slot is formed in the pan front wall to dispense litter and waste material when the rearward end of the pan is lifted to the dump position. A waste receptacle in the cabinet is positioned below the pan slot such that litter and waste from the pan free-fall into the receptacle for storage and removal. In a second embodiment of the invention, the front wall of the pan is spaced away from the cabinet front wall, and a flap is hinged to the front of the pan to block litter material from falling from the slot.

Abstract: A tray contains a bag of litter and provides four sides to form a litter box. An enclosure folds into a flat configuration against the top of the tray. In use, the panels of the enclosure unfold and form an enclosure for the tray. Closure panels fold upwardly from the tray and interlock with the unfolded panels to add stability. The closure panels are provided with openings to allow the ingress and egress of cats. When desired, the panels can be folded back into the flat configuration and the entire unit disposed of.

Abstract: An absorbent mat useful for treating pet excreta has a flat shape and comprises an absorbing base material comprising at least one of plant fiber and pulp, an antimicrobial surface active agent or a combination of a surface active agent and an antimicrobial agent, and at least one of a binder, a crosslinking agent and water, the absorbent mat having a thickness of 3 mm or greater, a bulk density of 0.05 to 0.3 g/cm3, a saturated water absorption of 2 g/1 g or more, and a rate of water absorption of 30 sec or shorter.

Abstract: A self-cleaning cat litter box apparatus comprises a litter tray for containing a quantity of cat litter, a waste bin, and a mesh basket sized for having lower regions received into the litter. A supporting frame and the basket form a basket assembly that is hinged relative to the litter tray for pivotal movement between a lowered position in which the lower regions of the basket are immersed in cat litter contained in the litter tray and an upright position in which cat waste-containing clumped litter picked up from the tray by the basket is gravity dumped into the waste bin. A basket motor is connected for causing the pivoting of the basket assembly between the lowered and upright positions and for simultaneously opening and closing a waste bin door. Operation of the basket motor is responsive to a cat entering and subsequently leaving the litter tray.

Abstract: A collapsible container having three generally rectangular panels each of which has opposed parallel side edges and opposed parallel end edges. The side edges of each panel are hingedly secured to one side edge of each of the other panels. Additionally, one of the panels includes a fold line extending midway between and parallel to the side edges of that panel thus dividing that panel into two subpanels. The panels are movable between an open and a closed position. In their open position, the panels form a triangular shaped structure whereas in their collapsed position, the panels and subpanels lie in closely adjacent and generally parallel planes to each other. Optionally, the triangular structure can contain cat litter on its interior.

Abstract: Disclosed is a pet toilet that is clean, easy to use, odor free, and one that ultimately reduces or eliminates the need for litter or similar absorbent material. It consists of three parts: a relatively deep lower receptacle, a cover, and a relatively shallow tray located beneath the cover and suspended above the bottom of the lower receptacle. The cover will have an upstanding circumferential rim sufficiently high to initially hold a nominal amount of litter and retain the litter against the normal scratching done by an animal using the device. It will also have an opening adjacent one end. This opening will be of a sufficient size to freely permit the passage of animal waste material into the lower receptacle. The tray is of a size that will completely fill the area beneath the opening in the top cover. It can be positioned so that it may be easily slid backwards and forwards beneath or away from the opening in the cover. During a training period the cover and tray are conventionally filled with litter.

Abstract: A sanitary device for domestic animals comprises a container and at least one liquid absorbing unit which is arranged to be placed in the container and which after use is arranged to be removed from the container in order to be replaced by a new liquid absorbing unit. The liquid absorbing unit comprises at least a first liquid absorbing material which, at a procurement occasion, is substantially sheet-shaped and comprises at least one stamped out form. When the liquid absorbing unit is arranged to be used, at least one area of the stamped out form is gripped and lifted upwards whereafter the area is mixed with other areas of the stamped out form, such that an airy layer is formed in the container.

Abstract: The travel container of the present invention is a disposable package in the form of a kit for the storage of drinking water and a predefined quantity of pet food to be mixed with the stored drinking water to form a predefined meal for a pet dog or pet cat when traveling on a short excursion. The travel container includes, in combination, an open receptacle having a relatively deep compartment with a flat bottom and a large opening for storing a supply of pet food and/or for use as a reservoir for providing water for the canine pet dog to drink from, a cover lid for closing the open receptacle and a separate sealed pouch in which a source of water is stored in the container. The supply of pet food and the source of water are present in proportional amounts to form a predefined convenience pet meal upon adding the water to the pet food.

Abstract: A one piece disposable litter box comprising of a bottom member and 2 end panels with folding flaps along with 2 side panels forming a rectangle container along with a left and right folding side panels with cutouts and a top member with latching handles and locking tab and a rear support privacy panel forming the collapsible hood. The litter box is die cut from 1 piece of integral cardboard sheet which when folded in an appropriate fashion results in a compact litter storage container for shipping, storage and disposal. The litter box may be folded open and held there by the supporting privacy panel to provide an enclosed litter box with one end open and suitable for cats and other small mammals. By reversing this folding procedure the litter box may be returned to its prior dimensional height of approximately 2 inches.

Abstract: A disposable pet litter bag, and a method of using thereof, the method including the steps of: (a) providing the pet litter bag in a folded position, the pet litter bag including: (i) a bottom wall; (ii) a first side wall connected to the bottom wall; (iii) a second side wall connected to the bottom wall; (iv) a rear wall connected to the bottom wall, to the first side wall and to the second side wall; and (v) a front wall connected to the bottom wall, to the first side wall and to the second side wall; (b) separating the front wall and the rear wall to form a top opening in the pet litter bag; (c) applying an internal pressure against the first side wall and against the second side wall, via the top opening, to establish the pet litter bag in a fully open position, and (d) opening an opening in a wall of the walls of the pet litter bag for ingress and egress of a pet.

Abstract: A disposable pet litter bag including: a bottom wall, first and second side walls connected to the bottom wall, a rear wall and a front wall connected to the bottom wall and to the first and second side walls to form a bag having a top opening. The front wall has an opening for the ingress and egress of the pet. The upper ends of the rear and front walls are provided with a mechanism for detachably connecting the rear and front walls, such that the top opening can be secured closed. The bag is designed and configured to be unfolded just before use. The bag is further designed and configured to enable the establishment of the bag in an open position by pressure exerted by hands inserted through the top opening, and to conveniently allow the addition of fresh litter through the top opening. The bag is further designed and configured such that on demand, the top opening is securely closable.

Abstract: A self-cleaning cat litter box for quickly and efficiently removing animal waste and reusing the unused cat litter, which has not been contaminated by the animal waste. The litter box is designed to lift cat defecation and clumped urination above the litter and discharge the waste into a disposable bag without having to touch the waste. The litter box includes at least one or more litter holding pans. The box also includes a litter strainer pan contoured for receipt inside the litter holding pan. The litter strainer pan includes a bottom with a plurality of litter openings for straining the unused litter therethrough and leaving the animal waste on top of the strainer bottom. Further, the box includes a strainer pan top for releasable attachment to the top of sides of the litter strainer pan. The strainer pan top includes a funnel disposed in one side of thereof for receiving the waste from the strainer bottom and discharging the waste into the disposable bag.

Abstract: A sound reducing system comprises a housing, acoustic baffle, and acoustic netting. The acoustic baffle is covered with a waterproof protective casing which protects the acoustic baffle from dirt and moisture without interfering with its acoustic properties, and allows it to be cleaned with fluids. The housing comprises an inner pan and an outer pan which are pivotally coupled. The acoustic baffle and the acoustic netting are disposed within the housing, but can be removed for cleaning when the housing is opened. When the acoustic baffle and acoustic netting members are placed back within the housing, they are protected from damage.

Abstract: A kitty litter box is made from a unitary, one-piece blank is provided. The kitty litter box includes a first section, a second section, and an intermediate section which are hingedly connected together to be movable between a closed position and an opened position. The dimensions of the closed box are such that the closed kitty litter box can be stood upright on store shelves, allowing the stores to make for efficient use of shelf space. Handles are formed in the end walls of the kitty litter box which are movable between a first position in which the handles are coplanar with the end walls and a second position in which the handles are out of the plane of the end walls to facilitate carrying of the box. The handles include spaced apart legs and a cross-member extending between the legs. The handles define tabs on the end walls between the legs, and, when the handles extend up from the end walls, channels are formed in the end walls adjacent side edges of the tabs.

Abstract: A cat litter box has a tray having a bottom from which sides upwardly extend to an upper lip and a lid for the tray which has a top from which sides downwardly extend to a lower lip configured to be supported upon the tray upper lip. The lid sides are formed with an opening through which cats may come and go. A ramp having a rough litter-dislodging surface is mounted in the tray extending upwardly from adjacent the tray bottom to adjacent the lid side wall opening.

Abstract: A circular cat litter container where a sieving mechanism is attached to a rotatable ring atop the container. The circular motion of the ring moves the sieve throughout the entire contents of the litter container capturing any solid waste that is too large to pass through the sieve. The sieve mechanism has axis of movement such that the sieve can be folded out of the way of the contents of the container when the sieve is not in use. The container and sieving mechanism are designed such that the sieve automatically moves into a scooping position when the ring is rotated in a clockwise motion. Conversely, when the ring and sieve are rotated counterclockwise, the sieve automatically is placed in an “out of the way” or resting position. The sieving mechanism is removably attached to the rotatable ring such that the sieve serves to act as a litter scoop to remove and discard the solid waste material found in the litter container.

Abstract: A cat litter system allows a pet owner to recycle unused cat litter without coming into contact with the used cat litter. The cat litter system includes a cover, a base and a screen. The cover engages the base over the screen. The system is rotated to pass unused cat litter through the screen into the cover which is then used as the base. The used cat litter is trapped by the screen and can easily be removed and thrown in a garbage receptacle.

Abstract: The device of the present invention is useful as a disposable litter box and comprised of a base flexibly attached to a cover and constructed from a single piece of biodegradable, lightweight construction material that either is, or is treated to be, moisture resistant. An object of the invention is to provide a collapsible, disposable pet litter box having a cover flexibly attached to a base and wherein the device of the present invention is capable of being manipulated, into an erect state, that allows access to the litter material held within the base, and into a collapsed state that caps the base and seals litter in the base.

Abstract: A cat relief chamber includes a front, a back, a floor, a first side, a second side, and a roof. The front has a doorway formed therein to allow for a cat to enter and exit the chamber. The chamber is adapted to be sold as a substantially flat preform and then expanded by a consumer to a formed state. The floor of the preform is assembled such that the floor forms as the consumer expands the preform to form the chamber. The doorway is formed from a door panel in the front of the chamber. The door panel is pushed in along perforations. The door extends upwardly from the bottom of the chamber, and when pushed in, becomes a part of the floor of the chamber. The chamber can be formed easily and quickly by the consumer and without the use of glue.

Abstract: A disposable litter container including container walls perpendicularly coupled to a base for defining an inner cavity of a container. The litter container including a cover hingedly coupled to a container wall for closing the inner cavity of the container for disposal. The container including barriers extendable between a folded position and an upright position for containing litter material within the inner cavity of the container. The cover including a plurality of spaced foldable extents for defining an adjustable height threshold for entry into the inner cavity of the container. Preferably, the container is formed of a unitary structure and adjacent container walls are connected to form the container. The connection of adjacent container walls of the present invention are designed to retain moisture within the inner cavity. In one embodiment of the invention the container walls are designed for collapse to define a generally flat structure for storage and transport.

Abstract: A disposable pet litter container having litter material therein and formed from a cardboard blank including: a rectangular bottom wall having integrally attached opposing side panels and end panels; a pair of opposing inner and outer folding side walls being integrally attached to each of the opposing side panels; and a pair of opposing inner and outer folding end walls being integrally attached to each of the opposing end panels. In addition, the disposable pet litter container includes a pair of opposing outer locking corner panels attached to each of the opposing end panels; a pair of opposing corner closure devices attached to each of the inner folding end walls for the formation of an anti-scattering component; and a plurality of pull tabs for unfolding the inner side folding walls and the inner end folding walls. The container is formed by connecting the outer locking corner panels of the opposing end panels to the opposing side panels.

Abstract: A litter box and pivotal sifting device assembly having an open base portion and a pivotally movable sifting device operably attached thereto. The base portion also has a litter holding wing portion operatively associated therewith and extending upwardly and outwardly therefrom. The pivotal sifting device is initially disposed beneath a layer of loose litter material. Thereafter, the sifting device is pivotally movable up through the litter material to collect clumped absorbent litter and fecal matter wastes thereupon while permitting loose litter material to pass therethrough. The sifting device is pivoted still further to deliver the wastes to a disposal site.

Abstract: A litter box assembly for pets includes two identical, stackable litter boxes each having a bottom with a pattern of openings and pointed, raised projections. A track extends around the bottom of each box to hold a plate with defines mating apertures and slides back and forth in the track to, respectively, align the openings and close off the openings. A handle on each box attaches to the plate and may be moved to the open position to allow unclumped litter to flow into the box stacked below. The clumped waste is held off the bottom of the box on the raised projections for disposal by dumping. The lower box containing the filtered litter is moved to the top position of the stack to be ready for use.

Abstract: A litter box includes first and second generally opposed side walls and third and fourth generally opposed side walls. The third and fourth side walls are coupled at opposite ends to the first and second side walls. A bottom closure is connected to the first, second, third and fourth side walls to form a container having an opening. A top closure is foldable to close the opening and foldable to provide an extended wall section extending above the opening.

Abstract: A collapsible animal box which can be conveniently shipped, marketed and discarded in collapsed form is disclosed. The box may contain animal litter and an animal litter container. Preferably, the animal box is constructed from a single cut and scored blank of foldable material. The assembled, fully extended animal box encloses a space sufficiently large to accommodate an animal litter container and at least one animal, and includes a door positioned to permit entry and egress by the animal.

Abstract: A completely disposable litter container for cats and other household pets having a box with a bottom (6), four side walls (2a,b,c,d) and a moisture-impermeable bag (7) secured therein for holding litter material. The bag (7) may be pre-filled with litter material (8) prior to sale or after sale prior to use. An optional cover (3) is provided to fit within the side walls (2a,b,c,d) over the bag (7) to secure the bag in place during shipment and storage. The side walls (2a,b,c,d) of the pet litter container (1) are preferably tapered and slant outward from the bottom (6) of the container so that multiple litter containers can nest within each other and stacked for easy shipping and storage. To use the litter container, after the cover (3) is removed, the bag (7) is opened and folded over the side walls (2a,b,c,d) of the litter box (1). After use when a pet owner desires to dispose of the litter container, the bag can be closed and secured by tightening and tying a drawstring (11) at the top of the bag.

Abstract: A disposable kitty litter box includes a container and fresh kitty litter enclosed within the container. The container is convertible between a closed condition in which it encloses the kitty litter, and an open condition in which it forms an open receptacle for use of the kitty litter. Abstract: An improved animal litter containment and filtering apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a first and second container for holding particulate litter, a coupler for temporarily securing the first container to the second container, and a filter. The second container may be inverted and temporarily secured to the first container utilizing the the coupler with the filter temporarily secured between the first and second containers. The coupler includes a first part secured to an end wall of the first container and a second part secured to an end wall of the second container. The coupler is secured to only the first and second containers, and not to the filter. The first and second parts may be temporarily engaged to temporarily secure the first container to the second container. The filter includes a filter having opposing ends, and an edge engager attached to each of the opposing ends.

Abstract: A lightweight disposable kitty litter box comprises a container which forms a closed receptacle (110) and fresh kitty litter (20) which is enclosed within the closed receptacle (122). The kitty litter (20) comprises a resilient paper product having a density between 0.01 and 0.10 ounces per cubic inch. The container is convertible between a closed condition in which it forms a closed receptacle (110) and an open condition in which it forms an open receptacle (122). To supply a kitty litter box for a cat, the container is converted into the open condition to form the open receptacle to thereby allow the cat access to the fresh kitty litter (20). The cat may then interact with the fresh kitty litter (20) until it reaches a sanitarily unacceptable state. Abstract: A lightweight disposable kitty litter box (10) comprises a container (22) which forms a closed receptacle and fresh kitty litter (20) which is enclosed within the closed receptacle. The kitty litter (20) comprises a resilient paper product having a density between 0.01 and 0.10 ounces per cubic inch. The container (22) is convertible between a closed condition in which it forms said closed receptacle and an open condition in which it forms an open receptacle. To supply a kitty litter box for a cat, the container (22) is converted into the open condition to form the open receptacle to thereby allow the cat access to the fresh kitty litter (20). The cat may then interact with the fresh kitty litter (20) until it reaches a sanitarily unacceptable state. The sanitarily unacceptable kitty litter is then enclosed in the closed receptacle by converting the container (22) into the closed condition. The container (22), and the sanitarily unacceptable kitty litter enclosed therein, may then be disposed as a unit.

Abstract: A portable cat litter box and travel case is disclosed wherein the portable box is comprised of two separate side compartments. One of the side compartments defines the litter box, and the second side defines a compartment within which various items necessary for proper pet care may be stored. The litter box has a substantially air tight sealing member removably secured to the top sidewall around its perimeter. Folding flanges are used to prevent a cat from inadvertently removing litter from the box upon exiting the litter box. Items which may be stored in the travel case include things such as extra food, spare liners for the litter box, a feeding bowl, etc.
