The controller is programmed to inflate the first side airbag and the second side airbag in response to at least detection of a vehicle impact. The controller is programmed to selectively inflate the front airbag in response to at least detection of the vehicle impact and detection of a non-human animal occupant on the seat.

The base is constructed of a single continuous member of foam material that provides structural integrity and of a cover that may encapsulate the foam material, protecting it from various forms of damage. Further, both covers may include a waterproof inner lining to protect the foam material from water damage and non-slip pad to prevent unwanted movement during use. The pet carrier essentially includes a carrier body and a carrier support arrangement for mounting the carrier body on the bicycle's handlebars or the car's seat. The carrier body includes a front door section, a head section, and a base section. The carrier body also includes a built-in handle at the head section enabling a user to carry the pet carrier from one location to another. The front door section is selectively openable and includes a self-locking latch mechanism that self-locks, when a user places the pet inside the pet carrier and closes the front door section. Further, the base section of the pet carrier includes a mounting/dismounting mechanism that allows the carrier body to click or attach onto the carrier support arrangement designed to removably mount the carrier body on to a bicycle's handlebar or a car's seat.

Abstract: An inflatable pet bed for animals which incorporates a method for adjusting the firmness is provided. The inflatable pet bed may have a removable layer which has odor absorbing properties. The odor absorbing layer may be a machine washable carbon absorbing layer. Optional foam support layers may also be included within the interior of the pet bed. An exterior cover may protect the internal layers and may also be machine washable. The product may be compactly stored and transported.

Abstract: An adjustable vehicle pet platform assembly and method of use prevents inadvertent or intentional activation of an air bag sensor incorporated in a seat portion of a vehicle seat by supporting the pet on a platform body. The platform body extends and retracts longitudinally to accommodate variously sized pets. The platform body is suspended in a spaced-apart disposition from the seat portion. A length and angle-adjustable front leg support elevates the platform body above the seat portion from the floor surface of vehicle. An angle-adjustable rear leg support supports the platform body from the rear portion of the seat.

Abstract: An apparatus according to the present invention provides a multiple piece pet bed having gradual depressions for the resting of body parts, and stackable supporting bed floors. The pet bed includes a supporting bed floor. The pet bed includes a detachable soft cover. The pet bed includes a cloth cover. The detachable soft cover and support bed floor may be preferably configured as polygons. A wall of the stackable supporting bed floor is adapted to engage a channel of a detachable soft cover. The multiple piece pet bed is designed to provide for mobility in use, comfort for the occupants, and cost savings in production.

Abstract: A bed for an animal includes a cover/body and a pad/padding material within the cover/body. In a preferred embodiment, the cover/body includes a marine-grade vinyl material. Further, the padding includes a polyethylene terephthalate material and a durable foam material. Preferably, the padding includes three layers: two layers of polyethylene terephthalate material and one layer of durable foam material sandwiched therebetween. The bed for an animal is useful for providing a bed for the animal that is aesthetically pleasing and easily cleanable. In the preferred embodiment, the animal may be a dog.

The support disks each include a series of apertures for allowing the disk to be fastened to a wall or stud. The shelf support brackets include shelf-receiving slots. The hinge-pin is threaded to be screwed into the bracket-receiving disks. The shelves are inserted into the shelf-receiving slots in the shelf-support brackets to create a custom multipurpose shelf design, including for climbing animals such as cats.

Abstract: This is a multi-level outdoor enclosure for cats that mounts through the window and allows the cats access to an outdoor environment. It is designed in such a way that it will fit any sash type window and installs in minutes with no tools needed. The system consists primarily of a frame and two wire cages commonly used for pets. The frame extends through the window and bends 180 degrees so the ends of the frame rest against the interior wall. The other end of the frame forms a “C” shape and the lower end rests against the exterior wall. It also serves to enclose the lower cage securely attached to the frame. Mounted on top of this base cage is a second cage that is level with the window opening and can be moved into the window opening. This upper cage has a “cat flap door” that allows the animals to enter the cage while sealing the HVAC conditions within the room. There is an opening in the upper cage floor that allows the animals to move from one level to the other.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a farming/veterinary device, system, and method for sensing force to analyze the stance of an animal or human to determine lameness and total weight monitoring. The invention is directed to an air cushion device for determining lameness and total weight management for animals with an air cushion for each animal leg which will enable the system to determine the force exerted on each air cushion. Optimally, the air cushion device is waterproof. The system is directed to incorporating the air cushion device with an air supply system and sensor system to automatically determine lameness and total weight in animals. The method is directed to a procedure for using the air cushion system to determine lameness and total weight in animals. Because implementations of the device are waterproof, it is suitable for use in any type of wet or dirty environment.

Abstract: The present invention provides a therapeutic unit to be used for a pet. The therapeutic unit includes one or more therapeutic crystals which provide calming effect for the pet, while also providing healing effect for the pet to mitigate various ailments. The therapeutic unit is implemented in the form of a therapeutic mat for the pet to rest thereon, or a therapeutic vest for the pet to wear for constant exposure to the therapeutic crystals. In the present therapeutic unit, the therapeutic crystals include one or more of an amethyst crystal, a pink rose quartz crystal and a black tourmaline.

Abstract: A pet apparatus that facilitates the movement of a household pet through a pet door opening provided in a door at the head of a stairway leading to a lower level of a building. The invention comprises a rigid platform member engaged with a barrier member, and a support member that is attached to the stairway door to safely redirect the pet to travel in a left or right direction, relative to the pet door opening, to prevent the pet from falling down the stairway. A collapsible embodiment of the invention incorporates foldability. Additional embodiments to the collapsible embodiment include manual, cord, and spring-operated foldability. The device is intended for use in combination with commonly available pet doors.

Abstract: A modular shelving system with a series of shelves, shelf-support brackets, bracket attachment disks, and hinge-pins. The support brackets are hingable. The support disks each include a series of radially disposed apertures and additional apertures for allowing the disk to be fastened to a wall or stud. The shelf support brackets include shelf-receiving slots and a post extending from the bracket that can be inserted into one of the radially disposed apertures. The hinge-pin is threaded to be screwed into the bracket-receiving disks. The shelves are inserted into the shelf-receiving slots in the shelf-support brackets to create a custom climbing shelf design for climbing animals such as cats.

Abstract: A bed for a pet comprises a computer keyboard simulating enclosure having a top side having a plurality of simulated computer keys, a bottom side adapted for laying on a horizontal surface, and a peripheral edge. A heating element is fixed within the enclosure and is adapted to heat at least the top side of the enclosure. A power conduit traversing the enclosure is adapted for connecting the heating element with a power source. The bed further includes pressure-activated switch for activating the heating element, a keyboard sound simulating device, an illumination device, a vibration device, and/or a simulated laptop display projecting away from a rear side of the enclosure.

Abstract: A raised pet bed assembly consisting generally of a main frame having an upper loop and a lower loop connected at a riser sleeve which may include a spring or hinge to allow the upper loop to gently bounce. A soft fabric sling lays into the top loop of the frame and is connected to the frame using loops or other connectors. Loops within the sling could be slid into the frame members of the top loop. A padded insert can be placed into the sling portion for use on cooler days or for additional comfort. These parts can easily be removed for cleaning and would be washable in a commercial clothes washer. A canopy can be placed on wire supports above the fabric sling, and a cover can provide an enclosure within the frame.

The portable pet ramp is an inclined structure that joins the horizontal plane that contains the threshold of the host door with the horizontal plane that contains the threshold of the pet access door. The portable pet ramp attaches the threshold of the pet access door to the horizontal surface that supports the threshold of the host door such that a pet may walk up the portable pet ramp to pass through the pet access door. The portable pet ramp is removably attached to the pet access door such that the host door may be further used for the ingress and egress of humans. The portable pet ramp comprises a plate, one or more brackets, and a slide stop. The one or more brackets and the slide stop attach to the plate.

The top component contains a plurality of differing sized openings. Openings appeal to a pet's predatory nature, as the openings provide a source of stimulation and interaction. The pet enrichment system may be formed of any desired material, so as to be safe for pet interaction. The system may also be configured with a plurality of members attached via semi-permanent fasteners.

The second polyurethane layer has a thickness of about 0.05 to 0.3 inches and a hardness of about 50 to 100 durometers. The pet bed may have a third polyurethane layer bonded to the bottom of the core, the third layer having a thickness of about 0.05 to 0.25 inches and a hardness of about 20 to 100 durometers. The first, second and third layers typically completely encase the core.

The method of using the device includes attaching a pet's favorite object to the tether using the toy holding mechanism such as a double sided single hook and loop or Velcro strap, then hiding the tethered pet object in at least one of the pockets. The support layer is substantially bonded to the bottom side of the temperature regulation layer and is comprised of material sufficiently pliable to deform and sufficiently rigid to withstand collapse in response to the weight of the object.
