Abstract: A pet bed (10) that is foldable to a compact configuration when not in use. When it is desired to use the pet bed (10), the pet bed is folded to an extended configuration in which a sleeping surface (14) is extended horizontally and a frame (12) spaces the sleeping surface from the floor. The frame (12) for the pet bed (10) includes one or more stops (40) to prevent collapsing of the frame when the pet bed is in the extended configuration. The stops (40) release as the pet bed is folded back into the storage configuration.

Abstract: A pet impact protector is disclosed. This device is directed to a cleanable, removable device for a vehicle car seat comprising a contiguous pliable material having a pet seating area and a pet capture area. The pet impact protector is designed such that the force of the pet impact protector plus the pet, upon impact with the vehicle during a stop or slowing of the vehicle, causes the pet impact protector to partially collapse and form a protective impact area around the pet. This device is directed to the reduction of injury to a pet riding in a vehicle during an accident, stop or slowdown of the vehicle.

Abstract: An improved pet bed assembly includes a water resistant outer cover defining an enclosed space and a removable blanket that is removably attached to the exterior of the outer cover. The removable blanket is preferably constructed so as to be completely removable from the outer cover for washing and replacement and is further preferably constructed so as to be reversible, with an attachment mechanism that permits it to be secured to the outer cover with either surface facing the pet. An inner bed assembly is positioned within the enclosed space that preferably includes a perimeter bolster portion and an interior cushion portion. The perimeter bolster cushion has a greater height than the interior cushion portion and its uncompressed state and is less compressible than the interior cushion.

Abstract: A pet co-sleeper is designed to be connected to a human's bed for use by small to medium sized animals. Pets such as dogs and cats can use this sleeper to sleep beside their owners instead on of the bed. The pet co-sleeper has a frame which is substantially rectangular in shape. The frame has three horizontal bars forming a three-sided top frame and a fourth horizontal bar on the fourth side is lower than the other three horizontal bars. Fabric materials attached to the frame form a floor, four side walls and a horizontal divider located just below the fourth horizontal bar. A first mattress is placed over the horizontal divider to form a sleeping surface. A second mattress is placed on the fabric floor, such that the four side walls, the second mattress and the horizontal divider form a pet house.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a pet bed configured to transfer heat from a pet to a support structure. The pet bed may include at least one pad defining an internal chamber, and a batting secured within the at least one pad. The batting allows water within the internal chamber to easily flow therethrough so that heat is transferred away from the pet through convection and conduction.

The integrated pet environment will consist of two pet care units, one located behind the driver's seat and the other located behind the passenger's seat. The driver's seat unit will have storage for pet supplies, and will have a gate which the driver can easily reach with one hand while driving to close off his/her seat, preventing the dog from disturbing him/her while he/she is driving. The passenger's seat unit will have more storage plus a ramp for the dog. The passenger's seat itself will fold all the way down forward and will provide a seat for the dog, accessible from the back of the truck, which will not allow the dog to reach the driver. One of the two storage units will also have food and water dishes.

Abstract: A system and method for displaying a pet bed at a point of sale location is provided including a display unit for displaying a plurality of mattresses having different volumes and differently sized covers corresponding to the different volume mattresses. The mattresses are preferably displayed at the point of sale location restrained in a compressed state having a reduced volume compared to the expanded state, which preferably reduces the amount of space occupied for the display unit. Furthermore, the variety of sizes of the mattresses and designs of the covers can facilitate a user personalizing the pet bed according to the user's preferences.

Abstract: A portable pet booster seat apparatus is provided which is adapted to be fitted securely on the seat of a vehicle. The booster seat includes a base, a back, a front and side portions that are all interconnected. A strap is provided that extends across the back and/or base of the includes a base portion which includes attachment fittings that are adapted to be fitted to the attachment brackets of a LATCH infant seat device. The booster seat apparatus may also include an additional strap for use in attaching the device to vehicle seats not fitted with the LATCH device. The portable pet booster seat apparatus may also include a removable and replaceable cover assembly. The booster seat apparatus is attached to the seat at or near the base of the booster seat, and thus has improved stability. It can also be more firmly attached to the vehicle seat and is less likely to move or shift during use.

Abstract: An animal bedding mixture is disclosed herein. The animal bedding mixture includes a bedding material and a bedding material additive. Bedding material is preferably straw, sawdust, sand or recycled manure solids. The bedding material additive is preferably 60-99% by weight absorbent clay powder, 0.1 to 35% by weight chlorite salt, and 0.01-35% by weight sodium bisulfate or sodium percarbonate. The bedding material additive of the present disclosure is inert when dry and neither germicidal or acidic. However, when the additive is exposed to moisture, such as animal urine, the sodium bisulfate will acidify the liquid, causing the formation of hypochlorous acid and chlorine dioxide. Hypochlorous acid and chlorine dioxide are very powerful, broad spectrum germicides that have proven efficacy against E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and other micro-organisms commonly found in animal bedding.

Abstract: A pet carrier which may be stably held within the interior of a vehicle. The carrier includes two hangers separated by one or more reinforcement members, a pet bin member into which a pet may be placed, and a support member. In a preferred use of the carrier, one of the hangers is placeable over the top and back of one seat of a vehicle, such as the driver's seat of the vehicle, and the other hanger is placeable over the top and back of another vehicle seat, such as the front passenger seat of the vehicle, and the support member is contactable with a surface of the vehicle, such as its floor, to stabilize the carrier. The distance between the hangers is selectable to allow the carrier to be stably placed upon seats of varying separation.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile pet bed wherein the top and bottom units of the mobile pet bed are reversibly attached to each other. When the top unit is removed from the bottom unit the mobile pet bed functions similarly to a traditional pet bed. When the top unit us attached to the bottom unit the mobile pet bed functions as a pet carrier. Additionally, the top unit of the mobile pet bed has a door portion that can be opened and closed to permit pet ingress and egress as well as permitting easy loading of the mobile pet bed with the animal without necessitating the removal of the top unit from the bottom unit.

The pet is contained in a soft flexible blanket type device that is closed over the animal in such a way that only the head is exposed. The restraint is secured by the use of an attachment means. The device has a built in bottom that prevents escape and allows for fast, easy, one step wrapping of the pet. When not in use, it serves as a bed for the pet which makes it a familiar object to the pet, thus facilitating the process of using the device as a restraint when necessary.

Abstract: A covered pet bed comprising an extended padded bottom covered in a soft reversible fabric with a permanently attached cover member that is fronted by a self-formed tube filled with batting which keeps the cover member lifted and allows access under the cover member by the pet. The padded bottom extends out past the cover member and has a permanently attached pillow. The pillow is shaped to compliment the pet for which the covered pet bed is intended, and the pillow may be embroidered with the pet's name. The covered pet bed is reversible and fully machine washable and dryable.

Abstract: A device is described that provides a stabilizing platform for a domestic pet animal that contributes to the safety of the animal when it occupies the interior of a motor vehicle. The stabilizing platform can be placed on the interior side wall panel which contains a window in a motor vehicle, thereby allowing the pet to place its feet on the top surface of the platform so that the pet can look out the window or place its head out a partially opened window while increasing the pet's stability and safety. Furthermore, the use of the stabilizing platform aids in the safety and comfort of the motorist and passengers.

A spring-loaded clamp bracket enables secure and stable clamp-on frame mounting onto a sill or the like of an open window, whereupon articulated frame components accommodate quick and easy deployment to an erected configuration. When erected, the foldable canopy is stretched over the frame to define a pet enclosure at the outboard side of the window with an access opening for pet ingress/egress from an inboard side of the window. A wall-mounted cat perch and walkway system may be used in combination with the window-mounted pet enclosure.

Abstract: An animal furniture bed having one side open to allow for storing of objects in an area of the bed below the sleeping surface. The bottom of that open side has a lip element that extends the complete length of that side to prevent objects from rolling out of the furniture bed. Lips can also extend upward from each side to create an area in which to place a sleeping pad for an animal. The pad serves as the animal bed.

The cushion features a liquid permeable outer layer and a super-absorbent inner layer, to keep the animal dry, even if it urinates. The cushion includes a rigid element which is cushioned and insulating. This rigid element, in the interior region of the cushion, keeps the cushion from bunching up, and provides a comfortable place for the animal to sit. The cushion also has a flexible peripheral region, which allows the cushion to be used in a variety of carriers with similar, but not identical, dimensions, and provides a comfortable nest-like effect.
