Abstract: A pet kennel operable between a use position and a nested position. The pet kennel contains an upper portion having a top wall, a front wall, a rear wall, a first sidewall, a second sidewall and a bottom opening located opposite the top wall. The front wall, rear wall and sidewalls form a lip adjacent the bottom opening. The lower portion contains a bottom wall, a front wall, a rear wall, a first sidewall, a second sidewall and an upper opening located opposite the bottom wall. A rim is formed adjacent the upper opening by the first wall, rear wall and the sidewalls. While in the use position, the upper portion lip is mated with the lower portion rim so that the top wall is spaced apart the bottom to form the pet containment area. In the nested position, the upper portion lip mated with the lower portion rim such that the top wall is located adjacent the bottom wall.

Abstract: A collapsible tent 100 for housing a pet which folds into a storage bag when not in use. The design and structure is as follows of the tent includes a main body 1, front 2 and back 3 panels. The frame of the front 2 and back 3 panels are in the “upside down U” (dome) shape; the top and sides of the front 2 and back 3 panels are connected to the main body 1 with zippers 102, 104; the bottom of the front 2 and back 3 panels are sewn to the main body 1. Mesh windows 11 are on the sides of the main body 1. Shades 12 are also provided on the outside of the windows. The bottom of the two sides of the main body 1 are harnessed with webbing loops 14. A webbing handle 15 is sewn on the upper portion of the main body 1 (i.e., along the peak of the U-shaped dome). There is an opening 21 on the front panel that allows ingress and egress. A shade 22 covers up the opening 21; the shade 22 is in mesh material.

At the fold of the shell are sealable containers adapted to hold food and water releasibly affixed to a spine, which also provides support to the fabric shell. The fabric shell further includes handles or straps and closure for convenient carrying.

Abstract: A small animal carrying device incorporating a pouch section with a padded bottom. The pouch is closed by a drawstring and a harness assembly using padded crossover straps secures the device around the carrier's shoulders. An additional strap at the bottom of the pouch secures the device around the carrier's waist or lower torso. It can be worn in the front and back positions and contains a side pocket for carrying a leash or other accessories.

Abstract: Animal owners frequently find themselves in a position of needing to transport their pets, either by auto or by commercial carrier, using a portable kennel. During cold weather, confinement in such a kennel offers the animal little protection against the cold. Additionally, the confining nature of such kennels gives an animal little opportunity to move around to generate the body heat necessary to stay warm. The present invention is an insulated cloth cover for a portable kennel which provides full insulation of all side, top and bottom, such that an animal can be shipped during cold weather without concerns about exposure to the cold.

The pet carrier comprises a carrier bottom, a cover, and a plurality of fastening devices for attaching the cover to the carrier bottom. The carrier bottom has a flat surface, a straight wall, and a curved wall. The cover of a preferred embodiment preferably has a hemispheric shape. The cover further comprises a handle and at least one air vent. In one embodiment, a hinge is provided along the top of the straight wall to join the cover. In another embodiment, the hinge is removable, such that the cover may be completely separated from the carrier bottom. In still another embodiment, the pet carrier further comprises a padded mat that rests on the flat surface. The padded mat is preferably removable and machine-washable.

The sling portion may be disposed under the chest of the animal in the case of debilitated front legs, or under the abdomen in the case of debilitated hind legs, and the handle grips grasped by a human user to help support or lift the pet. The invention is particularly useful for assisting a convalescent pet to take beneficial walks without having to bear full weight on injured limbs or hips. A version of the device is disclosed which may be adjusted in length to accommodate the size of the animal and the height of the user.

Handles built-into the top and bottom surfaces permit either the erected kennel or the collapsed kennel to be transported. The endwalls are foldable onto the bottom, with the sidewalls foldable around the endwalls, allowing the straps to hold the bundle together when not in use. The carrier can be quickly assembled by pivoting the endwalls upwardly and fastening them to the sidewalls and securing the handles to each other. An optional storage pouch can be incorporated into the handle system and various windows in the side or endwalls can be provided to facilitate ventilation.

The end plate is fastened with one end of the two side plates, whereas the door plate is fastened with another end of the two side plates. The pet cage can be disassembled to facilitate the shipping of the pet cage and made thinner for easy storage.

Abstract: A new slip cover for a pet carrier for helping prevent drafts while transporting an animal within a pet carrier. The inventive device includes a cover member having a top panel with front, back, and a pair of spaced apart side panels downwardly depending from the outer perimeter of the top panel. The front panel is spaced apart from the back panel with the side panels extending between the front and back panels to form an interior cavity. The front, back, and side panels each have a top region and a bottom edge which together define a lower opening into the interior cavity for permitting insertion of a pet carrier into the interior cavity. The front panel has a cutout extending from the bottom edge of the front panel towards the top region of front panel for providing a front opening into the interior cavity.

Abstract: A portable game animal storage unit, particularly adapted for use in storing, transporting and preserving game animals, is defined by an enclosure sized to house a harvested game animal. For instance, for deer hunting, the enclosure is designed to be approximately eight (8) feet tall, three (3) feet wide and two (2) feet deep. At least one of the panels is provided with a reclosable opening for accessing an internal cavity of the enclosure in order to place the harvested animal within the enclosure and to remove the animal therefrom. Various handles are provided externally of the enclosure for use in carrying the storage unit between desired locations. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, the storage unit is defined by a pliable bag which can be refrigerated in order to maintain the meat of the animal within a desired temperature range for aging and preservation purposes. A fine screen mesh is used to form part of the bag when enhanced ventilation is desired.

The overhead entrance cover slopes downward and away from the entrance opening. A pair of lateral entrance covers are connected to the entrance-containing wall adjacent to the entrance opening.

Abstract: The pet carrier is a housing having a rigid bottom panel enclosed in a bottom cover which is attached to a plastic mesh which is shaped to form the pet carrier sides and top. The plastic mesh is attached to inverted U shaped rigid frame members which hold the shape of the sides and top as well as provide structural support to protect the pet being transported. The pet carrier has a rear end panel and door of plastic mesh to complete the enclosure. The door is attached to the sides and top by two zippers. The top has a rigid top bar which is attached to the frame members and to which a carry handle is attached. The pet carrier also has two coupling rings attached to the top to which a shoulder strap may be attached. Coupling rings may also be attached to a side on a frame member for use in attachment to other items such as the seat belt of an automobile. There is provision for a tray and absorbent pad in the bottom of the pet carrier for hygiene as well as a cover to protect the pet from the environment.
