Abstract: A wrist brace device has a splint member including an arm portion for support along an inner forearm of a user, and a palm portion for supporting a palm on a palm supporting surface of the palm portion which is oriented generally in the direction of the arm portion to prevent overextension of the hand of the user relative to the forearm. A tool receiving surface is provided on the palm portion opposite from the palm supporting surface for engaging a handle of a tool thereon such that impacts from a tool head of the tool are directed substantially perpendicularly to the upper palm supporting surface and the arm portion of the user.

Abstract: A plurality of skin-contacting instruments for the manipulation of soft tissue adhesions are disclosed. Each of the instruments comprises a plurality of curvilinear edge surfaces having different radii for contacting the skin in a plurality of locations.

Abstract: A glove has a separate finger section, a separate palm section, and a separate thumb section. The glove has a plurality of separate substrate sheets. Each substrate sheet has top and bottom surfaces. The separate finger section and the separate thumb section and the separate palm section adhesively receive and support at least one substrate sheet. A plurality of sticks are attached to each substrate sheet. A plurality of hooks are attached to each substrate sheet. The sticks are arched and the hooks are in an inverted J-shaped configuration.

Abstract: Disclosed is a rotary brush for use in grooming a pet, such as a dog or cat. The brush includes a handle to which a head is rotatably mounted. The head preferably includes a series of channels that accepted elongated rows of tines. The tines can be formed in any of a variety of shapes or arrangements to facilitate proper grooming. A skin guard can also be included to prevent the tines from damaging the pet's skin. An accumulator is secured to the handle and is interdigitated with the series of upstanding tines. In this manner, the accumulator collects hair gathered by the tines.

Abstract: An automatic cleaning and hair-removing slanted brush contains: a bristle holder, a comb plate and a reciprocating moving plunger. The bristle holder includes a fixed bristle surface and an opposite back side. The comb plate includes a row of bristle holes corresponding to the bristles. The middle part of the bristle holder includes through holes. The comb plate has connecting rods parallel to the bristles. Each connecting rod has a first buckle structure. The ends of the connecting rods are attached to the second buckle structures on the reciprocating moving plunger after passing through the through holes, so the reciprocating moving plunger and the comb plate are fixed. The bristles of the automatic cleaning and hair-removing slant brush are fixed on a slanted angle to the fixed bristle surface. The bristles have an inclined angle with the fixed bristle surface, so that its strength when brushing pet hairs is re-enforced.

Abstract: A grooming tool comprises a blade and a solid wooden handle, wherein said blade is contained within the solid wooden handle. The blade of the grooming tool may be a bi-metal blade, wherein said blade is pressure fitted into a slot in the solid wooden handle. The blade of the grooming tool may be a rubber blade that is permanently attached to said solid wooden handle by insertion of epoxy into said slot in said solid wooden handle.

Abstract: A pet brush has an outwardly curved brush section integrally connected to a handle section. The brush section has bristles extending from the pet brush on the outward curve. The handle section extends inward from one end of the pet brush. The handle section has a spacer element and a gripping element. Two or three fingers of the user can grip the upper surface of the gripping element while the first digits of the two or three fingers will curl under to grip the lower surface of the gripping element. The spacer element provides enough space for the first digits of the two or three fingers to fit under the gripping element and above the brush section. The outwardly curved brush section has a first radius of curvature at one end and a smaller, second radius of curvature at the handle section, second end.

Abstract: A hair grooming tool including a housing defining a cavity and including a grooming end, a vibratory motor assembly positioned within the cavity and configured to vibrate the housing, and a pet-engaging member coupled to the housing at the grooming end. Vibration of the housing enables constant motion of the hair tool and movement of the pet-engaging member as the pet-engaging member is pulled through hair to remove loose hair without cutting the hair.

The hub is provided at a connecting portion of the bristle member and the handle so that the ring may be rotated. The ring may be shifted between a first position and a second position. The bristle member is secured to the handle when the ring is moved to the first position, and the bristle member is free to be inserted into and drawn out of the handle when the ring is moved to the second position.

Abstract: This is a tool for grooming livestock, horses in particular. This invention is comprised of a broom-head equipped with multiple flexible rake tines along its top edge, the tine heads facing 180 degrees opposite to the bristle ends. The broom-head is fitted with a threaded hole that allows a solid or telescoping handle to be attached. The telescoping handle is similar to handles found on commercially available floor mops. It can be extended or retracted longitudinally, and can be locked in place at any point along its length. The handle can be equipped with one or more grips to provide a comfortable, secure hand-hold for the user. The user selects the desired head (bristles or tines) by rotating the handle 180 degrees.

Abstract: A tool for use in grooming an animal. The tool includes a handle with a gripping portion that is pivotable and lockable into a plurality of fixed angular positions relative to a shedding blade that is configured as a loop and is attached to a distal end of the handle. In one variation, the gripping portion may be pivoted to a variety of positions, including to a position within the loop to facilitate transport and storage. Thus, a user can adjust a setting angle of the comb head relative to the grip by means of the engagement of one of the first coupling portions of the grip with the second coupling portion of the comb head, thereby enhancing convenience of use.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an ergonomic brush includes a handle grip with finger slots situated between thumb slots and a palm rest extending rearwardly from the finger slots. The grooming portion preferably includes a plurality of tines arranged in first and second rows such that the first row of tines is vertically separated from the second row of tines. In addition, each of the first and second row of tines preferably includes alternating first and second tines, wherein the first tines have a longer length than the second tines. Moreover, preferably, the longer first tines and the shorter second tines in the first row of tines alternate compared to the longer first tines and the shorter second tines in the second row of tines. The first and second row of tines may also include different radii of curvatures, tapered outer diameters, etc. Moreover, in another preferred embodiment of the grooming tool, the tool may including a raking portion to dislodge the hair or fur from the grooming portion.

The equine hoof rasp has an elongated peanut-shaped handle with a front end and a rear end. The rear end is larger than the front end. The handle has a V-shaped cutout extending from the rear end to the front end. The V-shaped cutout forms a concave middle for mounting a pair of rasps at an angle. To hold the rasps, there is a pair of congruent retaining shields. The shields form an open rectangular middle section. The open rectangular middle section frames the rasps when the rasps are mounted in the peanut-shaped handle.

Abstract: A grip for a pet grooming comb includes a head portion, a body portion, a concavity at at least one of top and bottom sides of the head portion for accommodation of a user's thumb or forefinger, and two opposite curved surfaces at a junction of the head portion and the body portion to be nestled by a part of the user's hand between the thumb and the forefinger. Thus, the grip of the present invention has an ergonomic design to be operated effortlessly.

Abstract: An article for removing dead hair from animals includes a handle and a shedding blade that is attached to the handle. The shedding blade includes a flexible, elongated member having at least one serrated edge. Advantageously, structure is provided to permit adjustment of the length of the shedding blade. This permits a consumer to select the proper blade size for the animal that is being groomed. Additionally, the article is constructed and arranged so that the flexible, elongated member may be at least partially retracted into the handle for storage purposes.
