Abstract: An animal control pole has a first end adapted to be held by a user, and a second end adapted to ensnare and assist in the control of an animal. The pole has an axial bore extending therethrough and a cable that extends through the axial bore and extends from each end of the pole. A retaining element is located at the second end of the pole and retains the free end of the cable that extends from the second end, so as to form a closed animal engageable adjustable loop. The animal control pole includes dual release mechanisms. A first release mechanism releases the free end of the cable that extends through the second end of the pole. A second release mechanism forces an additional length of cable through the axial bore of the second end and thereby increases the size of the loop.

Abstract: An extendible lead with an integrated excrement collector, with the lead including a casing with a collection drum. The excrement collector includes a tubular body having telescopic sections and having a flexible wire inside. One end of the wire is disposed in an opening of the tubular body and forms a lasso. A second end of the wire extends through the tubular body and out of the other end of the body and is connected to a handle.
Abstract: A plastic coated steel cable loop (20) is placed over the snake's head and the loop is tightened around the snake's neck. The loop (20) is on the end of a polyvinyl chloride pipe (24) which is about five feet long. The pipe has a smaller pipe (25) inside, which can be moved in and out controlling the size of the loop (20). The operator has control of the captured snake without entering the striking range of the snake. The snake catcher is made of low cost, weather resistant materials and can be stored outside where it can be quickly accessed when needed.
Abstract: A pet collar device (100) incorporates a body (117) and a reciprocating plunger (109) extending through the body. A flexible band (101), attached to one end of the plunger, extends from the body when a knob (111) of the plunger is depressed by a palm or thumb of a hand and the fingers of the same hand engage finger grips (123) on the body. The extended band allows placement over the head of a pet. Release of the plunger by the hand allows a bias spring (127) to bias the plunger in the opposite direction, retracting the flexible band into the body and securing the collar device about the neck of the animal. The collar device allows quick and simple one-handed engagement of the collar device on the animal.
Abstract: An animal twitch (10) including a flexible loop (20) secured to an incremental retracting bar (12) contained within a casing (16) which is activated by a grip handle (30). The grip handle (30), when activated, incrementally pulls the retracting bar (12) downward within the casing (16) and reduces the size of the opening of the flexible loop (20). By pulling on a release bar (46) the size of the opening of the flexible loop (20) can be enlarged.
Abstract: A hog holding apparatus is provided with a loop formed at an end of a rigid elongated tube. The tube is hollow and a rod is slidably positioned within the tube and is attached to one end of the rope that forms the loop. The other end of the rope is secured to a flange formed at the end of the tube. The rod extends through a locking plate that is captured within a j-shaped flange positioned at the opposite end of the tube. The locking plate is spring-biased toward a locked position that binds against the rod prevents further extension of the rod within the tube, which would cause a corresponding increase in the size of the loop. The locking plate may be released by pulling on the rod or by manually manipulating the locking plate to overcome the biasing force. A roughened or threaded surface on the rod reduces slippage of the rod against the locking plate when the locking plate is in the locked position.
Abstract: A bait loading arrangement including a yoke member in which an extensible loop is drawn tightly over the head end of a bait fish consisting of an eel that is being held in a bait container to enclose the neck of an eel to effectively provide for immobilizing the bait fish, typically by remotely holding the bait by a yoke member to allow the handler to manipulate the eel for loading onto a conventional curved barb fish hook, thereafter to be released, all without manually handling the slimy skin of the eel.
Abstract: A retractable wire removal device for capturing wire cable and the like which is being run through walls or other enclosed spaces. The device comprises a flexible "tape" which forms a loop within a wall. Once the wire cable or other material is positioned within the loop, the tape is retracted, thus capturing the wire within it. The device along with the wire is then removed from the wall at the same time.
