Patent number: 10368702Abstract: A method of reducing sheet product waste generated during use of a sheet product dispenser in a particular location and over a broad range of usage rates includes designing a dispenser. The design includes determining a desired housing size to obtain a top to bottom height for sheet product roll storage within the housing, dividing the height by two to obtain a maximum roll diameter, locating two roll holders in the housing so that each holder may accept a roll having the maximum roll diameter, positioning a first roll of the maximum roll diameter in a first one of the two roll holders, and positioning a second roll of the maximum roll diameter in a second one of the two roll holders so that two rolls of equivalent length are configured to be dispensed sequentially from the dispenser. The installation and use of two rolls of maximum roll diameter reduces waste. Dispensers formed according to this method are also described.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2018Date of Patent: August 6, 2019Assignee: GPCP IP HOLDINGS LLCInventors: Paul James Ruthven, Lisa Hedden

Patent number: 9814487Abstract: A puncture needle includes a needle tube 1 provided with a spiral groove 3 and wall surfaces 3a and 3b of the spiral groove 3 serve as a surface for reflecting ultrasonic waves. The spiral groove is formed on the peripheral surface of the needle tube such that a grinding stone 2 is brought into contact with the peripheral surface of the needle tube while the needle tube 1 is being moved in its axial direction and rotated. The wall surfaces of the spiral groove formed on the needle tube serve as a reflection surface to change the orientation of the reflection surface in the axial direction of the needle tube according to change in position of the spiral. Therefore, even if a direction in which an ultrasonic wave is applied to the puncture needle is fixed, any portion of the reflection surface changing in orientation can become a surface for reflecting well ultrasonic waves, so that good ultrasonic waves can be obtained.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2012Date of Patent: November 14, 2017Assignee: NIPRO CORPORATIONInventors: Yoshiharu Iwase, Yutaka Eizumi, Kenji Kurokawa

Patent number: 9408505Abstract: The machine includes a housing receiving an articulated cover closed by raising it and a module which accommodates a pre-cut wound strip of material. The module has a flap located opposite the inner face of the cover and articulated relative to the module, and a device enabling pulling on the end of the strip. The module enables positioning and articulation of the flap, and includes a support plate for the device. The device includes a vertically arranged pusher which slides in a controlled, limited manner relative to a face of the support plate. The pusher has a lower gripping and contact part and an upper end that forms a cam. A roller of the device cooperates with the upper end of the pusher. The pusher cooperates with the flap. The device acts on the flap to ensure its rearward swivelling to allow un-jamming and strip emergence from the machine.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2011Date of Patent: August 9, 2016Inventor: Maurice Granger

Patent number: 6994081Abstract: A casted concrete block surface-roughing machine having an in-line conveyor displaceable over a stationary horizontal support surface for slidingly supporting a lower surface of concrete blocks displaced thereon by the conveyor. At least two pairs of spaced-apart vertically supported conveyor belts are disposed to engage opposed side faces of the concrete blocks to displace them along the stationary horizontal support surface. One of the pairs of the conveyor belts engages the opposed side faces in a lower surface section thereof to expose an upper surface section thereof to be abraded by respective surface abrading devices. The other of the pairs of conveyor belts engage the opposed side faces in the upper surface section of the concrete block to expose the lower surface section thereof to be abraded by further respective surfaces abrading devices.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2004Date of Patent: February 7, 2006Assignee: Techo-Bloc Inc.Inventors: Hans Pedersen, Charles Ciccarello
