Abstract: The invention relates to a door provided with a gas burner on the inner surface thereof and with a system for carrying a combustible gas to the burner on the outer surface thereof, and which can be inserted and attached into a frame of a wall of the device (AC); the door comprises a pair of metal sheets rigidly connected to one another at the edges thereof, with input openings and output openings for the gas mixture, respectively, and which are mutually separated, in order to leave an inner space receiving a deflector plate serving as a thermal shield to be swept over on either side by the flow of the gas mixture supplying the burner. Said arrangement reduces heat loss through the door, making it possible to keep the outer surface cold, thus also avoiding the risk of burns, while at the same time preheating the gas mixture. The invention can be used in heating appliances.

  • Patent number: 8042532
Abstract: A heat-cooking apparatus includes blowing means (100) that blows cooling air to an opening (20a) of a heating chamber (20) when a door (11) is opened after steam is supplied to the heating chamber (20) for preparatory operation before heat-cooking or for heat-cooking itself. More specifically, after steam is supplied to the heating chamber (20), when the door (11) is opened, the blowing means (100) drives a conventionally existing cooling fan (101) to suck in cooling air from outside the apparatus, and deflects the cooling air toward the opening (20a) of the heating chamber (20) with a decoration box (102) so that the cooling air is blown to the opening (20a) so as to pass sideways substantially across it. Thus, the cooling air mixes with high-temperature steam that tends to overflow frontward as soon as the door (11) is opened, and thereby lowers the temperature of the steam. This surely prevents the user from being hurt, as by being burnt, with the overflowing steam.

Abstract: An oven is provided. The oven includes a housing defining an internal cooking volume defined by a plurality of side walls, a front wall, and a bottom wall and a source of heat disposed in conjunction with the cooking volume. First and second doors are pivotably mounted to the front wall, each door is disposed proximate to opposite side walls of the housing, the first and second doors are pivotable between a first position to allow access to the cooking volume through an aperture in the front wall and a second position to enclose the cooking volume. A straight and elongate first gasket is disposed upon one of the first or second doors such that the gasket engages the other of the first and second doors when the doors are in the second position, the first gasket forms a seal between an elongate interface between the first and second doors when in the second position.

Abstract: Door packing (35) having a base (36), a first lip (37), and a second lip (38) is stretched around periphery of a back surface cover (31) of a door (30). When the door (30) is closed, the second lip (38) is inserted into a heating chamber (22), the first lip (37) pivots in directions of arrows (A) once an extremity of the first lip (37) comes into contact with a front face panel (40), and an extremity of the second lip (38) is then brought into close contact with inner wall surfaces of the heating chamber (22). Thus both the front face panel (40) and the inner wall surfaces of the heating chamber (22) are sealed, so that smoke, steam and the like produced by objects to be heated are reliably prevented from leaking out of the heating chamber (22).

Abstract: A cooking appliance includes first and second French-style doors connected through a door linkage system. The door linkage system includes first and second control arms, each including a first end linked to a corresponding one of the first and second doors and a second end. The second ends of the first and second control arms are interconnected and mounted so as to travel in an arcuate path when one of the doors is operated. Shifting one of the first and second doors in an open or closed direction results in a corresponding movement in the other door. The first and second control arms are actually interconnected to a linkage control arm that establishes a particular timing of the doors. The door linkage system also employs a camming surface, cam follower and spring element that provides a biasing force to the doors.

  • Patent number: 7793650
Abstract: When a user manually opens/closes the door of the drawer-type heating cooker, a pulse generation means attached to an electric motor generates pulses for counting the number of revolutions. A determination means determines whether the door is opened/closed manually or not on the basis of detection of the pulses. A prediction means predicts whether the manual operation is door opening or door closing in response to the status of position detection switches for detecting the position of the door. A motor control means decides the rotation direction of the electric motor in accordance with the prediction by the prediction means and controls the rotation of the electric motor on the basis of the decision. Hence the burden of door opening/closing operation is alleviated with the help of the driving force of the electric motor even when both hands of the user are occupied.

Abstract: The transparent coating for one or more display areas of a glass or glass-ceramic plate is made by a process using a sol-gel paint containing alkyl silicates as binding agents. The transparent coating is provided on areas of the glass or glass-ceramic plate that have been left uncoated by a color-imparting opaque coating and is formed by applying the sol-gel paint to the areas left open and then thermally treating the sol-gel paint so as to cross-link reactive groups of the alkyl silicates. The coating has organic, non-hydrolyzable groups bound directly to silicon. A process for making the coating and the uses of the coated glass or glass-ceramic plate are part of the invention.
