Abstract: The present device relates to a sealing device for an oven door. A groove or channel (2g) is formed on the door case (2) of the oven (1), and a sealing gasket (P) is attached to an interior surface of the groove or channel (2g). An extrusion (3t) is formed on the frame (3f) of the door (3), aligned for insertion into the groove (2g). Therefore, if the door (3) is closed, the extrusion, (3t) formed on the frame (3f) of the door (3) is inserted into the groove or channel (2g) coming in firm elastic contact with the gasket (P) and sealing the oven firmly. Sealing contact is maintained between the oven door (3) and door case (2), while protecting the gasket (P) from damage.

Abstract: An oven provided with a main body forming an oven compartment, and a door in contact with the main body to open and close the main body, the door including: an inner cover facing the oven compartment having an opening to show the interior of the oven compartment; a transparent window in the opening of the inner cover; and a supporting member supporting the transparent window against the inner cover, wherein a window accommodating part is extended toward the inside of the oven compartment from the periphery of the opening for accommodating the transparent window. Thus, a fixing means such as a jig and liquid sealant used for providing the transparent window to the door of the conventional oven are not necessary in the oven according to the present invention. Therefore, assembling the oven can be simplified, thereby enhancing productivity.

Abstract: An oven door includes a transparent zone defined by a window pack and an additional piece of glass arranged in front of the window pack. Specifically, the additional piece of glass is mounted at an angle to the panes of the window pack, with the angled glass diverging farther from the window pack at an upper section than at a lower section. Through mounting the angled piece of glass in the door as set forth above, a chimney effect is established for heat conducted through the door such that an attainable temperature at a front surface of the door is significantly reduced.

Abstract: A microwave oven includes a cooking chamber having opening and a door which selectively opens and closes the opening of the cooking chamber. The door includes a frame which is constructed to form a circumferential edge of the door and be brought into contact with a rim of the opening, and a see-through member adapted to correspond to the opening of the cooking chamber. The see-through member is projected forward so as to allow a user to observe the interior of the cooking chamber from a variety of viewing locations or angles. Furthermore, air feed holes and air discharge holes are formed near the door so as to prevent moisture of food from condensing on the see-through member.

  • Patent number: 6735906
Abstract: A warp resistant fuel feed door assembly for use in injecting supplemental fuel into a high temperature combustion chamber such as a rotating cement kiln without substantial loss of heat or combustion gases. The apparatus, which is positioned on the exterior side of a fuel passage transecting the wall of a rotating kiln, opens to receive fuel and then seals during the balance of the rotation of the kiln. Warping, bearing fracture, shaft distortion and jamming due to exposure to extreme heat and cooling are minimized by the sectional construction of the doors. The door includes a plate positioned over the mouth of the passage, a plurality of support arms attached to the plate and a hinge shaft attached to the arms. Stresses on the door structure from inconsistent expansion of the plate are reduced due to symmetrically spaced oblong and oversized bolt attachment bores in the support arms. Synchronous opening of the feed doors is achieved by levered rotation of the hinge shafts by an electric motor.

Abstract: There is now provided an electric stove with an electric stove body having an exterior comprising side walls, a top, and a bottom spaced from said top. The top has a an exterior top surface on which are disposed a plurality of electric heating elements. The electric heating elements of the top surface are controllable by control apparatus to provide heat sufficient to cook food in cooking utensils, upon such cooking utensils being placed with their bottom on a corresponding electric heating element. The electric heating elements and their corresponding control apparatus are connected by electric circuitry such that the heat produced by the electric heating elements can be set at a desired temperature for cooking food. Electric heating arrangements are also found in the stove. These heating arrangements are connected by electric circuitry to control apparatus so as to permit selection of a cooking temperature in the electric stove.

  • Patent number: 6686574
Abstract: A microwave oven includes two doors which primarily and secondarily prevent a leakage of microwaves from a cooking cavity during a cooking operation. A first door is rotatably hinged to a front wall of a cabinet of the microwave oven, so as to open and close an opening of the cooking cavity and primarily prevent the leakage of the microwaves from the cooking cavity. A second door is rotatably mounted to the cabinet in front of the first door to cover and uncover the front of the first door. The second door thus secondarily intercepts the microwaves which have leaked from the cooking cavity through a gap between the first door and the cabinet. The microwave oven effectively prevents almost all leakage of the microwaves from the cooking cavity during the cooking operation.

Abstract: A baking oven includes a seal located between the baking oven muffle flange and the baking oven door. The seal has chambers. The chambers have an elastic lip-like lateral wall, are aligned in a direction toward the adjacent door walls and muffle flange walls, and are open on a side facing away from the seal fastening. When the door is in a closed position, the free lateral walls of the seal rest against and are deflected outward on the door or on the muffle flange wall such that air is ousted from the sealing chambers, thus, causing the sealing chambers to function in a manner similar to that of a suction cup.

  • Publication number: 20030182896
Abstract: A peripherally encapsulated product, such as an oven door outer shell, is molded in accordance with this invention by placing a piece of glass between mold clamping portions of relatively movable closed bodies when the latter are in an open position. Preferably both bodies are heated and thermosetting polymeric material (SMC or BMC) is placed upon selected areas of one of the mold bodies within and about an area corresponding to an annular mold cavity and outboard of a peripheral edge of a piece of glass. The glass is clamped between mold clamping portions of the mold bodies which are then progressively closed creating compression forces which extrude the thermosetting polymeric material into the annular cavity and into complete encapsulation of the continuous peripheral edge of the piece of glass. The thermosetting polymeric material is cured, the mold bodies are opened and the product is removed therefrom.
