Patent number: 6010329Abstract: A jet pump for a heat gun includes an elongate hollow pump body lying along a longitudinal axis. The pump body has an inlet, a mixing section and an outlet. A nozzle unit is axially aligned with the inlet for directing pressurized fuel into the inlet of the pump body. Movement of the pressurized fuel into the inlet causes air to be drawn into the inlet to mix with the fuel within the pump body. A disk shaped air diverter is axially spaced away from the inlet of the pump body. The diverter has a length and a diameter. The diameter of the diverter is greater than the length of the diverter and larger than the inlet of the pump body. A housing is radially spaced from and surrounds the diverter forming a first annular gap therearound for air outside the housing to pass therethrough. The air moves around the diverter then changes direction between the diverter and the inlet of the pump body before entering the inlet.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 1997Date of Patent: January 4, 2000Assignees: Shrinkfast Corporation, Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering Co., Inc.Inventor: Dimiter S. Patent number: 5725369Abstract: A gas torch having a body provided with a connected socket to install a gas-can thereof. A control device is connected to top of the body to control the supply and shutoff of the gas flow. The body is connected with a regulating device to ensure a complete vaporization of liquefied gas and keep the gas pressure constantly. The gas is directed to an injected orifice via a preset route within the body. The injected gas is well mixed within a burning nozzle and ignited by piezo electricity device. Those described components are enclosed by a housing. A branching rod and a baking tube such that the gas torch can be served as a baking device. The burning nozzle can be readily replaced with another type and different flame patterns can be attained.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 1997Date of Patent: March 10, 1998Inventor: Chin-Lin Tsai

Patent number: 5573393Abstract: A burner including a storage tank, a gas outflow means, a pressure regulating means, a control means, a hood, a selectively replaceable gas ejecting base, a gas diffusion burner head and/or a firing means. When in use, a control knob is firstly turned so that fuel gas flows along a gas path to escape from the gas diffusion burner head and/or the firing means. Then a push-button is pressed so that a piezo-electric device generates electrostatic sparks to ignite fuel gas escaped from the gas diffusion burner head and/or the firing means. The intensity of the fire may be adjusted by means of the control means. A handle is also provided to facilitate carrying.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 1995Date of Patent: November 12, 1996Inventor: Chin-Lin Tsai

Patent number: 5466149Abstract: An improved heating torch including a barrel, a top mounting, a gas release device, a flame device and a casing unit. After assembly, by turning a switch button, the flow of fuel gas and initiation of a piezoelectric device to start ignition may be controlled. Two copper sheets which retain a regulating sponge therebetween regulate the pressure of fuel gas for maintaining a stable pressure. The reciprocating movement of a control core conceals or opens a connecting hole for regulating gas flow. A ring notch and a corresponding air vent controls the mixture of air and fuel gas. A front end of the heating torch may further be provided with a soldering-iron, and a base plate is provided on the bottom of the barrel for keeping the torch in a stable position.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 1995Date of Patent: November 14, 1995Inventor: Chin-Lin Tsai

Patent number: 5215456Abstract: A gas combustion method and apparatus for performing such comprises supplying a fuel gas, generating a gas mixture composed of the fuel gas and external air, diffusing the gas mixture through a diffusion member to lower a flow velocity of thereof, putting the gas mixture to flaming combustion in a cylindrical combustion chamber thereby elevating the temperature of a combustion catalyst disposed to the downstream end of the combustion chamber by the heat of the flaming combustion, then ceasing the diffusion of the gas mixture to increase the flow velocity thereof in the combustion chamber, thereby extinguishing the combustion flame and directly supplying the gas mixture to the combustion catalyst. The gas mixture is put into and out of diffusion by an actuating mechanism that brings a diffusion member into and away from the entrance of the combustion chamber.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 1992Date of Patent: June 1, 1993Assignee: Nakajima Copper Works, Inc.Inventor: Akinobu Fujiwara
