Intravaginal (e.g., Antirape Devices) Patents (Class 128/884)
  • Patent number: 10729464
Abstract: A system and method for stabilizing an incontinent cervix during pregnancy are described. A system may include a nesting portion designed to surround the cervix without applying pressure to the cervix, while supporting the uterus in opposition to the weight of the developing fetus to prevent untimely effacement and dilatation of the cervix; thereby reducing the risk of premature birth and its consequence.

  • Publication number: 20150027452
Abstract: A perpetrator identifier cum rape victim protector 10 comprises a flexible sheath 12 of liquid impermeable condom type substance that is divided into a tissue attachment means carrying section 18 extending from a mouth 16 and a concertina effect formed inner end section 22. Attachment means in the form of tines 20 are carried along a carrier base 24 that is constituted from zigzag formed coaxially arranged elements 30 that are spaced apart by linear spacers 32 from which the tines 20 extend. The tines 20 and base 24 form a carrier body 26 that forms part of the section 18 to the effect of enabling its expansion once exposed to an action of sheath penetration. The tines 20 are formed to require professional assistance for the release of the identifier cum protector 10 once having become attached to a penetrating member. The lengths and extent of slanting of the tines 20 are selected to limit any body threatening injury to a perpetrator so exposed.

  • Patent number: 7322358
Abstract: A female condom is provided that includes a pouch of resilient membranous material and a hydrophilic cling mechanism. According to an embodiment of the invention, the cling mechanism includes three or more foam cling elements attached to an outer surface of the pouch. Upon insertion, the foam cling elements cling lightly to vaginal walls proximate a transition zone between the vagina's introitus and its rugated internal tissue. The foam cling elements may be shaped to permit them to nestle into a user's rugated internal vaginal tissue. An inserter may be coupled to the pouch for facilitating insertion of the condom. The inserter may retain a distal portion of the pouch in a collapsed form. The cling mechanism may be contained within the dissolvable inserter. The inserter may be dissolvable in the presence of vaginal moisture. Methods are also provided for collapsing the pouch and compressing it into an insertion package.

  • Patent number: 7131444
Abstract: The invention is made of a soft but firm FDA approved polymer/thermoplastic medical grade. Containing within its structure different wall thickness and shape of material resilient hollow receptacle tip, sharp circular projectile disk and dimensional hole in center, circular elongated tubular one piece with external raised ribs, string for removal. It can be lubricated in the manner of a condom. The resilient hollow receptacle tip surrounds a sharp circular projectile disk and dimensional hole in the center of the source of the sharp circular projectile disk which has a specimen cavity behind the dimensional center hole for collecting specimens from a penis upon contact in attempting to penetrate the vagina. This invention is inserted into the vagina of a female wearing it in the same way as a tampon length wise and pushing it into the vaginal cavity.

  • Patent number: 6935343
Abstract: The invention is made of a soft and firm two types of FDA medically approved polymer thermoplastics containing within its structure different hardness and shapes of a hollow resilient tip, elongated one piece member being a sharp projectile. The resilient tip can be filled with a spermicide. The device is inserted into the vagina of the woman wearing it in the same way as a tampon lengthwise and pushing it into the vaginal cavity. Upon placement in the vagina, the invention blocks the entrance to the vagina, and exposes a resilient hollow tip covering a sharp projectile, which once compressed will inflict a sharp non-lethal pain to head of the penis attempting to penetrate the vagina. The invention is stablized inside the vagina. A woman can pinch grip the resilient tip to remove the device. The device is disposable. A Physican should be consulted in regards for proper maintenance of the device. It can be made in different sizes to accommodate the various different female bodies.

  • Patent number: 6250304
Abstract: The invention is made of a soft but firm FDA approved polymer/thermoplastic medical grade containing within its structure different hardness and shape of material base cover support, resilient hollow receptacle tip, sharp pointed projectile, elongated solid circular implant with side port thru holes and a string. It can be lubricated in the manner of a condom. The resilient hollow receptacle tip, can be filled with a spermicide for a source of protection against any pre-ejaulation of semen in the act of attempting to penetrate the vagina. It is inserted into the vagina of the woman wearing it in the same way as a tampon lengthwise and pushing it into the vaginal cavity. Upon placement in the vagina, the invention blocks the entrance to the vagina, and exposes a resilient hollow receptacle tip covering a sharp projectile, which will inflict a sharp non-lethal pain to head of the penis attempting to penetrate the vagina.

  • Patent number: 5769090
Abstract: A female security device placed within a vaginal cavity to protect and minimize physical damage caused by physical sexual intercourse. The female security device includes a cylindrical housing including a first open end and a second closed end. The second closed end is inserted deeper within the vaginal cavity than the first open end and an inner surface of the cylindrical housing is able to absorb any fluid dispensed therein. Pressure sensors are positioned therearound for sensing contractions in walls of the vaginal cavity and a pressure sensor is positioned therein for sensing pressure caused by insertion of an object into the cylindrical cavity. A needle is positioned to extend into the cylindrical cavity for contacting the object inserted therein and retaining a tissue sample of the object.

  • Patent number: 5353811
Abstract: The invention is made of a flexible metal rim(6) containing within its circumference plastic, triangular, pointed, curved spears(2), which move only inward. Attached to the rim(6) is a thin, hollow, rubber pocket (3), reinforced in a cage-like manner with heavier rubber(4). It can be pre-lubricated in the manner of a condom. It is inserted into the vagina by the woman wearing it by folding the pocket(3) lengthwise and pushing it into the vaginal cavity. Upon release, the pocket(3) expands slightly to fill the vaginal cavity. The flexible metal rim(6) can then be pushed upward to fit into the outer end of the vaginal opening (8). It has two small lips(1), at the top and bottom of the flexible rim(6), which are used as grips for removal. A woman can pry either lip(1) with a thumbnail or fingernail and draw the invention out of the vagina. It is disposable. It can be worn for a few hours or all night.
