Abstract: This disclosure provides a cigar band comprising two annular-shaped halves, a clasp mechanism, a hinge mechanism, and at least one spring mechanism. The clasp mechanism is along one side edge of each annular-shaped half and is configured to allow for the separation and union of the two halves along the one side edge. The hinge mechanism is along the opposing side edge of each annular-shaped half and is configured to allow for the movement of the two halves about an axis. The cigar band also has at least one spring mechanism attached to at least one annular-shaped half. The cigar band is configured to open about the axis and maintain a cigar within the space defined by the two annular-shaped halves as a result of the pressure of the at least one spring mechanism once the cigar band is closed.

Abstract: A hair-root applicator (10) of the present invention includes: a comb-teeth part (13) in which a plurality of comb teeth (12) are erected from a surface of a comb-teeth base (14); and a container (11) for containing a hair dye as a coating agent. This hair-root applicator is an applicator capable of applying, to hair-root sections of the hair, the hair dye supplied from the container (11) to the comb teeth (12). Each comb tooth (12) includes a comb-tooth body part (15) having a function of combing the hair, and a tip-end elastically deformable part (16) that is provided contiguously to the tip end of the comb-tooth body part (15) and that is made of a soft resin. A liquid introduction path (17) for the coating agent is provided inside the comb-tooth body part (15). A discharge port (17a) of the liquid introduction path (17) is opened so as to be arranged in the vicinity of the tip-end elastically deformable part (16).

Abstract: A hair piece of the present invention includes a comb portion formed from a flexible polymeric material. The comb includes a top portion presenting a track or female connector and a plurality of teeth extending radially from the top portion for engaging hair of a user. The comb may be fabricated from many other materials in addition to polymeric material or combination thereof without limiting the scope of the present invention. A base or support portion of the hair piece is formed from another polymeric material such as foam or the like. The base portion may present various cross sections such as circular, rectangular, square, and the like. The base portion may present various length and heights as desired by the user. A human or synthetic hair of various shapes, styles and colors is connected to the base portion thereby totally covering the base portion.

Abstract: An apparatus in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a comb having a spine and a plurality of teeth, the spine having a first end and a second end and a band coupled to a first clip at a first end of the band, the first clip for coupling to the first end of the spine, and a second end of the band coupled to the second end of the spine.

Abstract: This invention relates to easy-to-use imperceptible hair volumizing accessory to increase hair volume. A hair volumizing accessory for increasing hair volume comprises: a hair roll comprising a tube, a hollow therein, and two openings on both ends thereof to be closed or enclosed; a filler for filling the hollow of the hair roll; a hair comb configured to be curved for fitting to the contour of a head of a wearer and attached to the hair roll by attachment means; and two end caps for enclosing the two openings of the hair roll. The advantages of the present invention are: (1) the hair volumizing accessory is easy-to-use and imperceptible; and (2) the hair volumizing accessory can be manufactured in various sizes and colors for serving the wearer's needs.

Abstract: A device for packaging and method for applying a product configured to be applied on fibers. One example of the device includes a base incorporating a recess to accommodate a cup. This example of the device also includes a cup forming a seat for receiving a stick of product and a driving means for moving the cup relative to the base between a stowed position of the cup in the recess and a usage position in which an applicator portion of the stick emerges at least partially from an opening of the recess. The device includes a plurality of separator/comb elements extending around at least a portion of the opening of the recess, the separator/comb elements being configured so as to engage with the fibers to separate/comb them simultaneously to, or after the application of, the product onto the fibers by the applicator portion. A method is of using the device is also provided.

Abstract: A metal-toothed comb is provided having elongated identical teeth each with a square cross-section along substantially the entire length, elongated edges of each tooth being slightly rounded, free ends of each of the teeth being slightly rounded, whereby the teeth are successively positioned juxtaposed in a common plane, with elongated edges of each tooth opposing one another, and the distance between the teeth being a constant 0.004 inch along the entire length of the gap therebetween, except for a relatively small portion proximate the distal ends of each tooth, which are tapered down to a rounded tip.

Abstract: An improved hair comb for a dual comb hair accessory (11) or the like which has strand connections or terminations. The comb includes a spine (17) having a raised portion (19, 21, 23) that can advantageously be used to relocate or reorient strand connections to the comb or combs of the hair accessory relative to the plane of the comb, and that can provide a structure into or behind which strand connections, terminations and/or segments can be tucked. Preferably, the raised spine portions of the combs are constructed to form a raised cavity region (27) in the spine for receiving strand connections, terminations and/or segments.

Abstract: A cosmetic hair assembly has a shaped piece of wig netting or mesh holding a plurality of cosmetic hairs attached to a correspondingly shaped layer of biomimetic microstructure adhesive (BMA) with tiny synthetic seta for adhesion to human skin. The wig netting is dimensioned slightly larger than the BMA layer to leave a slight overhanging part to facilitate removal from the skin by peeling back the overhanging part. A comb with peeler in the form of hooked portions can be used to peel back the wig netting. In another embodiment, an individual cosmetic hair assembly has a hair shaft attached to a substrate portion attached to a BMA layer, wherein the substrate's edges provide engagement surfaces to facilitate removal by peeling back the BMA layer. An applicator in the form of a thin water-soluble transfer sheet can hold a number of cosmetic hair assemblies until they are ready to be applied.

Abstract: A hair curling device (10) which curls hair in less time and with less effort than utilizing ones hands. The hair curling device (10) is specifically designed to comb and twist naturally curly (unprocessed) Afro-American hair, comprises a circular comb (14) having a plurality of comb teeth (14B) which rotates within a head (12). The hair curling device (10) can spin hair cowls (locks) in either direction. The hair curling device (10) is powered by an electric motor (18) which rotates the comb (14). The hair curling device (10) has a handle housing (16) which has a handle compartment (16D) within which the motor (18) (and power means (20)) is housed. The motor (18) has a motor gear (18A) which is complimentary to and engages a comb ring gear (14AA) mounted on an outer circumference of a comb ring (14A). On an inner circumference of the comb ring (14A) are the plurality of comb teeth (14B), with preferably two rows offset from each other.

Abstract: An improved curling device is comprised of a horizontal, generally round base, having elongated main teeth vertically extending from around the edge of the base, interior of the base having one or more row(s) of smaller additional teeth, which are tightly spaced to sufficiently brush, tease and grab the hair. The outer row of teeth being tapered outwardly from a vertical plane as the outer teeth extend from the lower teeth ends to upper teeth tips. The bottom of the base is attached to the vertical holding element.
