Abstract: A folding comb including two distinct comb segments that are pivotally connected to one another for independent deployment. Each comb segment has a plurality of different size and directional orientation teeth to accommodate different hair types and styles in a compact configuration. An interlocking hub hinge provides locked closed and locked open position orientation of the comb segments for use.

Abstract: An applicator for applying a cosmetic to eyelashes, comprising a shaft section or at least a coupling section and an applicator section, the applicator section being configured as an internally hollow cage for accommodating the cosmetic, which is substantially or completely closed in the circumferential direction, characterized in that the cage, in the direction perpendicular to its longitudinal axis, has a triangular cross section and comprises on at least one of its circumferential tips a number of passages that communicate with the interior of the cage and into which the eyelashes insert themselves during application.

Abstract: A hairbrush comprising retractable bristles to ease removal of hair from the brush comprises an internal wedge and wheel mechanism actuated by a sliding button and link to the wheel. Alignment channels assure movement of the bristles through the perforated panel without binding. In alternative embodiments, a full expandable linkage or a half expandable linkage extend and retract the bristles through the perforated panel of the hairbrush.

Abstract: A first comb has a graduated scale attached near a first end of the scale so that the scale can be pivoted outwardly and inwardly from the first comb. A cutting guide first end is pivotably attached to the second end of the graduated scale. The graduated scale can be slidable lengthwise with respect to the first comb to position the cutting guide a select distance from the first comb. A swivel or hinge permits the graduated scale to extend in the plane of the first comb or to extend perpendicular to it or any angle in between. Clamping or friction provision permit the first comb and the graduated scale and the cutting guide to all be fixed in the plane of the first comb, either in a folded carrying configuration or in a ready-to-use configuration, or to fix the graduated scale perpendicular to the plane of the first comb and to fix the cutting guide parallel to the plane of the first comb at a fixed or at a select distance parallel to the plane of the first comb.
