Abstract: The present invention comprises a holder for cosmetic devices. The holder comprises a main body with a wall that defines a hole for receipt of a cosmetic article. The annular or semi-annular wall also defines a roll or a groove for retaining the cosmetic article.

Abstract: Dual pack applicators capable of holding two separate volumes of product are described. The respective product volumes are separately accessible from opposite ends of the applicator. The applicator has an outer sleeve which holds two individual applicator assemblies. Each individual assembly has its own reservoir and dispensing mechanism and can be a pre-existing self-sufficient applicator. Each individual applicator assembly is secured within the sleeve by a friction fit or by a snap fit mechanism.

Abstract: A unitary assembly that clusters a mirror, a lipstick and a cosmetic pencil, making it possible to store these items as a unit in a purse so that they are readily accessible to a user. The assembly is provided with a rectangular plastic frame on whose front face is supported the mirror. Projecting from the rear of the frame are end jaws adjacent opposite sides of the frame and an intermediate jaw between the end jaws. One end jaw in conjunction with the intermediate jaw acts as a flexible clip to clamp the lipstick to the frame. The other end jaw in conjunction with the intermediate jaw acts as a flexible clip to clamp the cosmetic pencil to the frame. The end jaws also function as a handle for the mirror so that as the user holds the mirror with one hand, and looks into it she can with her other hand grasping the lipstick or the cosmetic pencil, then apply color to her lips.

Abstract: A pomade stick applicator having a swiveling pomade advancing and retracting mechanism has a two-part base-cap container and virtually air-tight sealing features. These include an interfering snap fit between the container base and the longitudinally slotted inner body, and a resiliently deformable annular seal between the lower end of the helical internal cam and the inner body. This annular seal is urged into telescoping deformed sealed engagement by the container cap applied by the user. The interior of the cap seals the upper end of the shell fixed to the cam, and also provides an inner skirt interferingly telescoped with the upper end of the inner body, prevening swiveling. These seals enclose the pomade stick, blocking the escape of volatiles.

Abstract: A multiple pen-like cosmetics applying device comprising a central holder having a first end with a brush for applying wet or dry powder cosmetic and a second end with a lining pencil removably mounted in the second end, whereby the pencil is capable of being moved between an operative position with a marking tip of the pencil being exposed for use and an inoperative position with the tip being housed in a cavity of the holder.

Abstract: A multi-purpose cosmetic applicator for aiding a person in applying numerous types of cosmetics thereby eliminating the need to carry individual applicators. The applicator includes a plurality of hollow sections, each having a circumference and including first and second ends connected by a midsection. A plurality of applicator units, each having a circumference substantially equal to the circumference of the hollow sections, include a central section, a first applicator device extending from a first side of the central section and a second applicator device extending from a second side of the central section. A releasable pressure seal is formed between one end of each hollow section and a respective one of the applicator units such that one of the applicator devices extends into the midsection of the respective hollow section and the other applicator device extends from one of the first and second ends.

Abstract: A cosmetic system and method is disclosed as comprising a housing having a plurality of apertures for receiving a plurality of cosmetic items, such as lipstick, eye liners, brushes, powders and the like, in one organized and portable holder. The cosmetic system further includes a sharpener for sharpening one or more of the cosmetic tools, such as the pencils/liners and a flip-open mirror for use when applying the cosmetics. The cosmetics and cosmetic tools, mirrors, sharpener and the like are all provided in one convenient storage receptacle or housing which is compact, portable and easily stored in a small area, such as in a purse, travel bag, suitcase, drawer or the like.

Abstract: A cosmetic package includes an open-top casing, a closure and a tray pivotally mounted to opposite sides of the casing, with the tray removably carrying a plurality of elongated sticks each coated at one end with a cosmetic product, such as lipstick, nail polish or eye make-up. The elongated sticks can also take the form of make-up pencils. The tray includes a pair of parallel and spaced apart notched members, with the notches of one member being aligned with respective notches of the other member, whereby each pair of aligned notches cooperate for retaining one elongated stick. The elongated sticks are carried on the underside of the tray when it is retracted in the casing. Aligned openings are defined in the closure and in the tray for viewing the coated ends of the sticks when the package is closed. The opening of the closure is fitted with a protective window.

Abstract: A makeup kit is disclosed which contains all of the essentials in one unit. The kit can be customized for users of different hair colors and complexions. A limited number of kit types will accommodate all users. Decision trees are provided to assist users in selecting the optimal kit type. Selection of the optimal kit is facilitated by the provision of color or gray swatches in conjunction with a decision tree to categorize skin shade. A technique for categorizing potential users for other makeup kit systems is also disclosed.

Abstract: A pendent defines a generally heart-shaped housing having an interior cavity formed therein and an internal heart-shaped aperture at its center. A planar support base is formed at the lower portion of the heart-shaped housing while an upwardly extending cylindrical neck portion is formed in the upper portion of the heart-shaped housing. A cap includes a cylindrical stopper receivable within the housing neck to provide closure of the interior cavity thereof. The heart-shaped housing interior cavity is divided by an interior wall into a closed sealed cavity portion which receives and supports a liquid and glitter particle combination. The remaining portion of the housing interior cavity is accessible through the neck portion to provide a refillable reservoir for liquids such as cologne, perfume or the like. A heart-shaped compact having mating half portions is receivable within the heart-shaped interior aperture of the housing and is securable to the pendent by a tight fit therebetween.

Abstract: A box with a top lid hingedly attached thereto and a carrier movably disposed within an interior of the box and structured to hold cosmetic articles in a predetermined arrangement such that the cosmetic articles can be removed from within the box. A ribbon is attached to the box at one end with an opposite free distal end of the ribbon extending from the box interior. Pulling on the free end causes the ribbon to engage the carrier, forcing the carrier upwardly from a lowered, stowed position to a raised position, facilitating access to the cosmetic articles held by the carrier.

Abstract: A compartmentized hairbrush is disclosed having a cavity in the handle for lipstick, a pair of cavities in the body for makeup tools and a third cavity in the body for cosmetic products. The cosmetic products are within an interchangeable cartridge(s) having a groove on the bottom that engages a mating tongue in the body cavity to retain the cartridge(s) in the cavity.

Abstract: A compact cosmetic center that houses cosmetic products needed to do a complete makeup application. This center securely stores replaceable cosmetic cartridges, tubes, and tools to allow the consumer hands-free use while in a stationary, upright position or when in motion, i.e., in an automobile, boat, plane. This is possible by use of suction cups attaching to nonporous surfaces or by the use of an adjustable clip for use on a desk top or car visor.

Abstract: In combination, a molded bottle and a stick dispenser wherein the bottle comprises front and rear faces and side edges. One of the side edges has a cavity for nesting the stick dispenser. The stick dispenser has end surfaces and the cavity has end surfaces. Each of the end surfaces of the stick dispenser has a recess and each of the ends of the cavity has a domed surface. The domed surfaces are sized and spaced to receive each of the recesses of the stick dispenser in a snap fit.

Abstract: A cosmetic organizer for retaining a plurality of cosmetic products and cosmetic applicators within a housing is disclosed. The cosmetic organizer comprises at least one cosmetic applicator receptacle device for receiving and retaining corresponding cosmetic applicators therein. The receptacle device is movable between a retracted position at which it is retained within a housing so that it cannot be removed therefrom, and a projected position at which it is arranged at least partially outside of the housing and can easily be removed therefrom. An ejection device is arranged in the housing for forcing the cosmetic holding device from its retracted position to its projected position. A latch mechanism is used to secure the cosmetic holding device in its retracted position and to selectively permit the cosmetic holding device to move to its projected position. A sealing device is provided to prevent the cosmetic applicators from drying out when stored within the housing.

A light touch on the locking member permits the holder to push the cover open.A cosmetic applicator which substantially reduces soiling and which can be carried in a handbag, consists of a sliding sleeve attached to a body having a handle end and an application end.

Abstract: Disclosed is a spherical vanity case, which is formed of an upper cover, an intermediate unit and a bottom unit. The upper cover has a mirror pivoted thereto to define with the intermediate unit a receiving space for keeping small toiletries. The intermediate unit has a center hole into which a hollow shaft upstanding from the bottom unit is fastened, a plurality of compartments on its top surface for holding dusting powder and rouge cake, and a plurality of bottom slots radially arranged around a circle respectively for receiving a powder make-up case each. Each powder make-up case has a bottom projection respectively movably fastened in a corresponding groove on the top surface of the bottom unit such that relative rotation of the intermediate unit against the bottom unit drives the powder make-up cases to slide in or out of the bottom slots. The hollow shaft of the bottom unit defines therein a space for carrying a lipstick.

Abstract: An applicator assembly for supplying lipstick or like substance to the lips of the user by first coating opposite surfaces of an applicator sheet with the substance to be applied and then applying the coated applicator sheet to the mouth of the user. The assembly comprises a housing having substance supply containers movable into and out of opposite surfaces of individual applicator sheets entering the housing in an operative position and further wherein a supply of such applicator sheets may be considered a part of the housing.

Abstract: There is disclosed a holder for a stick-type cosmetic case which has an end portion of which the transverse outer size is smaller than that of the other portion of the cosmetic case. The holder includes: a holder body; a cover member; and a slanting surface. The holder body includes bottom and a peripheral walls defining a hollow for receiving the cosmetic case. The peripheral wall includes front and rear portions. The cover member is pivotally connected to the rear portion of the peripheral wall so as to open and close the hollow. The slanting surface extends between the bottom wall and the rear portion of the peripheral wall. The slanting surface inclines in such a manner that its rear edge is positioned at a higher level than its front edge. The distance between the front edge of the slanting surface and the front portion of the peripheral wall is less than the length of the cosmetic case and not less than the length of the other portion of the cosmetic case.

Abstract: A molded plastic container having three compartments is described which has utility as a makeup case. The container comprises a central compartment (which can hold an applicator) and a side compartment on each side of the central compartment which is adapted to hold makeup. A living hinge lies between each side compartment and the central compartment to allow for movement of the two side compartments towards and away from one another in the act of closing and opening of the container, respectively. Protective plastic film can overlie at least one of the side compartments.
