Abstract: The present invention provides a novel structure for sealing a cosmetic container using a double-injection molded rib on the container body sealing against a deformable hard-rubber ring on the container cover. The invention will maximize product reliability by improving the sealing structure of a make-up base or cosmetic container through providing a clear, air-tight effect since the sealing structure cannot be deformed, even in the case of long-term use. The invention provides uniform, airtight adhesion without unequal distribution of coupling intensity between internal sealing components when the container cover is closed. Further, the aesthetics of the container are increased because a closure clasp is not necessary, and it is possible to eliminate the problem of dried-out product created when the container is fitted with a closure clasp or similar device.

Abstract: A container is disclosed. A lid is affixed to a base at a hinged connection. The base includes an enclosure, and the lid includes a catch, the catch being opposite the enclosure. A latch assembly is disposed within the enclosure and includes a button within an opening in the enclosure, a latch, and at least one spring member. The latch extends from the button into sliding relationship with an actuating member, which is configured to actuate the latch when the button is depressed. When the lid is in a closed position, the latch engages the catch. The spring member extends away from the button into sliding relationship with the base. When the button is depressed, the latch disengages the catch, and the spring member resiliently flexes as the end of the spring member slides along a portion of the base.

Abstract: A cosmetics box includes a housing, a receiving tray secured in the housing, a lid pivotally mounted on the housing to cover the receiving tray, and two pivot mechanisms mounted between the lid and the receiving tray so that the lid is pivotally connected with the receiving tray. Thus, when the lid is pivoted relative to the housing, the rotation of the lid is damped and braked by the pivot mechanisms to largely reduce the rotation speed of the lid relative to the housing, thereby preventing the lid from violently hitting the housing and the receiving tray due to an excessive force and a higher rotation speed, and thereby protecting the articles contained in the receiving tray.
