An actuation opening through the base structure permits a pressing of a release button of the product base insert to induce the product base insert from the engaged to the disengaged configuration. Resiliently deflectable catch members project longitudinally from either or both of the base structure and the product base insert. Converging deflection surfaces engage the catch members as the product base insert is repositioned from the disengaged configuration to the engaged configuration to deflect the catch members laterally inwardly to retain a cosmetic pan and to permit a deflection of the catch members laterally outwardly as the product base insert is repositioned from the engaged configuration to the disengaged configuration to release or receive a cosmetic pan.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cosmetic container having an inner container and a sealing structure for an inner container cap and, more specifically, to a cosmetic container having an inner container and a sealing structure for an inner container cap in which an outer wall of the inner container is formed to have a larger diameter than a sealing projecting ring formed on the lower portion of the inner container cap such that the sealing projecting ring is forcibly inserted into the outer wall of the inner container, and a first hinge block having an oval hinge hole formed therein is formed on a side of the inner container such that a hinge pin is able to move up and down in the hinge hole, thereby enhancing a force for sealing the interior of the inner container when the inner container is closed.

Abstract: The present invention describes a receptacle (10) for a personal care composition comprising a container (12), a separate closure member (14), at least one applicator means (22) for the application of the composition to a user and at least one removal means (24) for the removal of the composition from a user, wherein: the container comprises a reservoir means for retaining a quantity of composition and an aperture (18) in an upper portion of said container; and wherein the closure member has a hollow construction and a releasably sealable lid member (16), and the interior of the closure member is configured to house the at least one applicator means and the at least one removal means; and wherein securing means (20) are provided to permit the closure member to be releasably engagable with the container to close the aperture when engaged. The present invention also describes a method of applying a personal care composition.

Abstract: The present invention provides a novel structure for sealing a cosmetic container using a double-injection molded rib on the container body sealing against a deformable hard-rubber ring on the container cover. The invention will maximize product reliability by improving the sealing structure of a make-up base or cosmetic container through providing a clear, air-tight effect since the sealing structure cannot be deformed, even in the case of long-term use. The invention provides uniform, airtight adhesion without unequal distribution of coupling intensity between internal sealing components when the container cover is closed. Further, the aesthetics of the container are increased because a closure clasp is not necessary, and it is possible to eliminate the problem of dried-out product created when the container is fitted with a closure clasp or similar device.

The stopper comprises a protrusion (7) that cooperates with a dispensing orifice (8) of the container. The stopper is connected by a hinge (6) to a lid (2) or base (3) of the compact, preferably to the lid. The stopper may thus serve as a latch for the lid of the compact. The hinged connection (6) may be a web integrally formed with the stopper and the adjacent part of the compact, or it may comprise a pin or protrusion.

Abstract: A child-resistant package includes first and second elements having base walls with rectangular peripheries, continuous peripheral walls extending around the peripheries, locking projections or tabs on opposed sections of the peripheral walls, and cylindrical walls extending from the base walls within the peripheral walls and having thread segments. The second element is threadable onto the first element to bring the peripheral walls into aligned abutment and the locking tabs into engagement with the locking projections to resist unthreading of the elements. The peripheral wall of the second element is inwardly flexible and resilient adjacent to the locking tabs to permit manual movement of the locking tabs inward from the locking projections so that the elements can be unthreaded from each other.

Abstract: A cosmetics case having a dual sealing structure is disclosed. The cosmetic case includes an outer case (1), an inner case (10), an inner lid (30), a rail case (20), and an outer lid (40). The outer case has a receiving chamber and a fastening groove. The inner case is received in the receiving chamber such that its fastening step is inserted into the fastening groove, and has a packing groove to receive a packing. A plurality of locking guides is provided on the outer circumference of the inner case. The inner lid is rotated around a second hinge pin, thus opening or closing the inner case, and the lower end of the inner lid comes into close contact with the packing. The rail case is mounted on the outer case. The outer lid includes projections that are guided along the corresponding locking guides.

Abstract: A cosmetic case having a first cover for a main body and a second cover for a refill container which is inserted in a container of the main body is provided. The second cover has an air vent structure for preventing a volatile agent, which is contained in an oily and solid foundation, from volatilizing. The air vent structure of the second cover blocks the discharge of the air inside the refill container so as to prevent materials of the beauty product from ventilating when the first cover for the main body is closed after closing the second cover for the refill container. Sealing by the second cover is maintained as well as easier operation of closing because ventilation is performed by a valve provided in the second cover.

In one mode, the scraper member shaves off limited quantities of the upper surface of the cosmetic cake to produce controlled amounts of dust-like cosmetic powder particulates therefrom. The underside of the tray is a mirror, for use when the tray is swung up out of the jar, and when the applicator is being used.

Abstract: This invention provides an airtight cosmetic container, which comprises a cover, a base, and a hollow gasket positioned on the cover or the base. As the cover is moved into the closed position, the gasket deforms to a point where the gasket sealingly engages the cover and the base. The gasket surrounds a volatile solvent-containing product, and because the gasket deforms between the cover and the base, a seal is obtained which substantially prevents the loss of the volatile solvent from the product when the container is closed.

The female and male thread portions are engageable and disengageable. An inner cover made of an elastic material is attached to the lower portion of the cover so that the inner cover is brought into press contact with an open edge of the peripheral wall. A space is formed between the cover and the inner cover so that the inner cover is elastically deformed and expanded. When the female and the male thread portions are engaged with each other and the ring is rotated to a closed position, the cover approaches the case body so that the inner cover is brought into press contact with the open edge of the peripheral wall.

Abstract: Compact has an unlatching slide with a button surface and formed with front and rear cam surfaces. The hinged cover is held closed by a detent and the powder tray is held in the base also by detents. Light finger pressure on the unlatching slide button causes the front cam to force up the hinged cover disengaging the cover detent to open the compact, and heavy finger pressure on the unlatching slide forces the powder tray up disengaging the tray detents and liberating the tray from the frame so that it may be replaced.
