The shock absorbing member is coupled to the base and is coupled to the at least one cosmetic pan such that a shock imparted on the cosmetic compact is isolated from the at least one cosmetic pan. The shock absorbing member is deformable and comprises a hollow tubular body defining a central bore extending between an upper-flange and a lower-flange of the shock absorbing member.

Abstract: A container with elastic screen has a container body with an opening therein for extracting the contents; an outer lid that seals the opening, detachably attachable to the container body; a screen made of elastic mesh material, disposed so as to cover the opening; and a mesh adjustment mechanism for adjusting a mesh size of the screen. The mesh adjustment mechanism includes a moving member and a fixed member. With a normal direction to the plane in which the screen is stretched as the vertical direction, the moving member has a portion that contacts in a ring shape the peripheral edge of the top surface of the screen and makes the portion movable in the vertical direction with respect to the opening. The fixed member is fixed to the opening while fixing a vertical position of the moving member.

Abstract: An improved drywall finishing system is comprised of a container, a powdered compound and an applicator, and several methods of applying the compound to a drywall surface via the applicator. The first method of the system involves applying the compound to a drywall surface via the applicator to detect rough, un-sanded, or improperly sanded areas that can then be re-sanded as needed. Further, the second method of the system involves applying the compound to a drywall surface wherein the powder adheres to any high spots, low spots, or imperfections in the surface, wherein said spots can be re-sanded as needed.

The apparatus is comprised of an applicator portion to which gel or solid deodorant is secured and which is coupled to a handle portion. The applicator portion is sized to accommodate a single application of deodorant in a compact format while the handle portion is sized to be grasped between the fingers and thumb of the human hand. The handle portion comprises a moveable connecting point allowing the handle portion to traverse between a storage position and a gripping position during use. The applicator portion is integrally formed with said handle portion.

Abstract: A sifter insert for the neck of a powder jar is secured above the product reservoir and below the cap of the jar. The insert has a central concave dish for supporting a quantity of powder product, and a channel around the perimeter of the dish. The insert is secured in the neck such that the dish is spaced below the bottom of the cap. Slots in the channel permit the flow of powder from the reservoir into the channel when the jar is inverted with the cap closed, and from the channel onto the dish when the inverted jar is righted. Powder in the dish is accessed by the user upon removal of the cap. The cap is then closed and the jar shaken to return excess powder from the dish to the reservoir through the slots in the channel.

Abstract: A loose powder container is provided. The powder container includes a cap and a receptacle for storing the loose powder. The cap includes a brush integrated into the cap. The cap also comprises two sections, such that, in an initial position an upper section is aligned with respect to a lower section of the cap. Clockwise rotation of the upper section in order to misalign it with the lower section of the cap, results in the brush protruding from the cap. The brush is completely protruded when the upper section of the cap is re-aligned with the lower section of the cap upon a 180 degree rotation in the clockwise direction. The fully protruded brush is twirled around to pick loose powder through a perforated layer comprised in the receptacle. The brush is retracted upon anti-clockwise rotation of the upper section, to align it in the initial position with the lower section.

Abstract: A sifter insert is provided for mounting in the neck of a powder jar above the product storage area and below the cap of the jar. The sifter insert has a central concave dish portion for supporting a quantity of powder product. A channel is provided around the perimeter of the dish portion. The sifter insert is secured in the opening in the neck of the jar such that the dish portion is space at a distance below the bottom of the cap. Slotted openings in the channel permit the flow of powder from the product reservoir into the channel and subsequently into the clearance when the jar is inverted. When the inverted jar is righted, a quantity of powder in the clearance is deposited on the dish portion where it is accessible to the user upon removal of the cap from the jar. A powder brush or puff may be used to retrieve powder from the quantity resting in the dish portion.

The dispenser prevents leakage by providing a seal with the flow-through gasket when the dispenser is in a closed position. In some examples, the flow-through gasket with the concave shape top may be made of a material having elastomeric properties.

The first sifter may have at least one sifting hole for sifting materials with a powder-like consistency. The second sifter may rotate with the rotation of the cover, such that when the cover is rotated into a closed position the second sifter is rotated in relation to the first sifter to offset the holes in the first sifter and the holes in the second sifter. When the cover is rotated into an open position the second sifter is rotated in relation to the first sifter to align the holes in the first sifter with the holes in the second sifter.

The cap also comprises two sections, such that, in an initial position an upper section is aligned with respect to a lower section of the cap. The brush is completely protruded when the upper section of the cap is re-aligned with the lower section of the cap upon a 180 degree rotation in the clockwise direction. The brush is retracted upon anti-clockwise rotation of the upper section, to align it in the initial position with the lower section.

The insert generally comprises a base having an aperture, and a panel having a plurality of perforations. The panel is pivotally attached to the base by a hinge. The panel is capable of occupying a first open position and a second closed position. In the first open position, the panel is pivoted to a position where the aperture of the base is exposed and a brush can be used to apply the loose powder. In the second closed position, the panel covers the aperture and allows the sifter to be used to sprinkle the powder through the perforations.

The rigid body and the flexible bottom define a variable volume compartment for containing the product. The case also includes a fixed screen which is capable of allowing the product to pass during simultaneous pressures on the flexible bottom and on the screen. The product can be a make-up or skin care powder. The flexible bottom can be formed by a flexible membrane, by a piston and/or a foam slab.
