Abstract: A lip stick machine includes a first tubular body on which a second tubular body is rotatably fitted, the first tubular body having at least one first guide and the second tubular body having at least one second guide, a cursor equipped with at least one first pin so that a mutual rotation of the first tubular body causes an axial translation of the cursor, a closure equipped with a tubular projection for coupling with a first free edge of the first tubular body when the closure is fitted on the machine; the second tubular body has a first annular groove open on a second free edge of the second tubular body, the first tubular body having a flange at the first free edge positioned inside the first annular groove so as to load a lateral surface of the annular groove when the closure is fitted on the machine.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein include a device for personalizing fragrance. The device includes a first module comprising a first hemispherical cap, a first container, and a first attacher; a first fragrance formulation contained by the first container; and a second module comprising a second hemispherical cap, a second container, and a second attacher. Also included is a second fragrance formulation, which can be different from the first fragrance formulation, and contained by the second container. The device includes a ring-shaped adaptor comprising a first feature for attaching to the first module at the first attacher and a second feature for attaching to the second module at the second attacher. When the first and second modules are each attached to the adaptor and the caps are in a closed position, the first module opposes the second module and the device has a capsule shape.

Abstract: A new lip balm applicator comprises an upper portion and a lower portion that are interengageably connected to one another to define the applicator, and a support assembly for supporting a solidified lip balm material within the applicator. The support assembly comprises supporting ribs formed on an inner surface of the lower portion and a lower opening having a closing lid, whereby the solidified lip balm material circumvents at least part of the supporting ribs. A novel method for manufacturing the lip balm applicator comprises interengaging the upper and lower portions of the lip balm applicator and pouring a liquefied lip balm material into the lower opening until at least part of the projecting supporting ribs are covered by the liquefied balm material and solidified.

Abstract: An applicator for a semi-solid material (e.g. lip balm) with an elastomeric material base cap has an interior tube long enough to cooperate with other structures to allow ejection of the plunger associated with the lip balm and its shaft by continued depression of the base cap. This allows easy replacement of the lip balm in the applicator when the original is used up. The applicator also has a tubular housing with interior guide hub with ribs configured and positioned to preclude spinning of the shaft of the plunger mounting the lip balm. A dispenser for flowable material (such as lotion) comprises a bellows mounted in a housing with an elastomeric material base cap at one end, and an end cap at the other end with a first part connected to the housing by screw threads, and a second part connected to the first part by a living hinge.

Abstract: A dental implement for cleaning interproximal spaces and a method of use. The implement includes a sleeve with first and second ends and a bore defined therebetween. A stack of cartridges is insertable into the bore. Each cartridge includes a cleaning tip such as an interproximal brush. A cap may be engaged with the sleeve to protect the tip and keep it hygienic. The cartridges are progressively advanced along the bore to present their cleaning tip for use. A locking member secures the uppermost cartridge in place. Once used, a cartridge is removed from the sleeve and may be discarded or inserted into an opening to the bore in the sleeve's second end. The tip may be snapped off prior to insertion. The cartridge stack is drawn along the bore as the uppermost cartridge is removed or insertion of the spent cartridge will advance the cartridge stack along the bore.

Abstract: One embodiment of an applicator comprises a brush head with a ferrule, and a brush handle. The ferrule has the head at one end and the handle at the other end. Magnetic elements, at least one of which is a magnet, are attached to the brush handle and ferrule where the two parts connect. The brush head can be removed from the handle, assembled with the handle, and switched easily whenever needed. The ferrule can be kept firmly on the handle by the action of the magnet inside. The head can be retracted by sliding a sleeve mounted on the handle forward over the sides of the head. The head, when removed from the handle, can be washed without the risk of water penetrating the sleeve mechanism. The head can also be replaced or interchanged, which can greatly enlarge the versatility of the brush and also avoids waste of material.
