Abstract: The present invention is an ergonomic mascara shield specifically designed to provide a barrier or protective shield over the upper and lower eyelid areas of a user's face to prevent smearing during the application of mascara. The device is comprised of an ergonomically designed eye portion being both angled and concave relative to an ergonomic handle portion integrally attached to the eye portion. The eye portion is adapted to fit even the deepest set eyes through its curvature and relative angle to the handle. The handle is designed to curve around the cheekbone and brow ridge thereby allowing the eye portion to rest comfortably and perfectly where desired in the eye socket. The handle likewise provides a contoured surface area to facilitate griping and positioning of the mascara shield in a preferred position against the lower or upper eyelids.

  • Patent number: 5884637
Abstract: A case for the packaging of a product in the form of a solid or semi-solid block includes: a bottom portion defining a receptacle for the solid block, structure or element penetrating into the solid block so as to immobilize the solid block inside the receptacle, a cap removably placed on one surface of the product so as to retain the block in the receptacle, and a lid removably fitted onto the bottom portion so as selectively to open/close the case. This case furthermore includes structure for coupling the lid and the cap so that opening the case by rotating the lid with respect to the bottom portion causes the cap to rotate through a given angle with respect to the product, thus inducing a shearing effect between the internal surface of the cap and the surface of the product.

Abstract: A cartridge type feeding container for a cosmetics stick has a structure such that the diameter can be easily reduced, the product can be easily assembled, and the number of parts employed therein can be reduced. A cartridge (5) in the main body (1) has a push spring (17) which urges a chuck (13) toward a retracting direction. The push spring (17) is mounted between the rear end of a bar (15) of the chuck (13) and a partition member (47) of a cartridge cylinder (11). On the cartridge cylinder (11) and on a push rod (23) are provided synchronously engageable sections (59 and 71) which are engageable with each other to render the cartridge cylinder (11) and the push rod (23) non-rotatable relative to each other.
